I can do it

Self-confidence is the key to opening the door to success; self-confidence is the step to a successful mountain; self-confidence is the bridge to success; as long as you have confidence and unremitting perseverance, things that are difficult will become simpler.

I remember that when I was six years old, when I saw some of my brothers and sisters playing in the pool, I was envious. In my repeated requests, my father and mother gave me a swimming class. When I entered the swimming pool, I was attracted by the performances in the deep water area. Some of them swam like small fish; some like the waves of the sea tumbling; others float like floating ducks on the water, not moving. . The coach introduced some precautions and took us to the shallow waters. After doing some warm-up exercises, we began to teach us the suffocation. Many people just put their heads in the water and lifted them up again. They took a few mouthfuls of water and their eyes and nose were red. I thought: I can't do such a simple thing, but it is a veritable "novice". I summed up their failure experience, took a deep breath, pinched my nose and put my head into the water. One second, two seconds, three seconds - thirty seconds passed in the blink of an eye, I succeeded, met the coach's request, and surrounded by warm applause, even the mother upstairs also voted for me. Eyes, I suddenly multiply my confidence, I thought: I will definitely be a good little swimmer in the class.

After learning the suffocating and drowning, the coach let us loosen the railing practice. Many of the students failed: some hands and feet were uncoordinated, and the tops and feet were light; some could not hold the balance, and then they sank to the bottom and drank a "happy". Of course, I am no exception. When I just jumped down, I took a swig of water and my nose was burning. The things in front of me became blurred. Many of my classmates played a retreat. I also retreated, but I looked up and saw my mother’s vote. Looking forward to my eyes, I thought: I will be able to do it! So, I jumped back into the water and continued to practice.

During these fifteen days, I not only learned the breaststroke, but also realized the profound meaning of "confidence." Since then, no matter how difficult it is, I will say to myself: "Liu Yulin, you can do it!"
