Talking about the Problem of Traditional Culture Education for Teenagers

Abstract: China is like an old tree with a history of 5,000 years. The reason why it can stand in the forest of the world nation for several years lies in its roots. Its roots are large and profound, and it contains countless treasures of the Chinese nation. It is amazing – this is the traditional culture of China!

However, in the face of such a broad and everlasting culture, there are countless young people who are indifferent to this, but are trapped in the quagmire of the so-called mainstream culture, and even more smeared it with the color that should not be. In this way, how to carry out traditional cultural education for adolescents is imminent.

Keywords: Chinese traditional culture; youth; education

First, the relationship between traditional culture and youth

Chinese traditional culture is the crystallization of the hard work and wisdom of the Chinese nation for thousands of years. "Tang Poetry", "Song Song", "The Analects of Confucius", "Mencius" and so on are all outstanding classics. Because they are the essence of civilization, they are the embodiment of ancient Chinese thoughts. No matter how many years of wind and rain, they will always stand at the forefront of the times and never converge on their sharp edges. Because of this, for today's teenagers, their significance is still extremely far-reaching.

These traditional cultures are a kind of precious spiritual support. They have a deep and profound classical charm. They can cultivate our sentiments, recuperate our character, and play a very important guiding role in the development of our own quality. It can be said that the traditional culture that exudes the fragrance of the sultry, the closer we are, the more we can give us warmth, insight and strength. Therefore, we should choose to bring our own traditional culture to our side and plant it in our hearts.

On the other hand, young people are the future of our country and nation, and our traditional culture must be passed down from generation to generation through their hands. How to make traditional culture uninterrupted, to integrate into the soul of each country in the future, is also closely related to the understanding of traditional culture by young people.

Second, traditional culture among young people

One day, the language teacher said a sentence in the class: "The son is in Chuan Shangyu: 'The deceased is like a husband.'" The students looked at the teacher in the audience. The teacher asked: "Do you know who this 'child' is?" Everyone looked at each other, and after a burst of humming, no one answered. Only one classmate seemed to mutter a little thoughtfully: "Is it Mencius or Zhuangzi?" "The teacher saw this situation, almost speechless, and had to swear: "It is Confucius!" At this time, everyone suddenly realized that they were "squatting". The teacher stayed there and couldn't speak for a long time. This is a true story that took place in the first class of a middle school.

Perhaps you think that the quality of education in this school is too bad, but Newsweek published a set of data in the article "Cognition and Attitudes of Contemporary Youth to Chinese Traditional Culture" on May 4, 2004: When asked about the reading of the "A Collection of Ancient History History," 79% of people answered "Occasionally read", 13% answered "respecting the distance," saying that "there is 2% of those who hate it," only 6% said. "I love it." And for the four major literary classics, "I have seen 27% of the "," I have seen "15%, but only" one or two of them have seen "up to 48%." In the traditional art In terms of the degree of affection, “42% of people said that they can go to Beijing Opera or some other local drama”, and there are as many as “not interested”, and 4% said “very annoying”. Only 11% of people "like it very much."

Although this is already the case in 2004, until today, this problem has not disappeared with the annual ring, but it has "re-emerged". Recently, I accidentally saw the "non-mainstream" version of "Dream of Red Mansions" on the Internet. In the picture, Lin’s sister cuts her hair and squats on the dry, sullen look; Xue Baozhen also dyed her hair, and her face was arrogant. Is this still the classic classic of the past, "Dream of Red Mansions"? This is simply awkward and ruining the traditional culture of China. If Mr. Cao Xueqin is still alive, seeing this, he must cry out.

The world's most translated books, the first is the Bible, and the second is China's Laozi. In the streets and lanes of foreign countries, people are holding the shadow of the Bible. In China, how many people have opened the title page of Laozi?

All of these have revealed a very serious problem to us and urged us to: "We must strengthen the traditional cultural education for young people!"

Third, how to carry out traditional cultural education for young people

If you have any problems, you must find a way to solve them. Here, I will only make my suggestions.

1. Open a special traditional cultural education course. The premise for teenagers to learn a good thing seriously is interest. Therefore, traditional cultural education courses should strive to be lively and lively. In the classroom, the teacher should tell the students as much as possible about the stories of the hundreds of scholars and ancient Chinese celebrities. They can be equipped with multimedia entertainment activities such as watching animation and watching movies to attract students' attention and inspire students' thinking. Let them listen to the lesson.

2. Use traditional culture as a student assessment program. This is to pass the exam to arouse the attention of young people to traditional culture, but it must be different from other exams. Otherwise, is it not to let the students complain? Therefore, we have to adopt different forms. When you take the exam, you only need to answer the most basic and simple fill-in-choice questions. If you want to get a high score, you have to rely on your usual efforts. The teacher will give a major score based on your usual level of seriousness in the classroom, and will test your reading of classical works as another scoring point. The total score of this course is not very large, and it is divided into 20 to 40. This will achieve the perfect goal of not giving too much pressure to students and better achieving traditional cultural education.

3. Use the holidays to organize students to hold summer camp activities. In the summer camp activities, students will be invited to visit places such as Confucius Temple, Celebrity House or History Museum, which have traditional cultural and educational significance. They can also hold colorful performances such as traditional stories, reading scriptures, poems and singing operas. Let the students further experience the charm of traditional culture, understand the connotation of traditional culture in a more detailed way, think in practice, learn in entertainment, and have a close contact with traditional culture, so that traditional culture can penetrate into their hearts.

The traditional culture education for young people is not only the responsibility of teachers, parents, schools, but also the whole society, the entire nation, and the whole country. Let us work together to spread the traditional culture from generation to generation and carry it forward!
