Beijing 13-year-old "genius" was sent to Peking University, the college entrance examination score was 698 points in science

The 13-year-old Shu Han is a student of the Beijing Eighth Children's Class and was sent to the Peking University School of Mathematics this year. As the only middle school student representative in Beijing, he went to the United States from May 12th to 17th to participate in the Broadcom MASTERS International Middle School Students Science and Technology Project. Yesterday, the reporter learned that a total of 24 students from the Beijing Eighth Children's Class participated in the college entrance examination this year. Five of them were admitted to Peking University and two students were admitted to Tsinghua University.

According to reports, this year, with its own research topic "CPI weight change analysis and trend forecast", Shuhan became the second prize of the National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition Science and Technology Project, and was recommended to participate in the international middle school students science and technology project. His time in the United States was less than a month away from the Beijing college entrance examination. After returning from the United States to Beijing, the final score of the college entrance examination was 698 points.

10 years old, taking parents to apply for children's classes

At the age of 13, the same-age child has just entered the country, and Shu Han has been sent to the Peking University School of Mathematics. So far, Shuhan has won 20 awards in various science, mathematics, and physics in the country and Beijing.

Shu Han’s mother, Yu Yuxing, said that they did not deliberately train him to become a “child prodigy”. According to their plan for his son, he should follow the ministry, junior high school entrance examination, and then college entrance examination. This plan was changed by the son himself at the age of 10.

When he was 10 years old, he also went to Zhongguancun’s third country to go to school. He said that the eight children’s classes were enrolled. He told the mother this message. "At that time, I advised my son to say that you are not the same material and did not support him to sign up." Yu Yuxing said that his son could not help but persuaded his classmates to borrow 150 yuan to take up his parents to sign up. After the initial test, when entering the retest, Shuhan told the parents about this message. In this way, about 1600 students were selected into the children's class.

For the difference between himself and his peers, Shu Han believes that he is not a genius, but he is more focused from an early age. Generally, he can digest what he has learned in class, and rarely review his homework after class. For the future planning, Shu Han said that no matter what industry he is engaged in, he will definitely be related to mathematics, because he has a special liking for mathematics since he was a child.
