The Teacher's Day Teacher's Day is the only three industrial festivals in China including the Nurse's Day and the Journalist's Day. Since 1931, China has had four teacher festivals of different dates and natures in different historical periods.

In 1951, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions jointly agreed to merge Teacher's Day with the "May 1st" International Labor Day as the Teacher's Day of China. For various reasons, the Teacher's Day did not actually implement the fine tradition of "respecting teachers and teaching" and improving the status of teachers. On January 21, 1985, at the ninth meeting of the Standing Committee of the Sixth National People's Congress, the State Council officially passed the State Council. Establish a teacher's day proposal to determine September 10th as the Teacher's Day of China. Since then, the teacher has had his own holiday.
On the first Teacher's Day, Li Xiannian, then president of the country, sent a condolence letter to the national teachers to congratulate the festival. On the same day, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the State Education Commission, the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the National Education Union and other units held a grand gathering in the Great Hall of the People.
