As a representative of civil society organizations, after the earthquake disaster, volunteers who wished to travel to Chengdu, Sichuan, appeared in the emergency rescue site at the first time, and set up an on-site coordination office in the disaster area, contact the official, coordinate materials, and provide volunteers. Resources have played an active role in providing long-distance volunteers such as Beijing to rescue and coordinate the distribution of materials. They also reported the situation to the disaster-stricken areas in Beijing and raised urgently needed materials in the disaster areas. Volunteers from Beijing and Tianjin risked their lives and went to the front of the disaster relief area to transport the much-needed tents and other supplies and medicines to the disaster area.
When the earthquake occurred, I hope that Hunan University volunteers and Sichuan University volunteers will conduct social research in Wenchuan and Shifang. Fortunately, there are no casualties in our volunteers. Volunteers were involved in the local disaster relief work for the first time, and they were evacuated to the rear until the national rescue team arrived. In this earthquake relief work, I hope that the volunteers will travel to the disaster area with more than 50 vehicles, totaling more than 100 people, from Chengdu, Chongqing, Beijing, Tianjin, etc. Their main job is to transport materials and professional relief personnel. After Chengdu, it was included in the unified management of local volunteers. I hope that the journey will cooperate with the media in Beijing, host a disaster relief party, and assist various foundations to raise relief materials and funds. A total of more than 1,000 volunteer vehicles will be dispatched. It is hoped that the journey, as a mode of operation for NGO participation and the characteristics of open and transparent volunteer service, will be recognized and supported by all sectors of society. Since August 2004, I hope that the travel charity organization will cooperate with social enterprises and many outstanding colleges and universities, and have donated clothes for Tibet Changdu, Ganoderma lucidum, Shigatse, Ali, Qinghai Xunhua Wendu, Gansu Weinan, Sichuan earthquake-stricken areas and other places. Hundreds of thousands of people have directly received more than 70,000 people. After field visits, in 2009, our organization officially designated “Wendu Tibetan Township of Xunhua Salar Autonomous County in Haidong District of Qinghai Province” as the key aid target for 2009-2010. Saifu is an innovative public welfare practice community with college students as the main body.
