The 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is a very important meeting held at the crucial stage of China's reform and development. The report of the 16th Central Committee adopted by the General Assembly depicts the grand blueprint for continuing to build a well-off society in an all-round way and accelerating socialist modernization under the conditions of the new era, and has pointed out the way forward for us to continue to promote the development of the party and the country. The crystallization of the wisdom of the people of all ethnic groups in the country is the political declaration and action plan of our party united to lead the people of all nationalities in the country to unswervingly follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and to continue to develop socialism with Chinese characteristics at the new historical starting point.

However, since China is still in the primary stage of socialism and its development foundation is weak and unbalanced, people's livelihood faces many new problems and new contradictions. For example, there are still more than 20 million rural poor people in China still under the subsistence level, and there are also a large number of low-income groups in cities and towns. On the other hand, due to the lag of social undertakings and the shortage of social public goods, it is difficult to see a doctor. New people's livelihood issues, such as difficulties in schooling and housing difficulties, which have the nature of personal security and development, have become increasingly prominent, and have become the new "three big mountains" that are currently pressing on the people...


As everyone knows, people's livelihood is the livelihood and life of the people. Since the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the agricultural tax has been abolished altogether, education has been given priority, the employment strategy has been expanded, the reform of the income distribution system has been deepened, social management has been improved, and fairness and justice have been maintained. These unremitting efforts have never stopped, fully embodying "development for the people, The development concept of relying on the people and the fruits of development to be shared by the people has won a good voice.

What is gratifying is that the report of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has devoted a lot of space to paying attention to this social issue, and continues to focus on people's livelihood, attaching importance to people's livelihood, safeguarding people's livelihood, improving people's livelihood as the core content of implementing the scientific development concept, and implementing the development of expanding employment.
