Microsoft internship diary

After a long time, those feelings at that time slowly faded and I forgot. I have been unknowingly coming to Microsoft for 4 days. I finally got used to it. I also want to sort out my recent mood. I also record it for myself and see if there is any vain every day here.

Day1:2012.7.5

I came to Microsoft on the first day of the day. The original agreement was 9:30, but I still used it for an hour. Because I had to ask my brother about how to go in the past, so I basically didn't miss too much time to find a way. When I came to the front desk, I was told to go out and look for a Chinese bank. I didn’t find it in the wrong direction. I finally decided to go back to the front desk and wait for the cherry to arrive. Cherry did not come, waited for her assistant, then led a group of interns to handle various entry procedures, led the computer, see mentor. . . This has passed in the morning. I started training in the afternoon, saying that I accidentally fell asleep during the training. When I woke up, I found that I was not only asleep, huh, huh~ The first day Microsoft came to feel like a paradise for researchers, hardware facilities. Not too picky, the research atmosphere is very strong, a group of very energetic young people gathered here feels really good, but it is also stressful, because the feeling of being surrounded by a group of "cow" is not so cool. !

Day2:2012.7.6

Although mentor is nominally ji-rong wen, he does not actually guide me personally. I saw the mentor who directly directed me today: qing yu. He introduced me to the project here and the tasks I have to complete in this project. Although it is not strange in the general direction, I am a layman after entering the details. I don't elaborate on what to do, it may involve confidentiality, but I think this project is very challenging. On the first day, I played a soy sauce in Microsoft for a day. Now I know that after the task, I am really motivated. I have to talk about my first shot!

Day3:2012.7.7

I clearly defined the task yesterday, and first received a paper that was not submitted by mentor. It took two days to read the paper carefully. I didn’t know much about the expertise in the ir field. Therefore, this article The paper took some time to digest and absorb. After reading it, I found the mentor in the first time to discuss some of the problems and put forward some opinions. Although they were dismissed by euphemism, I think this is a good start. I want to discuss more in the future. It is very important to communicate with mentor!

Day4:2012.7.8

Today, I participated in the first regular meeting of the project team. At the meeting, ji-rong introduced the overall situation and motivation of the project, and also learned about the intern participation in the project. This is my first time attending a Microsoft conference. The feeling of the conference is different from that of the lab group. It doesn't really make sense to know where it feels different. It may be more than a few times to know more. At the first regular meeting today, I was very happy to take the initiative to speak. In the laboratory, Teacher Liu taught us to speak more, ask more questions, and be more active at the meeting. I also always remembered Mr. Liu’s teachings, especially I am only a short period of 6 months here, every day is counted down, I can not just waste every regular meeting, can not just waste every opportunity. Before the next regular meeting, I must come up with a little bit of staged results. This Friday, no one has worked overtime. I have returned to my residence for a while. I have also made a big adjustment in the past few days. When I first came here, I suddenly had no friends around me, and the sadness of graduation has not faded. The mood almost fell to the bottom. Fortunately, her timely and effective encouragement allowed me to gradually adjust my mindset. I found that she can now grasp my psychology and know how to encourage me to work hard. Oh, I feel more and more inseparable from her! I am looking forward to her early arrival in Beijing, at least with me for a summer vacation.
