Measuring the internship log

First day of internship

November 23 Weather: Yintation site a8 a7

Today is the first day of a surveying internship. In the morning, I rushed to the door of the Science and Technology Department with expectation and excitement. After we found the site to be tested, we started to work with great enthusiasm. We selected a8 as the first test site. Because it was not clear how to do it, we waited for the teacher to come over and give us some operational guidance, and started our step-by-step measurement of the first site. First, we have centered the theodolite, and then we have to draw the initial zero edge. I was going to set the ruler, but with the teacher’s reminder, we know that we should use a pen as the observation point to find Zero point. The teacher said that if you use a ruler, it is too wide and will cause too much error. By the way, the teacher also criticized that the needles of our group of protractor are too thin, which will lead to the position of the protractor when drawing, and the image is not accurate. When we immediately promised to draw, we will replace the needle with a thick one.
At the beginning, we all thought that the internship was a very simple matter. The team leader also said that everyone has to measure one point today. When we really did it, we discovered that the broken step measurement was much more complicated than we thought. In order to accurately draw the graphics, we have to measure all the prominent points near a8, including the corners, steps, flowers and so on. We think of the teacher’s previous seniors who have measured more than a thousand points and began to understand why they have to rush to the task in the rain. Fortunately, everyone began to get familiar with the various steps, the division of labor and cooperation, the speed is faster than the beginning. But by 12 o'clock, a test site has not been completed. In the middle, due to the negligence of some vertical rulers, the position of the flowerbed is not consistent with the actual situation. We worked hard to overcome the frustration and immediately retested.

Because the daylight in winter is short, we unanimously decided not to have a lunch break at noon. It is finally possible to measure a7 points around two in the afternoon. It is my turn to be responsible for the observation. Because a little mistake is seen in the morning, the graphics will be greatly deviated. So when I started to observe, I was very nervous. The reading is also a bit slow to read. But the members patiently matched my footsteps and gave me a lot of confidence. After entering the state, it is a lot faster. I think a lot of things are the same as our internship. I didn't understand it at the beginning, so I thought it was very difficult, but only after a bold attempt and practice, can I really master it.

Around five o'clock, the day was a bit dark, and we also ended the first day of internship, a total of more than 70 points. Although the progress is slower than we thought, I believe we can do better tomorrow.

Internship the next day

November 24 Weather: Yin test site a6-2 a6-4

Today we finally started testing the third test site: a6-4. The third point is behind the library. I was dumbfounded when I arrived in the morning. There are so many trees, manhole covers, and fragmentary points. We faintly felt the arduous task of today. I am responsible for drawing pictures in the morning. Today's wind is very strong. When I was drawing, my hands were cold and shivering. I managed to draw more than 30 points. I found that the small nails nailed to the protractor were running. After nailing the small nails on the protractor, I had to draw the paintings. Click again to erase the redraw points that are not at the same point. Because I didn't pay attention to it, the whole picture showed a deviation. In the next picture, I didn't dare to take it lightly. Try to press the small nail with one hand to prevent it from being biased again. However, in the process of drawing, many other problems have been encountered, such as two points on the ground. After the scale of 1:500 is reduced, the picture is drawn at almost one point. How will it be? They are drawn without making them different from the actual terrain, which is a matter of great care when drawing. Because the terrain measured today is more complicated, there are several points that we have to spend a lot of time to complete. Unity is power. When we overcome each difficulty with tacit understanding, we feel very fulfilled.

The good news is that in the afternoon we finished the third point and entered the test a6-2. A6-2 is located in front of the library. Since there are only roads and buildings around, the whole measurement is relatively simple, so we hope that the fourth point can be measured today. Try to complete the speed of two points every day. In the afternoon, I was mainly responsible for counting. Relatively speaking, this is the easiest job in all divisions. But it is still a task that needs to be taken seriously. Because it is necessary to keep up with the speed of the observer. It is also an important step in the inspection. In order to find the error in time, the average number of upper and lower wires should be calculated at the same time as the observer's reading, and the comparison should not exceed 5 mm. At the same time, it is necessary to calculate the horizontal distance in time to facilitate the team members to pull the ruler for inspection. So remembering the data can be said to be a task that cannot be stopped. During the period we found a large deviation in the data. After the repeated measurement, the reason could not be found. Finally, it was discovered that the drawing person misreaded the number on the protractor. This made me realize that each team member in a project is like a pipeline. No matter which part of the problem goes wrong, the project will not be able to proceed.

Since a6-2 measured faster at about three o'clock, we started to measure a6-3 and I observed it. It was a pity that it was dark at five o'clock, and we were not able to completely measure the a6-3 point.

Third day of internship

November 25th Weather: Sunny Site: a6-3 b9

Today is the third day of the internship. Today, I was sick, so I took the leave with the team leader in the morning, but I was thinking about the lack of a person in the group. The task of the other team members became very heavy. About eleven o'clock, although the head is still a little dizzy, but I decided to look for the team members in the past. In the past, I found that their efficiency in the morning was quite high. Except for the a6-3 point that I observed half of yesterday, I have already started measuring b9. B9 is located on the way to the library. So there are many trees and manhole covers to be measured on the roadside. Considering that my attention may not be very concentrated today, I chose to stand up. Because the various trees and buildings on the roadside are more complex, the workload is relatively larger. When I was standing on my feet, I remembered the embarrassment on my mother’s phone yesterday, saying that if you are standing on the ground, you should not only consider the accuracy of the data, but also consider personal safety issues. Because the ruler is long, remember to look up at the things under the building and avoid throwing something down and hurting yourself. In the process of standing on the ruler, in order to avoid increasing the error of the observer, I try to make the ruler stand upright.

After standing for a while, I was in charge of running the map in the afternoon. Running the chart is to compare with the picture we draw. This is my first time responsible for running the map. The team leader told me about how to draw a picture and asked me to choose a point. I started to work with a lot of freshness. But after a while I found that running pictures is actually not that simple. The first is the staircase behind the library. I didn't pay attention when I usually walked. When I had to draw a rough figure today, I found that the stairs were designed. I observed it for a long time before I finished it completely. After the first painting, the drawing staff thought it was too complicated, because I painted the entire staircase and did not draw the details. Then he repainted. At the same time, I found that the selection is actually a very important job. I want to choose a representative place. At the same time, I must pay attention to not having more points. The opposite is not only the useless points, but also the measurement, calculation and drawing. The amount of labor and time-consuming, and the large number of errors caused by the confusion of too many points, will cause the drawing staff to connect the points.

Later, we found that one of our teams could not measure at the existing station, so we added a station. After we have fixed the new station, we will use the theodolite and the steel ruler to determine the basic information such as the coordinates of the point and mark it. It’s getting dark, we ended our internship today.

After a long day, I felt that I had learned a lot.

Fourth day of internship

November 26 Weather: Sunny Site: 347 a8-1 b8 423 b9

Today is the fourth day of the internship. At about 8 o'clock in the morning, I took a tripod and assembled with the group members. Because several points were blocked by buildings at b9 yesterday, we made a turning point between b9 and a6-4 today. 347. This morning I was responsible for counting and calculating the horizontal distance and height difference. So the new day began in a hurry. At each station, after the calculation of the horizontal distance, it is necessary to check. If the calculated distance between the horizontal distance and the ground distance is 10 cm more, it is necessary to retest. I thought that there was a point yesterday that I did not know why and retested many lessons. I count the data, I dare not have a distraction. At noon, we continued to test in order to hurry and then bought something and finished eating it. In the afternoon, we started measuring the a8-1 point. After measuring the observer for a while, I changed the task with him and I was responsible for the observation. Because the focusing and reading of the telescope is relatively more proficient than the beginning, it is quite easy to observe. As long as the steps are correct, the general data will not have much problem. Instead, because of the constant reporting of data and communication with the staff, it was measured that the back throat was hoarse.

At noon, we found that the picture drawn was a bit problematic. Going back and checking it out, it turned out that the original coordinates were wrong. This causes our entire image to be translated into a square to the y-axis. The members are a bit frustrated. So I called the teacher and the teacher came over to look at our picture in the afternoon, saying that if the exhibition points can be displayed on the map, you don't have to redraw. However, we found that the test site of the a7 point was also mistaken. In this case, the points drawn with the a7 point as the starting point are also wrong... because there are too many places to change, the last group The member still decided to repaint the picture. Although redrawing means a lot of work is added, two members of the group take the initiative to undertake this task.

After this lesson, our team discussed this mistake. The team leader analyzed the reasons for our mistakes. They all wanted to complete the task quickly and rushed to work so that some places were not careful enough. We decided to correct the mistake. Through today's lesson, we will face the next internship with a serious and realistic attitude.

Fifth day of internship

November 27th Weather: Sunny Site: a7 463

Today is the fifth day of the internship. I can wake up very early in the morning and go out with my instrument. Everything has been taken for granted. We have two stations left untested, but we don't feel relaxed at all. The internship in the past few days has enabled us to see the mistakes caused by various mistakes. Even if careful step-by-step check-in, the internship was not smooth because of lack of experience. In the morning we measured the test site we added to measure the corners of the mechanical research. A team member went to the new district to buy a new polyester film, and we kept the measurement progress. Fortunately, there is no problem. At ten o'clock, the new drawings were bought back. After discussion, we decided to implement a new division of labor strategy. The person in charge is responsible for drawing, trying to speed up the drawing, and other members are responsible for measuring to avoid delays in measurement and recording, and at the same time completing calculation and recording work. At about noon, we also finished measuring 463 points with the addition. I thought that as long as I retested the a7 point, I could complete the broken step measurement. In the afternoon, the teacher brought the total station instrument, helped check the various stations, coordinate values, and also helped you to add several stations.

We have added two test sites, which means our mission has increased. As you get closer to the back, the more things you find, the more you start to feel upset. Me too, today I just want to sit and remember the data. Calculate the data with one heart, don't want to say anything, and don't think about how many tasks we have. Today everyone’s enthusiasm has suffered some setbacks. I hope that tomorrow will be able to cheer up and complete the remaining tasks with enthusiasm.

Internship day 6

November 28th weather: sunny to negative site: a8-3 a8-4

Today is Saturday. So we only plan to measure one morning. After all, the heavy load of work for many days makes everyone's mood not very good. Because there are three physics classes in the morning, I can only go to class first. About ten o'clock after class, I used to meet with the team members. When I got there, I found that today's task is mainly the two stations that the teacher added for us yesterday. Because I was late, the classmate who was on the ruler was tired, so I took over his job. At the request of the drawing staff, in order to make the whole drawing as full as possible, we have slightly expanded the measuring range when we are measuring the station today. Originally, when we used our own test site, the right side of the range only measured the roadside. At the new site, we decided to add the row of trees on the right side of the road. So the people with the running ruler went to the waste land on the edge of the chemical building. There are many tree running feet of different sizes in this place. After a certain selection of personnel, some trees were properly measured. At about noon, the team leader announced that he could rest in the afternoon.

So today's internship is relatively easy to complete.

Internship seventh day

Weather on November 29: Sunny Site a6-2

Today is the seventh day of the internship and the weekend. After a rest in the morning. We started the internship from 1:30 pm. After yesterday, we have completed all the control points that the teacher has arranged. This afternoon, what we need to do is to make a supplementary test of the a6-2 point in front of the library. This is our first supplementary point. We will expand the entire measurement range. On the basis of the previous, expand the periphery according to the suggestions of the drawing staff. Obviously after a morning break, our team's energy was restored. In the afternoon, I was responsible for counting. I didn't expect the wind in front of the Science Building to be very strong. When I counted, my hair was blown to my face to block my eyes. I regretted not tying my hair. However, I still try my best to avoid interference with the hair, and calculate the mid-wire reading while quickly recording the observer's reading so that it can be corrected in time for large errors. Because the counting speed is faster than before, so I count the interval, vertical angle, horizontal distance and height difference while counting. This not only facilitates the simplicity of the inspection, but also reduces part of the work of data processing afterwards. If the reading has a large error, there will be some reflection in the calculated data, which can be corrected in time.

Because everyone is already familiar with the road, the efficiency of the whole afternoon is relatively high. There are no mistakes that have occurred in the past few days. After measuring a6-2 points, we can see that the sky is not too early. There is no way to measure one more point.

Internship eighth day

November 30th Weather: Sunny Site: a6-1 b8 a7

Today is the eighth day of the internship, and the second day we entered the test. Today, according to the picture drawn, we first selected a6-1 in front of the library as a supplementary test point. In the morning I am responsible for the ruler. With a few days of experience, I have some new understandings of the vertical scale, which seems to require only physical work. First of all, we must assist the selection staff to find the most suitable point. At the same time, at the selected point, the error of the observer should be minimized. For example, the ruler must be straight, and then the shake of the ruler should be avoided during the observation process, otherwise the observer's reading will have a large error. When you encounter a place similar to a flower bud, when you want to measure the four corner points, it is also necessary to think about where to place the ruler.

In the afternoon I was responsible for the observation of a7. Now I have been able to observe it very skillfully. But there are still some problems in the middle. It is the point number of the counting staff and the point number of the running staff suddenly cannot be matched. I don't know if it is a position changer. I thought I didn't change it, so I missed the test, or other reasons, which made the two parties unable to match. In order to find out the missing points, we can only detect from the beginning. The whole process took a lot of time.

Throughout the process of retesting, we have expanded the area of the periphery as much as possible, and added a large number of landforms, such as grasslands, open spaces, fountains, rockeries, etc., which are relatively large in size and simple in drawing. It is more careful than the previous measurement points. About 5 o'clock, we completed the test of the a7 point. The team leader divided the data. After we brought it back to the dormitory to calculate the data, I took three pieces of data back to the dormitory and ended the internship task today.

Internship ninth day

December 1st Weather: Negative Site: a6-1 a8

Today is the eighth day of the internship. When I passed by in the morning, I found that the team members were on the side of a. Originally we planned to retest a8 points this morning. But there are already people testing there. We had to go to the library and wait for another quick group. This morning's plan was to measure the shape of the interior of the fountain in front of the library. Because it is temporarily untestable, everyone divides the data to process. Each piece of data looks like the formula already knows how it looks like it will be, but it still takes a long time to calculate, because the amount is really large. Later, there were three Oolong events with data loss. Fortunately, the data was photographed because of the needs of the previous drafters. So I got a new task, which is to copy the data. After scanning the photo, copy it to the new form.

Wait until about 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and finally we can measure our last retest point a8. I am responsible for the observation. The specific steps have not changed. On the way, because of the time of class, the flow of people was very large, which delayed our measurement. At the same time, because the class is very noisy, I did not pay attention to miss a point with the staff. The number of students who caused the running ruler and the counting staff could not be matched. After we have calculated the flat distance and found the measured points, in order to ensure accuracy, we will delete the following points and re-observe. Very happy that at 5 o'clock, we completed the a8 point test. It is exactly 1000 points, which means that our broken step measurement is over, and then it is the problem of drawing and data processing. This should be the happiest day for the team members these days.

Ten days of internship

Weather on December 2: Sunny Today is the tenth day of the internship. In the morning, the team leader notified seven and a half days to gather at a62. At the beginning, I was a bit puzzled. I felt that the broken steps had been measured yesterday. Why should I get up early today? When I got there, I realized that I had to measure the horizontal angle between the stations. At the beginning we didn't know how many rounds a site would do. To be on the safe side, after discussion, like the first horizontal angle internship, each person measured a round and calculated the difference between the measurements to see if our readings were correct. The individual half-testback difference does not exceed 24', and the difference between the team members does not exceed 40'. And each person takes 180°/n as the initial angle in order. Because there is no benchmark, we use a pen instead. The fourth turn is my observation. It is fine when the disc is left, because the recent internship observations only use the left side. Therefore, after half-testing, it is very uncomfortable to switch to the face of the face. Stop and stop to find the position of the horizontal brake. However, I have been used to it after two measurements. When I was aiming at the pen, I remembered that the teacher had said that I should aim at the bottom as much as possible, and that I should use a double wire to clamp the target or divide it with a monofilament to reduce the error. I am happy that the data I only measured once met the requirements.

In the afternoon, we called the teacher. The teacher said that each test site only needs to measure one test. So we changed from the fourth test site to a test site for each person. Unfortunately, the a82 point was blocked by the car, so we got the job early at about four o'clock.

Internship day eleventh

December 3rd weather: sunny

Today is the eleventh day of the internship. In the morning, we still concentrated at a6-2 points. Today we need to measure the horizontal angle of the test site that was not seen by the car yesterday and the distance between the test sites.

At the same time, the most delicate protagonist in this internship today has to appear again, that is the steel ruler. Every time we use a steel ruler, it is very tense. Because the steel ruler is damaged by the car or if someone accidentally steps on it. If the error is increased, the steel ruler is broken. But because of its high precision, we can't replace it with a tape measure. However, many of our test sites are on the side of the road, and there are constantly vehicles and people passing by. Each time the steel ruler is pulled, except for the two members, the remaining members are protected in sections. In order to improve the accuracy, we generally choose the male ruler, because they have a relatively strong strength, and the steel ruler can be straightened as far as possible during the round-trip test. I am mainly responsible for protecting the steel ruler. On several occasions, pedestrians did not pay attention to almost stepping on because they did not see the steel ruler on the road. In the end, I can only protect the steel ruler with the bamboo pole regardless of the image. When the amount is between a7 and a6-2, we find that this place cannot be directly measured, and it is necessary to use the theodolite to segment the points. But the sky is getting dark, so we can only put it on the instrument test and make up the test.

This is really a thrilling day.

Twelfth day of internship

December 4th Weather: Sunny

Today is the survey instrument for measurement.

In the morning we are conducting an inter-group exam. The content is to measure a level route. At 7:30 in the morning, we held the level gauge, and the tripod and the two rulers came to the front of the Science and Technology Hall. The route for our exam is the squad leader's station route. We are in the second group. When we haven't arrived yet, let's practice the leveling of the level, and hope that it will speed up the measurement time. After a while, the squad leader informed us that it was our turn. Because the slowest two groups in the morning have to be retested. So we don't dare to delay at any time. Because of the lack of experience, the first and second stations have been looking for a long time in the middle. Especially at the second site, the front and rear line of sight measured for the first time differed by 7 meters, because the tolerance between them was 5 meters, so we were very re-tested. At the next few points we are all rushing to the next site. Passers-by saw it and even thought that we were doing extreme testing. The biggest mistake I made in the morning was wearing boots to test, because I didn't expect to run. In the end, we ended up not using the two groups for the longest time.

After completing the group test, I will stay in front of the Science and Technology Hall for the examination of the personal horizontal angle measurement in the afternoon, and practice the centering of the theodolite. The exam requirements are measured in seven minutes. This means that we have to level the instrument in about 3 minutes. I have to use it for more than four minutes at the beginning. After practice, it can be completed in more than two minutes. In the afternoon exam, when I was in the first exam, I was very nervous. For some reason, the leveling bubble can only be centered in two sides, and each time it goes to the third side, it is more than one square. As time passed, I became more and more nervous. In the end, not only is the time exceeded, but the data read out is also wrong. So I can only retest. The second time, although still very nervous, but more familiar than the previous time, so completed in more than four minutes. Originally, I wanted to test again to improve my performance. However, I later put the glasses in the dormitory. When I was testing, I found that I could not read the readings. I could only give up.

Afterwards, the teacher said that we should take the instrument test in order to avoid some students not like to do it during the internship. Let us look at the difference between theory and actual operation. The tense day passed, and it meant that our internship was coming to an end. Although I complained that the internship was very tired almost every day for two weeks, I really missed the process of working hard for the same thing in the past two weeks.
