In 11 years, the Association of Student Associations of our college will continue to work on the principle of “independence, letting go, being pragmatic, and breaking through”.
"Independence" means enhancing the autonomy and initiative of various societies and associations. Of course, "self-determination" is relative here, that is, in the management of associations, we must guard against the two undesirable tendencies of "social unions and social associations"; "Let's live", including the association's "decentralization" and the various clubs exert their subjective initiative to show their vitality and characteristics. The main contradiction of the current development of the association is that the "unification" is too dead. Only the social association can "put" the rights to the various associations. "Being pragmatic" is the principle of work that has been advocated since the establishment of this society. It means that students who participate in the work and activities of the association can really learn things, make progress together, never engage in formalism, and do not make false propaganda. "Breakthrough" means dare to break the conventional thinking and not be bound by the mindset, including breaking through the system.
Although the above guidelines do not specifically mention “innovation”, they include “innovation”. Among them, "independence" and "release" are the foundation of innovation. "Practical" is the premise and foundation of innovation. "Breakthrough" is the path and result of innovation.
In addition to this policy, we will continue to adhere to the main work ideas since the establishment of the current Social Union.
1. Identify the orientation and goals of the student community. We believe that college student associations are mass organizations that are formed spontaneously by young college students based on common interests and hobbies. We can extract two keywords of “hobbies” and “autonomy”. Obviously, "hobbies and hobbies" are the foundation of the existence of the society. If this foundation is lost, the true meaning of the association will cease to exist, and only if it has the basic community can exist and develop. Of course, this "hobbies" can be long-lasting or temporary; they can be ideals and beliefs, they can be general and entertaining; they can be mainstream or non-mainstream... "There are two levels: First, the issue of "free space". Since we believe that the association is a mass organization, we should recognize the relative independence of its status and give the community a space for its own activities. As long as it is not prohibited by law, as long as it does not harm the legitimate interests of the group, as long as it does not infringe on the legitimate rights and interests of others, we should not take measures to interfere. This is based on the second level, that is, the community and students can self-manage, self-discipline, and self-progress. We believe but do not blindly and confidently believe that college students have and should have this self-management ability.
The “association” here includes not only the various associations, but also the associations themselves. As a joint organization of the association, the Association of Societies undertakes the functions of overall planning and supervision. This kind of overall planning and supervision should not presuppose that it violates the inherent existence value of the society in the general sense. Only in this way can the associations play a positive effect on the development of the associations, and then they can enhance the cohesiveness and centripetal force of the associations. Improve the self-management ability of our students and create a good atmosphere for the students' self-development and progress.
Only by clearly positioning, recognizing the value of its existence, and seeing the vision of the future, the community can maximize its role and become the main force of campus culture.
2. Adhere to the principle of unification of standardization and flexibility. Any organization must have its own culture in order to achieve long-term development. As one of the younger colleges in the school, our college is relatively young. Whether it is the social association or the associations, they have not yet come out of their own way. A lot of things are not very standard. Although there are relevant regulations in the college, this is not enough. Our system needs to be further improved. It must not only have a general direction of planning, but also detailed guidance. Not only must the social association have a unified system, but each community must also have its own norms. At the same time of standardization and institutionalization, we must pay attention to the fact that the nature of the association determines its "living" characteristics. It is very important to "live" the association. We cannot limit the space for the independent development of the association for the construction of the system, or even the association. The development of malformation should fully mobilize the enthusiasm of various societies, so that they consciously promote the development and prosperity of the entire community and campus culture with their own development.
3. Branding, quality and miniaturization, and civilian community. Tree brand and quality products are the top priorities of the development of our society. We will focus on cultivating and supporting elite associations and new people's associations with distinctive and powerful associations on the basis of maintaining the development of various associations. Influential branding clubs inside and outside the school. At the same time, we should lower the threshold for community access, improve the registration and cancellation mechanism of the association, allow and support the existence and development of small associations and “Meteor Society”, and encourage the majority of students to form associations spontaneously. Since the implementation of the system, there has been Rui Zhijian. The Xingshe, Xiangyi Badminton Association and Lanxin Literature Society have joined the community of our college. These measures will lay the foundation for the realization of the new pattern of “super coexistence, super-strength, strong promotion, full bloom, and a hundred schools of thought contend”.
4. Coordinated development of pragmatic and propaganda work. Pragmaticity is mainly about the community's own job, the community as a super interest group, should put more energy into the development of its internal members, especially professional, theoretical academic community should pay more attention to this. We will increase the guidance of professional and theoretical academic associations such as the Xinmin Society and the Elite Managers Association, and strive to improve the professional level and comprehensive quality of the majority of young students. At the same time, we believe that propaganda work is also indispensable, which is very necessary for the development of the association itself. Only when the propaganda work is done can we attract more people with similar interests to join this group, and then promote collective and individual. Development also creates a good atmosphere for the development of various campus cultural activities.
