Ecology comprehensive internship experience

The field internship of this comprehensive ecological internship is located in the northern Jiu Shui Scenic Area of ​​Lushan Mountain, with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. On May 11th, 2019, we led by Liu Xinwei and Yang Hongxiao to the internship site of Lushan, and gave a general understanding of the surrounding environment in the afternoon. In the next day or two, Mr. Yang first guided us to know the representative plants in the Laoshan area, and explained in detail to us the value of plant resources such as the medicinal value of some plants. In the following days, under the leadership of Teacher Liu, we systematically investigated the plant community structure on three typical hillsides, and made survey records and data collection, and carried out biodiversity analysis. Species-area analysis, distribution pattern analysis. During the field internship , we also led a collection of small benthic samples from the intertidal zone at the Qingdao First Bathing Beach under the leadership of Teacher Zhang Yan.

After returning to school, we have done several environmental monitoring experiments, mastered some basic environmental monitoring methods, and learned to use the Internet to find relevant information.

Although the internship was hard, but after all the efforts, all the students successfully completed the internship task, reached the target of the reservation, and also had great gains. The students not only consolidated the theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom, but also for the future. The practice has laid a solid foundation and truly achieved the connection between theory and practice. Field research internships have enabled our professional knowledge to be consolidated and developed, making it easier for us to connect our learning with practice; internships make us aware of the lack of knowledge, we must re-read books, and humbly ask teachers to make up for their own shortcomings. Through this internship , we learned the calculation of biodiversity index, species-area relationship analysis and plant community pattern analysis. We also had a certain understanding of Laoshan vegetation and recognized representative plants; in the intertidal zone, small benthic organisms In the analysis process, the calculation methods of biological abundance, biomass and production amount were mastered. At the same time, in the process of internship , many difficulties were overcome through cooperation. It is further realized that unity is the essence of strength and enhances the friendship between teachers and students and the friendship between classmates.

In terms of life, as far as the individual is concerned, this is a difficult internship and a test of life. In the past few days, we have deeply realized the hard work of the internship . Teachers are also very difficult. Professional teachers are the leaders of the internship team. They must not only control the speed and direction to ensure the safety of the students, but also give us constant explanations. I had little contact with the teacher in the school. When I was internship, I found out that the teacher was also the most lovely person.

On the whole, this is an internship in growing knowledge and a perfect combination of theory and practice. In the course of the internship , the teacher took the physical object as an example, and further taught us the theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom, and gave us sufficient time to observe, so that we have a chance to do it ourselves.
