Helping others

Talking about civilization and understanding courtesy are the benchmarks for measuring one's morality. Respecting the elders and loving the weak are the traditional virtues of the Chinese clan. As descendants of the Chinese nation, we should be more civilized and polite.

In the bits and pieces of daily life, I know that there is no need to do civilized and politeness. As long as it is normal, it can be done. I remember that I have reported in "Today's Sight" that a gentleman has donated his love many times to help those in need. When the reporter wants to see the good-hearted person, he always refuses to show up, and is even more reluctant to say his name. People call him "living Lei Feng" and also relatively called him "Mr. Guan Wei". Through the search of the reporter, I finally learned that "Guan Wei" is a person who does not leave his real name in Guangdong. In the past five years, he has donated a total of 725,000 yuan. Usually, the rescue recipients are confirmed by telephone, and then the money is remitted. The only time to show up is in the fall of 2004, using the business trip to take away the subsidized invoices for several years. People who have seen him remember that "Guan Wei" is a middle-aged man in his forties. His civilized behavior of "good deeds" touched everyone.

Another time, there was a man who had bloodshed due to a car accident and needed blood transfusion! When "Today's Sight" sent a report for help, a comer knew that his blood type could save people. Hurry to donate blood. When the doctor learned that he had just offered less than three months, he could not donate blood. The old man did not hesitate to give up the blood of life again despite his own safety! Does his behavior misinterpret the meaning of the word "civilization"?

I believe that civilization is like a lamp, the lights are brighter, and the darkness around us is less. I believe that everyone's mind is like a window, and when the window is open, it will come in. I believe that "civilization is by our side", very close to us. It is close at hand. I believe that as long as each of us takes a small step in civilization, society will take a big step in civilization. Civilization is a kind of power. Like the torchbearers of the Olympics, it can gather and release the enthusiasm of all people in the hands of no one.

Let us join hands and jointly advocate the virtue of "telling civilization and building a new wind".
