Focused life is really mature

I have read an article written by a scholar for the post-study generation. The article says that many people with smart heads are mediocre after the age of 30, but those who are not smart but very focused are after the age of thirty. The results are getting better. This is his life experience. He hopes that young people will find something that they can put in as soon as possible and continue to do it.

I didn't agree with this view at the time, because in my opinion, whether a person is mediocre or has achievements, most of them need to be measured. For example, it depends on how many awards are won, how much money can be earned, and how much recognition is given by the peers. If a person has a somewhat independent mindset and is unwilling to pursue a prominent reputation, is it even " mediocre"?

But when I think about it, I find that I have overlooked another layer of things: that is, the independence of the world also needs to focus: focus on your own heart, focus on loneliness. An elder once told me that life after the age of 30 is about to begin subtraction. I didn't quite understand the meaning of this sentence. Now I gradually realized that it is also important to focus on concentration.

Why do you want to concentrate? Because only when you focus, you will feel solid, your feet will stand in a solid and reliable place, and your soul will be peaceful. The focus of career is just one. This is not utilitarianism, but because, only by achieving true concentration, you can provide a stable and powerful force to your heart, which is also metaphysical. Moreover, without concentration, there can be no real purity. The heart is full of interference and embarrassment, how can you reach the world of calm and wonderful world?

Many people's minds are immature, not because they are not willing to mature, precisely because they are not young. Like plants that lack good growth conditions, they cannot produce mature fruits. The mind is immature, this is not an individual, but the normal state of the human mind. There are very few people who can truly mature and be strong. Therefore, the world needs religion, philosophy, literature, and art. It needs these things and can provide some explanations and comforts for the chaotic life.

A few days ago, I visited a hometown in my hometown. He worked part-time day and night, and when I went to his home, he was on the computer. This person is a Chinese major, and he changed his major when he was a master. Now, he is even less able to understand that there is still something like "literature" in the world. He said that I have a spiritual life, I have a wife and children, what do you want literature to do? I don't read novels, and it's even more impossible to read poetry. These things are weak and lazy. I am reading a book in bed, but also in order to make more money, I will not waste any time.

A person really has to bear his own minimum survival, but must he pay for the exile spirit? Karen Honey once said that the hypocrisy is rooted in the dullness of the mind, it will only make us unbearable. A blow is never worthy of envy. And a philosophical statement in the West is more direct: Ning and Aristotle have the same sorrow and do not have fun with the sow.

However, many deeper tragedies stem from the lack of stability in the heart. This is especially true for people who have already reached the danger of the soul. Before the age of twenty, I always heard that many people who were very radical when they were young, liked to read Chinese ancient books. I want to come now because age and experience require a silent and harmonious thing to appear in life in time. No one can bear the split from the heart throughout life.

But whether such a heart is mature or aging, or is not premature. I remember that a microblog was popular last year. The general idea is that young people in China have never been young. Once they set foot on the society, they entered the world of middle-aged people. So I went back to the speculation I proposed earlier: Many people's minds are immature, not because they are not willing to mature, but because they are not really young at all. Therefore, they can't concentrate when they are focused. When they are deep, they can't be profound. When they are responsible, they can't afford it.

Some people who have entered middle age seem to have a great understanding of the situation, but they are escaping or simply dying. There is a simple way to judge, that is, to look at his attitude towards young people. If a middle-aged person has always been arrogant to young people, then it is basically speculated that this middle-aged person himself has not gained much meaningful things from youth, including the pursuit of freedom. Will I be such a middle-aged person in the future, depending on whether my youthful age is really not empty. Therefore, grasping the tail of youth is still very important to me. Even though I am 30 years old.

At the time of writing this blog, the "Autumn Day" of Rilke's translation of Feng Zhi's translation has always appeared in my head. This is one of my favorite poems when I was twenty. Maybe for ten years, I really didn't grow much. This decade is a decade when I am not focused. Ten years later, my love for this "Autumn Day" is still so shallow, just like the original. Despite this kind of love, there are more complicated and sad lives.

Lord, it is time.

Autumn was once very grand,

Drop its shadow on the sundial.

Let the autumn wind blow through the fields.

Let the last fruit grow full

Give them a few days in the southern climate

Force them to mature

Bring the last sweetness into a strong drink.

Whoever does not have a house at this time does not have to build.

Whoever is lonely at this time will be alone forever.

I will always be awake, read, and write a long letter.

Resting back and forth on the boulevard,

In the fall of leaves.
