Three realms of life

Life is divided into three categories.

The first is "material", which can be said to be "natural" life, or "economic" life.

Everything that belongs to the clothing, food, housing, and travel, and is subject to material aspects, is classified as such. Life itself is a natural one. Life cannot be separated from the big circle of nature. Life cannot be independent of material support. This is the first stage of human life. We can call it the first class of culture. Without this first class, there will be no such hierarchy.

However, life is a whole whole that is merged with each other in many aspects, so material life has long had to have a great spiritual component. If human beings have no desires, no wisdom, no interesting hobbies, and no work activities involving inner spirits, they will not have all material creations and activities in clothing, food, housing, and transportation. Therefore, in other words, clothing, food, housing, and transportation can only be said to be more dependent on the material part, but not pure material. It can only be said that it is closer to natural life than to a purely natural life.

As long as we call it "life", we have already belonged to the two aspects of "natural life" and "spiritual life", and are no longer purely natural and purely material. That is to say, in the natural world around us, such as mountains, fields, grasses, animals, landscapes, and the nature of the wilderness era, why is this? There have been hundreds of thousands of years of human spirit, continuous management, continuous management, Continuous transformation, continuous demand and the beginning of formation. The so-called nature that surrounds us at this moment is already the nature of human culture, not the original nature before the human civilization. In all the "world of things", there has long been the integration of the "heart world" of mankind.

Therefore, the so-called material life, only the comparison of all life is closer to the material side, but there is no such thing as a pure material life.

Second is the "social" life, or "political" life, "group" life.

This is the second stage of life, which we call the second class of culture. In the first class, people only face the world of things, and all life takes place from the relationship of "people to things". In the second class, people face people, that is, a large group of people. At this time, life is mainly added to the relationship between many people.

Human life, without first passing through the first class, will not be able to have a second class. However, human life has undergone a considerable evolution in a certain period of time, and it will inevitably enter the second class from the first class, but it will be a formal life. The first class is just that people live in the world of things, and it can be called a preparatory class. When he entered the second class, he began to live in the human world. For example, family organizations, state systems, ethnic classifications, etc., all of which belong to the group relationship, belong to this class.

Finally, we reach the third class of life. We can call it a "spiritual" life, or a "spiritual" life.

The life of this class is all conceptual, rational, and interesting, such as religious life, moral life, literary life, and artistic life. This is an invisible accumulation of life; this is a historical, time-honored life. Only this kind of life can be retained for a long time and exist for a long time.

Confucius, the time of Jesus, all material life, all political organizations, social laws, customs and habits, almost disappeared to this day, do not exist. The lives of their first and second classes at that time have all deteriorated. However, Confucius and Jesus' ideals and beliefs, ideas and lessons for life are still in the inner spirit, but they still exist and will be new. This belongs to the world of the heart. It is a kind of life that can't be seen, touched, and can be directly touched by your heart.
