This big boy who was born with a rare disease of the world - osteogenesis imperfecta, called Liu Daming, is 19 years old this year. A long time ago, doctors predicted that he could not live two years old.

Mother Zhao Yulian never thought about giving up her son's life. She still remembers that when Da Ming was only 6 months old, she took a bath and had a broken arm. She was sent to the hospital for a preliminary diagnosis of osteogenesis imperfecta. The patient was called a "glass doll." it has started.

The doctor advised her: "There is nothing to do with the child. I can't live two years old. There is no cure in the world."

At a very young age, Daming realized that he was different from other children. He can only stay honestly, can't play, can't fall. His activity space is only bed and sofa. Lying on the sofa reading a book and listening to other people's footsteps became a little fun for Da Ming's childhood.

Later, he began to lie in bed to learn to paint, but unfortunately, less than two months to learn painting, his left leg was broken.

In the days of pain, Da Ming liked to read books and took up Tang poems. He began to reveal his amazing talent in memory. Simple Tang poetry can be recited as long as the mother teaches it again.

But at first, no school was willing to accept this special child, and the school was worried about the safety of the child. By the time Da Ming was 7 years old, he had already completed the small national curriculum. When he wrote his name and home address in front of the principal of the National Primary School, he was admitted to the National Primary School of Zhengning Road, Lanzhou City.

In 2000, Da Ming was 6 years old. In Beijing, he was sentenced to “death penalty” by “a first-class orthopaedic expert in China.” But his parents insisted on persisting and did not give up on him. They accompanied Da Ming to spend the life of life. The difficult course of seeking medical care for many years, let the boy know from a young age that life is warm and cold, and his mind is far more mature than his peers.

In 2019, Da Ming's condition deteriorated again, and the spine was severely deformed into a huge S shape. The entire stomach was squeezed into thin strips. The milk could not be drunk for a few mouthfuls, and only three or four spoonfuls per meal could be eaten. At this point, the original intact vision is occasionally blurred. As a last resort, Da Ming’s family once again embarked on the road of seeking medical treatment.

In an authoritative hospital in China, the old expert watched the film and shook his head at Da Ming’s father reluctantly. “Don’t consider doing this surgery within a year... It’s best to lie down.”

The dream was broken again, but Da Ming was not willing. He later wrote: "I am not willing, not reconciled. As long as I can move, I will move forward, knock down and climb, and if I can't climb, I will move and squat, and it will be ugly."

In 2019, at the first National Middle School Campus Poetry Meeting held in Suzhou, Liu Daming sensationalized Gusu City with a touching poem "Soul Walker".

In the opening remarks, this wheelchair-based young poet shared his life: "I feel that suffering is a compulsory course in life. Behind the success is the invisible bitterness, and behind the brave there is a tribulation that we can't imagine. Everyone All should be able to bloom their infinite life value in a limited time."

Leave the torso to the disease and leave the soul to life

"You gave the torso to the disease, but left the soul to life. You shared happiness with emotions, but left grief to your heart. You gave your dreams to youth, but left the suffering to obsession..." The Soul Walker is a portrayal of Liu Daming’s own life.

Da Ming's body once needed to put on a heavy outer shell to support the correction of the bones. The metal strips were attached to the skin, which caused him to violently explode and often fainted. His clothes were always soaked throughout the winter. Even sleeping at night, I have to wear this hard plastic shell. After a long time, several parts of my body have been worn away.

He loves life, and although he can't stand his legs, he is obsessed with basketball. On the wall of his bedroom, the poster of the idol NBA star Kobe is covered.

Da Ming likes Kobe not only because of the skill of this famous star. A reporter once asked Kobe: "Why are you so successful?" Kobe asked the reporter: "Do you know what it looks like at 4 am in Los Angeles?" The reporter shook his head. Bryant said: "I know what it looks like at 4 am every day." This story greatly inspired the boy in the wheelchair.

"I feel that living is no longer a matter of one person, not only for prestige and money, but the goal should be higher and bigger. I should put my wish in the whole world. I should share the wealth that the wheelchair gave me. Everyone," said Da Ming.

Da Ming felt the urgency of his time. He did not want to "wasted his life." After being sentenced to death by a doctor in 2019, he predicted that his life might soon come to an end. He attends classes during the day and writes at night until two or three in the morning of the next day. He hopes to write a book that can be "circulated."

Because sitting on the spine can hurt, so he can only squat when writing, so he often feels that breathing is not smooth, his arms are sore.

Nothing makes him feel harder than going to school. In order to go to school, he almost lost his life because of concealing his condition. At the beginning of 2019, he found a small bag on his leg. He quickly understood that this was the two X-pins that were put into his legs when he was 4 years old. Now the needle has broken his knee and the tip of the needle has been exposed.

At this time, it is the key moment for the sprint of the senior high school entrance examination. He quietly concealed his condition, endured pain in class, and blood often flowed from his trousers to his heels, but he was unaware.

The disease once again knocked him down. In 2019, Liu Daming was pushed to the operating table for the ninth time. His long bones were cut into 5 segments and rearranged with a new X-needle. Because of the sudden onset of the postoperative syndrome, Daming shocked, leaving only a weak breath. The whole surgical danger is like a ring, and it takes only a strong heart to get back a life.

Let them regain the courage to life

Unlike many people who are suffering from illness, Liu Daming is so sunny, sincere, hearty, knowing how to be grateful and energetic.

In the high school affiliated to Northwestern Normal University, he was affectionately referred to as “our Hawking”. In the high school career since 2019, Liu Daming received the preferential treatment of teachers and students, “Stars and Moons”, teachers and students. Taking care of his growth together, everyone sees Da Ming as the "spiritual spokesperson" of the class.

Little known is that this big boy who can't stand is the basketball coach in the class. With his unique understanding of basketball, he was recognized by the students. On the night of defeating other class basketball teams, Daming shared a mood in the QQ space: "I feel happy to be able to give you a day of coaching. When I see you and basketball flying on the field, my dream seems to be realized. Most of it."

Just in the struggle against the disease, in 2019, happiness followed. In five days, Liu Daming won three national awards. The work "Let's hold hands in the future" and the novel "One Night Pale" have won national awards. In addition, he was also named "National Top Ten Literary Teenagers".
