Be more important than honesty

A courier company in Seattle, USA, is hiring a delivery person. After the selection, only Michael and another candidate are left.

The examiner took out a box with the delivery address and asked them to send it out together. Both young people know that the surface is a delivery, in fact, a contest, so they are cautious along the way, for fear of a little problem. After sending things to their destination, a 60-year-old gentleman came out to sign. He opened the box and the two young people were dumbfounded - the porcelain inside had been broken into pieces!

The old man refused to sign, and the two young people had to return to the company with broken porcelain. The examiner saw it and said angrily: "You are too careless! Who broke it?"

The young man who delivered the goods with Michael said: "We were very careful along the way, I dare to swear I didn't break it..." So the examiner looked at Michael and asked, "So, are you broken?"

After a brief silence, Michael replied: "Yes, I accidentally broke it, but I don't think it matters. The most important thing now is to send a new porcelain to the customer. As for the loss of this porcelain, I am responsible for compensation." When Michael spoke, another young man looked at him inexplicably.

The examiner nodded and took out a new porcelain to let Michael return. This time, Michael completed the task satisfactorily. After the signing, the old man took out a letter and asked him to bring it back to the examiner. Michael took the letter back to the company. After the examiner broke the letter, the two young people were shocked. It was actually a book of employment - Michael was hired!

It turns out that the old gentleman is the boss of the courier company, and the broken porcelain is just a props prepared in advance. Another young man said with dissatisfaction: "This is not fair. I am telling the truth. He lied. Why isn't he but me?"

"Well, I will convey the meaning of the boss to you." The examiner said, "Honesty is a valuable quality, but a more valuable spirit than honesty is to take responsibility. In order to protect the interests of the company, sometimes even at the expense of personal interests. For employees who regard the company's interests as more important than their personal interests, the company will pay attention to his interests. This is mutual!"
