Recommendation to the leadership of the Environmental Protection Agency: Cherish resources and protect Castle Peak

Uncles and aunts of the Environmental Protection Agency:
Greetings!
I am a nature-loving student in the sixth grade of Bindong Elementary School. I have lived in my hometown for 13 years, and all the changes in my hometown have been seen in my eyes. Today, I took the liberty to write this proposal to you because I have too many words to say.
I wonder if you have found such a serious phenomenon: in recent years, many trees in the mountains near our hometown have been cut down in large numbers. In the past, a towering tree was gone, leaving only bare hills. In the past, the beautiful green hills have now become barren mountains: bare rocks, barren loess, and residual stumps. In the past, we walked into the mountains, full of vitality, birds, and flowing water. But now, the little animals there have moved home. After each rain, a lot of soil flows along the stream to the foot of the mountain. Dashan is no longer our natural amusement park.
What caused such a serious consequence? Those who are deforestation are eager for immediate economic benefits; those who destroy the forests only cut trees for money, but do not plant trees for forestry; they are the growing demand for disposables: disposable chopsticks, disposable spoons A one-time wooden bowl... is the result of people squandering and seriously wasting resources. These have seriously affected the forest vegetation in our country!
We all know that forests are like a natural barrier. With it, sandstorms, tornadoes, droughts, floods and other monsters that are against life will not dare to infringe and provide guarantee for our lives. China's total forest resources are insufficient, and the forest coverage rate is only 18.21%, which is equivalent to 61.52% of the world's average forest coverage. The per capita forest area and per capita forest accumulation are less than one-fourth and one-sixth of the world's per capita level. The quality of the forest is not high, with an average of only 84.73 cubic meters per hectare, equivalent to 84.86% of the world average. These cruel data are reminding us that China's forest resources have been pitiful, how can we let us squander?
Look at how the people of the world treat forest resources! The United States is a resource-rich country, and their national consumption level ranks first in the world. However, textbooks for American students are re-used. A textbook must have at least 8 students and an average lifespan of 5 years. The service life of our textbooks is only half a year! There are 220 million primary and middle school students in our school. If the current textbook can be used for 5 years, how many new books will be saved, how many forests will be spared!
Aunts and uncles of the Environmental Protection Agency, beg you to save those trees! In the natural world, if there are no trees, the consequences will be unimaginable. At that time, our beautiful home garden, China, will no longer be beautiful and moving, everywhere in the yellow sand, soil erosion, no vitality, and thus endangering humanity. survive. For this reason, as a member of China, I am very anxious about this waste of resources and the disregard of future generations. To this end, I would like to make a few suggestions to you:
First, the data shows that: recycling 1 ton of waste paper can produce 800 kilograms of good paper, can cut 17 large trees, save 3 cubic meters of landfill space, and save more than half of paper energy, reduce water pollution by 35%. . Implement the classification of garbage bins, publicize the knowledge of garbage classification to the general public, and assign special personnel to be responsible for recycling waste, so that the recyclable garbage can be used twice. In this way, the waste paper produced in our daily life can be brought together and reused. Instead of working with other household wastes as in the past.
Second, educate people to save resources, use less disposable items, and a piece of paper or a chopstick can not be wasted.
Third, do more environmental protection advertisements in public places such as buses and roads to remind the public to pay attention to saving resources.
Fourth, the use of reward system, rewards those who save resources. If it is not feasible, it can also adopt a compulsory supervision method to criticize and educate those who waste resources.
Fifth, to improve the cultural quality of citizens, it is recommended to start from the dolls, and begin to learn environmentally-conscious in kindergartens and small schools.
6. Change the raw materials of disposable products, and follow the example of Japan, South Korea and other countries to adopt edible disposable products. When they are used up, they can still eat them, and eat environmentally friendly. Why not?
Dear aunts and uncles, I sincerely hope that all of us can live in a beautiful home with trees and green grass. Cherish resources, protect resources, and save resources, everyone is responsible. Let us start from now, start from me, start from scratch, cherish all the natural resources that Mother Earth has given us, and make our homes shine in the spring...
Sincerely, salute!
a primary school student who loves nature
