Classmates, we learned the text of the fourth unit, and learned the importance of protecting the environment. We also know the benefits of planting trees and beautifying the environment. We are young pioneers. We must warmly echo the call of the "Greening the Motherland" proposed by the Party Central Committee and play our part in the work of greening and beautifying the city.

The tree is the most precious property left by Mother Nature: the tree is the "cleaner" of nature. It beautifies our environment and beautifies the earth we live on, so we must plant more trees and protect the environment.

The tree is the "factory" that makes oxygen. According to the measurement, an acre of wood generally produces 48.7 kilograms of oxygen per day, which can meet the needs of 65 people a day, that is, a small forest of one acre, enough for a class of our people to breathe more than a day! Therefore, we must plant more trees and protect the environment.

The tree is the "gas mask" of human beings. One hectare of cedar trees can absorb 60 kilograms of sulfur dioxide per month. The inconspicuous plants such as privet, clove, and sycamore have a great effect on reducing the harm of carbon dioxide. Therefore, we must plant more trees and protect the environment.

The tree is still our "water reservoir". The canopy of the tree can retain 10% to 20% of the rainfall. The 50,000-mu forest is equivalent to a small reservoir. Therefore, we must plant more trees and protect the environment.
