Just now, I received a letter from Director Chen’s hand. I really feel the pressure in my heart. In the 54-year history of Tamkang University, 30,000 faculty and staff, and nearly 200,000 alumni, I feel deeply I will have a long way to go.
Since the Republic of China has served as the Executive Vice-Chancellor since the Republic of China in 75 years, he has assisted President Chen, President Zhao, President Lin and the current President Zhang to promote school affairs. After reviewing the education administration work for nearly two decades, although I was unable to participate in the hardships of the early entrepreneurship of Tamkang University, I have experienced the process of growth and development of the school from the second wave to the third wave under the leadership of the elders Qianxian Junxiu. And work hard with everyone to work for Tamkang. The ancients said: "Establishing a hard business is not easy." In the future, individuals will continue to uphold the ideals of the board of directors and past principals, follow the spirit of the ruins of the ruins of the Yangtze River and create the vision of Lin Meishan, and continue to move toward the goal of education. Therefore, sincerely I hope that every colleague can uphold the original intention and work with me to enable Danjiang to continue to operate and pursue excellence.
The current higher education organizations have changed from traditional bureaucracy, rigidity and stability to a city of knowledge that is complex, diverse and uncertain. The operation of education administration has also been loosely combined, emphasizing individual, freedom and creativity, and closely integrating. , emphasize team, discipline and performance. Members of the university organization need to develop a spirit of continuous learning and continuous innovation to achieve the shared vision and mission of the organization. Administrative processes should be decentralized and delegated to faculty, focusing on teamwork and speed, meeting and exceeding customer needs. Leaders must play a multi-faceted fox to respond to market orientation, increase organizational competitiveness and create the future.
Clark Kerr believes that in the early 21st century, the expansion of adult education, the use of information technology, the adjustment and activation, and the close cooperation between industry and education will all impact the role and function of today's universities. In the face of an increasingly competitive educational ecosystem, universities should look for their own positioning and development characteristics. On the basis of the internationalization, informationization and futureization policies, the school will continue to promote the three-oriented policy and attach importance to the three functions of education. It will continue to focus on the expansion and deep cultivation of the teaching environment, academic research, administration and services, and meet the needs of the country's society. And master the world's academic arteries, in order to enhance competitiveness, create academic prestige, and create talents with professional talents, morality and wisdom, Chinese and Western coherence, and simple and fortitude, to the fourth wave, to create four campuses.
Tamkang is a large family with a sense of humanity and a combination of organisms. In the future, we hope that we can continue to strengthen the culture of the organization, unite the consensus of the team, and understand the stakeholders such as teachers, students, staff, parents, alumni, government and the community. The needs of each link must be closely linked. The units still coordinate and communicate with bureaucrats, peers and political models.
