High school chemistry experiment report

1 Experimental purpose: to explore whether acetic acid can react with calcium carbonate
2 experimental equipment: vinegar amount, thermos with scale
3 experimental steps:
A pour the right amount of acetic acid into a water bottle
B oscillates and rests for a while, allowing it to fully react
COpen the stopper and find that the scale disappears, that is, the calcium carbonate in the scale reacts with the acetic acid in the vinegar and is dissolved.
4 experimental equation: 2CH3COOH + CaCO3 = 2Ca + H2O + CO2 ↑
5 experimental conclusion: acetic acid can react with calcium carbonate. Also available from the equation to produce calcium acetate, water and carbon dioxide
