Inspirational gameplay: "The speed of electric waves"

Radio wave speed

Time: 10 minutes

Number of people: no limit, the more the better.

Props : stopwatch.

Overview : This is a fast and simple little game. It allows the entire group to work together and bring them laughter.

Purpose :

1. Enhance group cohesion.

2. Encourage the team to challenge themselves and surpass themselves.

ready:

Steps :

1. Let all the players stand hand in hand in a circle.

2. Feel free to pick a person in the circle and let him pinch the right hand of his neighbor's companion with his left hand. Asked if the second person feels the handshake signal passed by his teammates. Here we call it "electric wave." Tell everyone to send the wave to the next teammate quickly after receiving the "wave", that is, to quickly pinch the hand of the next teammate. This continues until the "wave" returns to the starting point.

3. Tell everyone that you will use the stopwatch to record the time it takes for the "wave" to lap. Then yell: "The game starts!" and start timing.

4. Tell everyone the time it takes for the "wave" to pass a circle, encourage everyone, and then let everyone re-do a wave of transmission, I hope this transmission can be faster.

5. Let the team members repeat the radio wave transmission several times and record the time taken for each transmission.

6. After everyone is proficient, change the direction of the "radio wave" so that the radio wave is transmitted from the original clockwise direction to the counterclockwise direction.

7. After the "waves" were transmitted several times in the new direction, the players were once again reversed the direction of the "waves" while allowing the players to close their eyes or stand back to the center of the circle.

8. At the end of the game, in order to make the game more interesting, quietly tell the first person to pass "radio waves" in both directions at the same time, and do not want to see how interesting this effect will be.

Example of a discussion question:

Why the "radio wave" transmission speed will be slower after the "electric wave" transmission direction suddenly changes.

Why does the "radio wave" transfer slower when you close your eyes?

In the case where "electric waves" are transmitted simultaneously in both directions. How do the players on the opposite side of the "wave source" feel?

Safety:

Workaround: You can transmit waves in other ways, such as tapping your partner or whistling.
