I am also fortunate to have an e-commerce company called Joyo. Later, I sold it to Amazon. It should be said that my life is enough. What kind of motivation made me determined to do such a tired thing?

I woke up from a dream one night, I asked myself: I am 40 years old, I have become famous in the eyes of others, I have retired, and I am doing an investment that everyone is envious of. Do I still have the courage to pursue my childhood dreams?

I asked myself at the time, and I have no courage to try it. If you try this, the risk is high, you may be defeated, you may be ruined, and more importantly, I am already a successful person in the eyes of others. Do I need to take such a big risk to do such a difficult thing? I really hesitated for half a year. In the end, I feel that this kind of dream motivates me to gamble myself. When I was 18, I accidentally read a book in the library and changed my life. The book is called "The Fire of Shibuya", which tells the story of the heroic entrepreneurship of Shibuya in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The main chapter is about Jobs. I remember when Bill Gates was very successful in the 1990s, he said, "I am just the second of Jobs." Jobs was in the 80s. I read this book at that time, and the excitement was difficult to calm for a long time. I walked around the 400-meter runway on the playground of Wuhan University. I walked through several passes and how can I create a different life?

I think more, in the soil of China, can you run a world-class company like Jobs? I think that only in this way, you will be worthy of your life, will make you feel that life is Valuable, meaningful, and pursued. It’s useless to put a dream on the verbal. How can I fall into the actual study and work? I gave my first plan: I completed all the courses in the university in two years. I was one of the few double degree winners at Wuhan University at the time, and most of my achievements were excellent, ranking sixth in the year-end class of more than 100 people.

It is a simple matter to have a dream. The key is that after you have a dream, can you put this thing into practice, how do you practice it, and how do you set yourself one goal after another? Of course, having such a goal is not enough, because success is not a simple matter, and you need to be tenacious and persistent.

When I was 40, I didn't forget the 18-year-old dream. I went to try it. I especially like a word myself, called "people are great because of their dreams." As long as you have a dream, you will become different. Zhou Xingchi also said a famous saying, "No one has a dream, and there is no difference between it and salted fish." So you have to have a dream, and having a dream is the first step toward success. With the first step, you must prepare a solid foundation for your dreams.
