Investigation Report on Chinese Teaching in Some Schools in Jilin Province One High School in Huludao City, Liaoning Province Zhang Sujuan
In late May 2000, the first batch of students of the National Training Course for Chinese Language Teachers in the Chinese Department of Northeast Normal University went to the Second Middle School of Changchun City, the Middle School of Northeast Normal University, and the Karen Lake Experimental School of Northeast Normal University. The educational investigation of the disciplines was mainly based on observations. They listened to the 13th section of the Chinese language classes of the National Primary School, the National Middle School and the High School, and observed the two activity classes. The teachers are from 7 schools in various cities in Jilin Province. The three study points are: the second session of the Chinese Language Teaching and Learning Class in Jilin Province, the 21st Baihua Awards Competition of the Affiliated High School of Northeast Normal University, and the “Innovative Education” seminar of the Karen Lake Experimental School of Northeast Normal University. The concept of classroom teaching has changed from the traditional focus on “teaching knowledge” to “cultivating ability”. In the classroom teaching process, teachers basically focus on cultivating students' abilities. For example, in the "Guide to Admonishment" in the "Encourage Learning" of the teacher of the High School affiliated to the Northeast Normal University, the students in the classroom, under the guidance of the teachers, find out examples of the metaphor and reasoning in the text, and recall the knowledge. Similar examples, and then practice the use of metaphors, so that students in the repeated review, experience and learning, master the theory of metaphor, and then develop the logical thinking ability of students. The combination of modern educational technology and Chinese classroom teaching introduces modern multimedia teaching methods with computer as the core to promote the updating of teaching content and teaching methods. For example, some teachers have too many performances; some teachers pursue large capacity in the classroom, but the teaching focus is not prominent; the teaching objectives are not clear; the basic skills of teachers are not too hard, and a teacher’s short reading of a word has three words.
