The standard garbage collection station is permanent. It adopts the off-street collection method. It has a large floor area, high construction cost, maintenance and operation costs, and temporary storage of garbage. Environmental pollution such as noise, odor and city appearance. The impact is minimized. The rural and simple garbage collection stations are relatively simple. Some of them are temporary collection points. They are off-street collection or street collection. The required land is relatively small. The site selection is flexible and easy, but it has a certain impact on environmental sanitation and city appearance. .
3. Planning Principles and Construction Standards of Garbage Collection Stations The planning principles and construction standards of the Hong Kong Garbage Collection Station are determined in accordance with the Hong Kong Planning Standards and Guidelines: 1 Every 20,000 people in the prosperous district or set a street away from the diameter of 500 meters. The size of the standard garbage collection station depends on the garbage collector's mode of entering and leaving the garbage station and the intended garbage collection method. The internal net height is 4.5 meters. The collection station has a complete negative pressure pumping system to ensure that the odor will not leak. However, the noise of the pumping system is too large. In order to avoid nuisance to the surrounding residents, it is only opened when the garbage collection vehicle is in operation, and it is normally closed. It is equipped with a liquid scrubbing system, which uses 11% sodium hypochlorite to treat the odor and then discharge it. There are 2 sewage wells, and the leachate is filtered into the government sewer after 2 times of filtration. Due to the small size of the station, there is a transfer platform to facilitate the entry and exit of the garbage collection vehicle. Both the connected compressor and the rear-mounted compression vehicle can collect garbage.
The inspection of Guangfufang Garbage Collection Station and the side-steam shoal Taikoofang parking lot refuse station is a relatively simple garbage collection station. It is completely open and has no temporary storage of garbage. The Guangfufang Garbage Collection Station is a grid-shaped steel scaffolding wall and a FRP roof structure. The Taikoofang Car Park Garbage Station in the side of the fishery is equipped with a one-piece garbage compressor on the parking lot. There is only a rail on the ground to protect the ground and locate. Because the garbage bag is implemented well, the whole process from collection to compression is not scattered or exposed, and the garbage can be immediately put into the car for compression, without waiting, basically no odor overflow. 6. Garbage collection and transportation equipment models, suppliers and equipment advantages and disadvantages The main types of garbage collection vehicles are:

At present, the waste collection modes of the FEHD and its contractors can be broadly classified into traditional garbage collection and collection of refused vehicles. The two collection modes have their own advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of the post-loading compression car are: high elasticity; large pieces of garbage can be collected; no additional power supply device is required for the garbage collection station. The disadvantages are: the cost and the annual operating cost are relatively high; before waiting for the garbage collection vehicle to arrive at the station, the garbage needs to be temporarily stored in the trash can in the station, affecting environmental sanitation; the noise generated during operation is relatively high.
The advantages of the one-piece garbage compression box are: the noise generated during operation is relatively low; the garbage can be put into the trailer for immediate compression without waiting, thus reducing the nuisance to environmental hygiene; the cost and annual operating cost are relatively low. . The disadvantages are: low elasticity, not suitable for the collection of large pieces of garbage; large electric trailers are required; the garbage collection station needs to install additional power devices for the use of the trailer.

VII. Environmental Protection Measures The FEHD has adopted various effective measures to prevent pollution from its refuse collection points.
In terms of noise control: Garbage collection vehicles are required to be regularly repaired and maintained; when collecting garbage, all windows of the garbage collection station are closed and the gate roller shutters are lowered to the ground to reduce noise leakage; try to use electric power in a suitable garbage collection station. The trailer collects garbage to reduce noise.
In order to prevent the odour of the refuse collection station, the FEHD and contractor contractors are required to strictly implement the deodorization system and the operating rules of the vehicle exhaust system. The specific measures are: setting the exhaust system. During operation, the worker puts the exhaust system hose on the exhaust outlet of the vehicle, and extracts the exhaust gas from the garbage collection station; sets the deodorizing equipment such as the liquid scrubbing system to prevent the odor from being discharged outside the garbage collection station. .
For the treatment of leachate, the FEHD requires the refuse collection vehicle to discharge all leachate completely into the drainage open channel before the vehicle is driven. If the refuse station does not have a drainage open channel, the garbage collection vehicle should drive to the next refuse station with a drainage open channel. The leachate is completely discharged to avoid accumulation of too much leachate in the vehicle body, resulting in overflowing contaminated road surface during transportation. Before leaving the refuse collection station, it must be checked and ensured that the leachate discharge valve is closed. All leachate in the station is collected by the drainage open channel and then converged to the underground sedimentation tank. The waste residue is filtered out and discharged to the government sewer for final treatment. There are no sewers near some rural garbage collection stations, and the sewage from the collection stations, including leachate, will be diverted to the attached sewage pool for temporary storage and waiting for cleaning.
8. Management and operation mode of garbage collection station The garbage collection station collects residential garbage once or more every day. The opening time of the garbage collection station is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and in busy areas, it is extended to 11 in the evening. 30 minutes. Garbage collection vehicles will collect rubbish from the refuse collection points of the FEHD and the public housing estates and private housing estates. Garbage collection vehicles work in two shifts a day, from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm, and about two-thirds of the garbage is collected in day shifts. During the opening hours, all refuse collection points contain domestic waste. For other types of waste, they should be transported to landfills managed by the Environmental Protection Department, refuse collection points or public fill facilities managed by the Civil Engineering Department.
The cleaning and operating personnel in the garbage collection station are generally outsourced contractor workers. The FEHD is staffed to supervise the staff: one staff member will be assigned to assist the cleaning and management work for the large garbage collection station, and one staff member for the small garbage collection station. Responsible for the supervision of 2 to 3. And establish strict management regulations: all garbage and waste in the station must be cleaned every day, and must not be piled up in the station; after each garbage collection work is completed, the place inside the station must be properly cleaned; the plastic garbage bin must be cleaned once a day; Retained for private use; refuse collection points should not accept any industry waste of more than 0.1 cubic meters of industrial waste or other dangerous goods; all refuse collection stations need to be repaired frequently and take effective pest control measures.
The scope of garbage collection services currently being contracted by Hong Kong is 9 districts. According to the outsourcing contract, the Hong Kong government is responsible for the construction and operation of the garbage collection station. The garbage collection service contractor prepares the garbage collection and transportation equipment. The FEHD is mainly responsible for supervision. If the garbage collection vehicle is dripping on the road, it will be fined. If it is not rectified in time, the fine will be deducted, and the contractor will be deprived of the qualification. At present, Hong Kong refuse collection and payment service providers are Weilong Waste Treatment Co., Ltd., Wellcome Waste Treatment Co., Ltd. and Baguio Waste Treatment Co., Ltd. Weilong Company is responsible for the garbage collection and transportation in 5 districts such as Dapu. It has 60 compression vehicles, 70 conjoined garbage compressors, 10 hook and arm vehicles, 10 cranes and 5 suction trucks. Take Dapu District as an example. The daily waste is about 280-300 tons, and the winning bid is about 400,000 Hong Kong dollars/month. The outsourcing of garbage collection services in Hong Kong will gradually increase until it is fully undertaken by private companies.
9. The construction and management of the garbage collection and handling facilities in Hong Kong is worthy of the experience of the investment. In addition, the use of conjoined compression equipment reduces the requirements for civil construction facilities, so that the post-loading compressed garbage truck can also be used in the station.
