Summary of the “Fire Safety Month” activity

In order to improve the fire prevention awareness and fire fighting skills of the faculty and staff, the school recently launched a series of fire safety monthly activities to strengthen the campus fire safety through the faculty firefighting competition, college students safety fire knowledge contest, campus safety fire inspection and other forms.

On November 10th, the school launched a faculty firefighting skill competition. 16 teams from 18 secondary labor unions of the school participated in the competition. The competition required four teams to work together to complete the fire hose, fire hydrant, running fire gun head, and water outlet. The team with the least amount of competition won the competition. In the end, the party and mass organizations won the first place in the competition.

From November 13th to 17th, the school's security department, logistics department, student office, Gubei campus office, student community office, secondary colleges and other related departments jointly carried out a centralized inspection of campus fire safety. The inspection carried out inspections on more than 70 key parts of the three key areas of Songjiang Campus, Gubei Campus and Student Apartment District. More than 10 safety items were used for illegal electricity, weak electricity storage, circuit aging, fire protection and renovation. Hidden dangers have issued rectification notices, and more than 40 copies of "Fire Tips" have been issued to students.

In the 2019 College Student Safety Firefighting Knowledge Competition held in early November, eight secondary colleges produced safety and fire prevention publicity exhibitions, which were displayed and publicized in administrative buildings, teaching buildings, student apartments and other parts. Each college sent 10 students to participate in the “College Student Safety Knowledge Competition”. After comprehensive evaluation, the School of Economics and Business, the School of Business Administration and the School of Law were awarded the top three in the competition.
