The daughter only learned to walk for a few years, the road of a lifetime is long, how can there be no legs? Qian Liming can not accept. The next day, Xiao Hongyan was transferred to the Kunming General Hospital of the Chengdu Military Region, and the same conclusion was reached. The cruel treatment plan and the high cost of surgery made Qian Liming almost lost the confidence to save her daughter. But can't watch her die! On the third day, Xiao Hongyan was sent to Luliang County Chinese Medicine Hospital. The doctor found that Xiao Hongyan's blood was tied for two days and he was severely necrotic. In desperation, Xiao Hongyan's limbs below the pelvis were all cut off. After 50 days of rescue treatment, life was saved, but she has since become a "half man."

Into the home of Xiao Hongyan

She said that the family's two acres of rice fields, an acre of mulberry fields, catch up with good years, the family's annual income is also two thousand dollars. In the past, her father could also go out to work and subsidize the family. After Hong Yan’s accident, she could not leave the person and added two younger brothers. Her father did not leave home one day, and the days were much harder than in the past.

When she mentioned her daughter, the illiterate farmer woman reluctantly sighed: "The same girl who is as big as Xiaoyan in the same village has helped the grown-up to live..."

Overloading plus speeding creates a big disaster

The traffic accident caused one death and one disability, and the two families suffered enormous damage. But there is also a "victim", the driver of the accident, Zhu Shuangquan and his family.

In the Luliang County Traffic Police Brigade, the reporter saw Zhu Shuangquan’s statement to the traffic police on the day of the accident: My son and I were transporting fertilizer to Xinzhuang Village, Zhaojiao Town, the county... After on-site investigation and investigation, the traffic police found that the accident site was a national three-level road, the road surface was flat and the line of sight was good; the steering system and brake system of the big truck were unqualified, the nuclear load was 5 tons, and the actual load was 12 tons. There were no decelerations on the road; two children were led by adults without a lead and crossed the road as the vehicle approached. Therefore, according to the law, the driver responsible for Zhu Shuangquan’s main responsibility for the accident and the responsibility of the two young girls for secondary traffic accidents were determined. Zhu Shuangquan was suspected of traffic accidents and was tried by the Luliang County People's Court. He was sentenced to one year and six months in prison and suspended for two years. The court conducted mediation on the incidental civil compensation. Zhu Shuangquan compensated the girl who died in the accident with a high salary of 18,000 yuan and compensated Qian Hongyan who had reached the second-level disability of 150,000 yuan.

"I only hope that all drivers can take me as a warning!"

From the home of Xiao Hongyan, the reporter wanted to visit Zhu Shuangquan, the driver of the accident, but he was not at home. According to the police investigators of the year, after the accident, Zhu Shuangquan actively compensated the victims for economic losses, sold all the goods that could be sold at home, and borrowed a lot of debts. So far, a family of four has rented two public houses with less than 20 square meters. In the year of the accident, he was 44 years old. He was already an "old driver" with 25 years of driving experience. He did not expect that a violation of the rules and an instant negligence caused an uncontrollable disaster. Conscience blame and heavy economic pressure made him feel uncomfortable.

Basketball became Xiao Hongyan's "legs"

Losing his legs, Xiao Hongyan lost his normal lifestyle.

Qian Liming said that the most sad thing was the first two years of Hong Yan’s discharge. She didn't even know what happened to her. She asked her mother to buy her skirt and buy boots. We can't tell her directly that you can't wear it, you can only cry with your daughter. She rarely ill for a month, and a fever is more than 39 degrees. Every time she goes to the hospital, she is three or four hundred, three or four hundred. She used to be lively and active, and became ignorant and moody after the accident. When someone came to see her, she covered her face with her hand and looked at the guests from her fingers. When I was not eating, I fell off my chopsticks and fell to the bowl. My mother and I could only endure...

At first, the family tied a piece of leather under her body. She couldn't move all day, and the digestion was not good. She often had constipation and anal fissure. One day, when the grandfather saw the basketball and suddenly thought about it, he cut the basketball with a pair of scissors, then "plugged" Xiao Hongyan's body and gave her a wooden handle. Xiao Hongyan used a wooden handle to squat on the ground, supporting the body to move back and forth. Compared with leather, basketball does not need to be tied, and it will not fall into the soil, convenient and sanitary. She has since started living with basketball.

A lively and active girl, a girl who should have wore a flower skirt and played with her little friends, could only sit in basketball all day long. In the summer of 2003, 7-year-old Xiao Hongyan entered the village to study at the National Primary School with the help of the traffic police department. Every day, Dad carries her to school. During class, she took off her basketball and placed it under the desk with wooden handles. After class, other students went out to play, and she usually quietly "squats" on the chair. On the spacious yard outside the school gate, under the tall banyan tree, the students were running and playing happily. She wanted her father to put her down and run and play with her classmates, but she could only climb quietly. The father sometimes had no time to pick her up, and she went home with her basketball. More than 300 meters away from home, it takes more than half an hour for her to walk. Because of the perennial set on the basketball, Xiao Hongyan's ass is often grinded with blood. For more than four years, Xiao Hongyan has used eight basketballs.

Her disability is a wound that her parents can't heal, especially thinking about her future. Seeing that I am nine years old, I am already in the second grade of the country, and my body is growing. How can basketball carry her future life?

Love surrounds her side

Xiao Hongyan is unfortunate and lucky.

After the accident was dealt with, the Luliang County traffic police department did not forget Xiao Hongyan and often went to visit her at home. In September 2002, the video of the “Basketball Girl” submitted by the Qujing City Traffic Police Detachment was the most exciting shot of the exhibition. Many people saw this girl who walked with basketball and cried. Her condition has also become the leader of the Yunnan Provincial Traffic Police Corps.

Subsequently, Zhu Sumei, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Traffic Police Corps, came to Xiao Hongyan’s home with a personal letter from the head of the team, Ma Jiyan, to Xiao Hongyan’s parents, a 8,000-dollar donation from the corps, and a color TV set. She brought Xiao Hongyan clothes, keyboards, school supplies and many picture books, and she also brought in two new basketballs.

Xiao Hongyan opened a book "Looking at the picture". Zhu Sumei pointed to one of the figures and asked her: "Who is this." Xiao Hongyan said; "Men." Zhu Sumei said: "This is 'Dad'. You must study, read books to be literate." When Xiao Hongyan was six years old, her parents sent her to school. The school saw her was too special and did not receive it. Zhu Sumei came here this time in accordance with the request of Zhu Jianyi, deputy director of the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department, and Ma Jiyan, the head of the Traffic Police Corps, to coordinate the local government and the education authorities to reduce the tuition and fees, and let Xiao Hongyan enter the village's small school.

After Xiao Hongyan went to school, the Yunnan traffic police from the brigade, the detachment to the leadership of the corps often visited her home and school to see her situation, and sent her money and school supplies. In October 2003, Ma Jiyan, the captain of the Yunnan Traffic Police Corps, invited the famous dancer and Yang Liping, the spokesperson of the traffic safety image of Yunnan Province, to come to Xiao Hongyan’s school and home. They brought Xiaohongyan a bag, stationery, walkman, repeater and so on. In order to let all the students of the school care and care for Xiaohongyan, they also sent a schoolbag to each of the more than 50 students of Xiaohongyan’s class, and sent a pencil case to each of the school’s more than 1,000 students.

In an interview with reporters, Ma Jiyan said: Every time we see Xiao Hongyan, we all have a sense of guilt. Emotionally, we can't bear to bother her, can't bear to reveal her bloody scars, and I have repeatedly discouraged some media from chasing her less responsible. At the same time, Xiao Hongyan used her incomplete limbs to visually accuse the traffic accidents of damaging human health and life. With her tenacious existence, she expressed her desire for peace and happiness. Her living conditions are also constantly alert. Our public security traffic police shoulders a major responsibility. In this sense, she is another traffic safety promoter after Yunnan Yang Liping. We should do something for her. This is our obligation and it can be regarded as a kind of compensation for her.

Ma Jiyan made it clear that the Yunnan traffic police department will always care and help Xiao Hongyan.

Xiao Hongyan went to Beijing for treatment

Yang Lan immediately implemented the instructions of Bai Jingfu. Through the Beijing Municipal Traffic Management Bureau, we contacted the China Rehabilitation Research Center with the highest level of treatment and rehabilitation for disabled people in China.

At 9 o'clock on the evening of January 14, Qian Hongyan, accompanied by her father and the police of the Yunnan Provincial Traffic Police Corps, quietly flew to Beijing. The leaders of the Public Security Bureau Traffic Management Bureau and the China Rehabilitation Research Center held flowers at the airport. she was. She was in a wheelchair for the first time. But in her luggage, there is also a basketball and a wooden handle at home.

After admission, the China Rehabilitation Research Center organized more than 20 experts and scholars to consult Xiao Hongyan to develop and continuously improve the treatment plan. The center set up a treatment team consisting of orthopedic surgeons, prosthetic technicians, physiotherapists, stylistic therapists, psychotherapists, etc., and began a comprehensive rehabilitation treatment for Xiao Hongyan.

Cao Xuejun, the person in charge of the treatment team, said that the rehabilitation treatment for Xiao Hongyan includes both physical and psychological aspects. The body is standing and walking with the aid of artificial limbs and wheelchairs to achieve partial self-care ability, allowing her to go to school like ordinary people. Participate in social activities; psychologically, while helping her to restore the complete image of appearance, let her overcome self-esteem and establish the confidence to face life bravely.

In order not to affect Xiao Hongyan's academic work, the center contacted the nearby Majiabao Elementary School. Wang Yi, the principal of the school, told the teachers about Xiao Hongyan’s situation. Twenty teachers proposed to provide counseling for Xiao Hongyan. During the medical treatment, every day at 12:30, the teachers took turns to Xiao Hongyan's ward. Under the care of Xiao Hongyan's life, Zhao Kecong, the head nurse of orthopedics, also teaches Xiao Hongyan to learn English every day. Now Xiao Hongyan has already said more than twenty English words.

In mid-May, she will go home in a dress

Cao Xuejun, the person in charge of the treatment team, said that Xiao Hongyan is very sensible and very hard, and the rehabilitation treatment went very smoothly. The wheelchair is used up and down. The 100 meters on the running platform is raised from 2 minutes and 40 seconds when it first arrives to 1 minute and 18 seconds at the beginning of April. At the beginning of April, when the reporter came to the orthopedic ward of the China Rehabilitation Research Center again, Xiao Hongyan had just finished the afternoon training project and had sweat on her face. She skillfully "jumped" from the wheelchair to the bed of an aunt in the same ward, allowing her to teach her embroidery. Xiao Hongyan does not speak, just laughs, smiles like a magnolia blooms outside the window.

In May 2007, the 7th National Paralympic Games was held in Kunming. Qian Hongyan appeared on the scene every day. She saw the scene of hard-working athletes who were working hard on the same field as Qian Qianyan. . After the end of the Paralympic Games, Qian Hongyan and her parents took the initiative to find the famous national coach Zhang Hongjun who trained many disabled swimming world champions. At this time, the first disabled swimming club and the “Southern Cloud” youth swimming club initiated and established by Mr. Zhang were just established. Qian Hongyan became the first team member of the club. She lives in a club and receives professional swimming training for the disabled every day. Xiao Hongyan’s dream is to participate in the 2019 Paralympic Games and become an Olympic champion.
