Wisdom to boil a pot of water

A young man was troubled to find a wise man. After graduating from college, he had set a lot of goals for himself, but after a few years, he still had nothing to do.

When he found the wise man, the wise man was studying in the riverside hut. The wise man smiled and listened to the youth's confession and said to him: "Come, you can help me to boil water!"

The young man saw a huge kettle in the corner, next to a small fire stove, but no firewood was found, so he went out to look for it.

He picked up some dead branches outside, filled a pot of water, placed it on the stove, and put some wood in the stove to burn it, but because the pot was too big, the bundle of wood burned out, and the water did not open. So he ran out to continue looking for firewood, and when he came back, the pot of water was almost cold. This time he learned to be smart, not eager to ignite, but went out to find some firewood again. Because the firewood was well prepared, the water would boil soon.

The wise man suddenly asked him: "If there is not enough firewood, how should you boil the water?"

The young man thought for a moment and shook his head.

The wise man said, "If that's the case, pour some water out of the kettle!"

The young man nodded thoughtfully.

The wise man went on to say, "You started to smug and set too many goals, just like this big kettle has too much water, and you don't have enough firewood, so you can't boil the water, you want to boil the water. You either pour out some water or go to prepare the firewood!"

The youth suddenly realized. After returning, he removed a lot of the targets listed in the plan, leaving only the most recent ones, while using his spare time to learn various professional knowledge. After a few years, his goals have basically been achieved.

Only by deleting the complexity, starting from the recent goal, will it be successful step by step. Everything is in the air and will only be abandoned halfway. In addition, we only have to constantly pick up the "wood", in order to make life continue to warm up, and finally let life boil.
