In 1993, Chen Xiangdong returned to Xin'an County. As a non-English major graduate, he applied for the best local middle school, Xin'an Yigao, as an English teacher. On the day of studying for graduate students at Renmin University of China, Chen Xiangdong saw that his classmates were busy preparing to go abroad, and he also started a dream of going abroad. Under the encouragement of classmates, in order to ease the economic pressure, Chen Xiangdong became a part-time teacher of New Oriental, and completed the master's and doctoral studies at Renmin University of China.
