30 kilometers per day

Advancing 30 kilometers a day <br />Wen/Wang Xing Before December 1911, no earth man had ever reached the South Pole, so this is all the greatest explorers of a hundred years ago, all the most adventurous and have this What the dreamer wants to do most.
In the end, there were two teams competing, one from the Amundsen team in Norway and the other from the Scott team in the UK, who all wanted to take the lead in completing this feat – reaching the South Pole. The Amundsen team has 5 people and the Scott team has 17 people. Both teams were almost ready for the final sprint in October 1911 on the outskirts of the Antarctic Circle. As a result, after more than two months, the Amundsen team first arrived at the South Pole and inserted the Norwegian flag on December 15, 1911. The Scott team had a similar departure time and the number was excellent. But they have been late for more than a month.
After the Amundsen team first arrived at the South Pole, it successfully returned to the original base. The Scott team was late because of the late arrival. The weather on the way back was very bad. Some people were left behind, and no one was still alive.
Afterwards, some people summed up the strategy and preparation of the two teams. You can see the very important difference: Although the Amundsen team is small, the materials are very well prepared. They have 3 tons of materials. The Scott team has many people. But there are few things to prepare, they only have 1 ton of supplies.

Is 1 ton of material enough? If you don't make any mistakes in the process, just enough. When your plan is set too tight, it is actually very dangerous.
The materials prepared by the Amundsen team have a large margin. They fully estimated the difficulties of the environment, made adequate preparations, and left room for mistakes.
The success of the Amundsen team can be summed up in one sentence: Regardless of the weather, stick to the daily advance of about 30 kilometers. In an extreme environment, you have to do your best, but, more importantly, you have to be sustainable.
On the contrary, from the log of the Scott team, they are a more casual team. When the weather is very good, they go very fierce. They may go for forty or fifty kilometers or even 60 kilometers a day, but when the weather is bad, they will Sleep in a tent, eat something, curse bad luck, curse bad weather, wait for the sky to turn fine and move forward.
Regardless of the environment, whether it is easy or not, insist on advancing 30 kilometers a day, which is the essential difference between the two teams.
So why do I talk about this? Because I think it has many similarities with the environment we are in today and the things we have to do.
We must be well prepared, no matter whether the external environment is good or bad, regardless of the so-called good luck, do not blame the people, stick to their plans, and advance a little bit every day. As long as we can do this, we will look back next year and you will find that we have made a big step forward.
