Bill Gates's secret to success

Bill Gates once summed up success with a wonderful story. In fact, life is the same. Success comes from choosing what you like to do, doing what you want to do, and doing what you can.

1. Choose what you like to do

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and the world's richest man, once concluded that all his achievements today are inextricably linked to his childhood interests. Today's success is nothing but a choice of things he likes to do.

As everyone knows, when Bill Gates attended Lakeside Middle School, he used a school computer to write programs. The Lakeside Programmer Group was also formed to look for opportunities to make business happen.

These laid the foundation for his later founding of Microsoft.

2. Do what you should do

Bill Gates admits that in fact life is the same, success stems from doing the things that are done, and the reason for the failure is largely due to doing things that you should not do.

Less than a year after Bill Gates arrived at Lakeside Middle School, he and Paul Allen jointly established a traffic data analysis company, hoping to make money by providing traffic data analysis services, and the result was that the government failed to launch the same free service.

Later, I went to the best software service and started working with IBM to develop the 8088 chip for personal computer equipment. With the joint efforts of both parties, they succeeded. With the introduction of DOS systems, this type of chip is favored.

This laid a solid foundation for the rapid accumulation of Bill Gates' huge wealth.

3. Do things that maximize benefits

Maximizing the benefits of selection is the goal that every operator pursues. Entrepreneurs, no one does not want to make more profits. However, only by properly grasping yourself and being prepared can you firmly grasp it when the time comes.

4. Look at it and start again.

Bill Gates said: My success is actually very simple. I have to look at it again and not let go of every opportunity around me. This sentence is very important for those who have just started their business.

The story of Yang Zhiyuan’s successful partnership with partner David has fully demonstrated that they are good at finding opportunities to seize opportunities, and they have stepped into the ranks of billionaires in just two years.

Seeing it and starting again is almost the only way for every successful person. Whoever has a sharp eye, who can look at the opportunities around him and make decisive choices, will be able to raise the sail to success.

5. Do what you can

Successful people have succeeded because they have chosen what they can. The losers fail because they don't work hard. If you want to do better, do what you can.

In the initial stage of Bill Gates, the successful cooperation with the information science company's project made him feel confident. Then, with Paul Allen, he made a new way to make money.

At that time, the municipality used the same device to measure traffic flow, which was inefficient and costly. Based on this reality, Gates and Allen set up a company called Traffic Data.

The specific method of operation is to use a computer to analyze the tapes and then sell the results to the municipal department. They are faster and cheaper than their opponents.

Soon, Gates thought of a new money-making plan. Thus, Gates and Evans co-founded a "logic simulation company." The logic simulation company's business scope includes designing curriculum schedules, conducting traffic flow analysis, and publishing cooking books.

In May 1972, on the eve of their third year, Lakeside Middle School authorized them to design a curriculum for more than 400 students. The school hopes that the computer software will be available from the fall 72-73 school year.

Soon after the success of the curriculum software design, Bill Gates took a business – designing a school management software for the University of Washington Experimental School and earning $500 from the design.
