學校是傳播文化的特定場所,是學生獲得知識和技能,培養情感和形成價值觀,塑造品德和養成良好行為的重要場所。全面提高學生的素質是學校育人的根本目標,環境素質是現代社會對每個公民基本素質的基本要求。“綠色學校”的本質特徵,就是在學校的建設與發展中體現可持續發展的教育理念。“綠色學校”不僅能使教師和學生的環境素質得到提升,還可以通過學生帶動家長,通過家長帶動社區,又通過社區帶動社會公民更廣泛地參與環境保護行動。
