學院學生工作的核心、學生工作的重中之重就是“大力倡導和加強學風建設”！學風建設是一項具有綜合性、長期性、深刻性的工作，是一項持之以恆的、艱巨的系統性工程，學院應該把有關學生工作的全部內容都集中到學風建設這個大思路上來。我們應該做到的工作很多，但不可能面面俱到，應該抓住主要環節有所取捨，應該有所為有所不為，也就是說要拿得起放得下！圍繞工作思路，學風建設應該分為以下六個部分的內容：學生幹部隊伍的建設；腳踏實地，切實做好基礎工作；關於學習創新；大力開展各項校園文化活動；公開辦事制度；就業工作。
關鍵在落實！學院學風建設工作領導組機構如下：領導組組長：雷承鋒、劉兵；常務副組長：張亞東；副組長：段榮娟、張俊義；成員：侯濤、牛衛晶、蘇萍、李濤、鄭芳、梅華、院團委學生會部長以上幹部。
以下六部分的工作內容，在領導組的統一領導下，科學、藝術地將工作量適當分配，目的是要廣大學生都積極行動起來，形成積極向上的氛圍，創建一個可持續發展的小氣候。
一、幹部決定一切，要在具體的實際工作中逐步培養和造就一支朝氣蓬勃、高效務實、能打硬戰的學生幹部隊伍，為學風建設提供強有力的組織保障。
基本工作思路定了，幹部是關鍵，幹部是決定一切的因素，我們應該充分認識到這一點。學生幹部隊伍是學院管理和發展中的一支重要力量，是溝通廣大同學和學院領導、老師之間的一座橋樑，肩負著“自我教育、自我管理、自我服務”的重任。在中國的大學校園裡，學生幹部隊伍作為重要角色的群體，歷史賦予了他們重大的責任，他們的工作已經成為中國高等教育不可缺少的重要組成部分。在一定意義上可以說，學生幹部是學院學生工作的眼睛、鼻子、耳朵、嘴巴和雙手，而學生幹部能否發揮作用以及發揮作用的程度又與其自身素質的高低、組織建設的好壞密切相關。一支組織健全、堅強有力、素質較高的學生幹部隊伍是學院做好學生工作的前提，直接關係到學風建設的成敗。在新世紀的今天，面對工作中出現的新情況、新問題，學生的新特點和學生幹部隊伍的現狀，學院必須採取切實有效的措施，專門制定《外國語學院關於團學幹部選拔條例》，本著公平、公正、公開，民主推薦，擇優錄用的原則，加強學生幹部隊伍的組織建設。高標準、嚴要求，儘快培育一支高素質，召之即來，來則能戰，戰則能勝的學生幹部隊伍，為學院的學風建設提供強有力的組織保障，要重點做好以下三件事：
1.關於學生幹部隊伍的組織建設
院黨委要十分重視學生幹部隊伍的組織建設，要及時給予高度重視和支持。根據《外國語學院關於團學幹部選拔條例》，通過自願報名、競爭上崗、組織考察、民主推薦、擇優錄用等嚴格程式，在實踐中要逐步建立一支組織健全、精幹高效的學生幹部隊伍。學院各級各類團學組織機構的建立和完善，要把握好以下三個環節。
第一個環節是班級團學組織機構的建立：抓學風關鍵要抓好班風，抓班風建設是搞好學風建設十分重要的內容，而班風好壞關鍵要有個好的工作班子。今後將各班委會、團支部的幹部編制和職數進行統一和規範：班委會由班長、學習委員、體育委員、生活委員、文藝委員5人組成；團支部由團支書、組織委員、宣傳委員3人組成。如果班長或團支書兼任院團委副書記、學生會副主席以上職務，班級可以根據工作需要設立副班長或副書記。班長就是這個班的法人代表，是第一責任人，團支書就是這個班的政治委員，這個觀點很明確，這個班的好壞關鍵看他們。要創一流的班風，促進全班同學共同進步，要把班級組織機構建成一個基礎牢固的戰鬥堡壘。
