They all want to take the lead in completing this unfinished business and reach the South Pole.

This is two interesting comparisons, one is the Amundsen team, a total of five people, one is the Scott team, seventeen. Based on your feelings, everyone guess who won in the end? Who is more likely to win? Not necessarily a lot of wins, not necessarily a small win.

Their departure time is almost the same. This is because the world has always been very competitive. When there is a big chance, it is impossible for you to see it. Basically, there are a bunch of people who see it at the same time. The occasional competition is very similar. So the two teams were almost ready in the outer periphery of the Antarctic Circle in October 19XX, ready for the final sprint.

The result was this. After more than two months, the Amundsen team first arrived at the South Pole and inserted the Norwegian flag on December 15, 19XX. The Scott team, although the departure time is almost the same, and the number is still more, but they are a lot late, they are more than a month late, what does this mean?

This is the difference between success and failure. The Amundsen team, as the first team in the history of mankind to reach the South Pole, will ever be in the annals of history. They will receive all the honors, and the Scott team has experienced the same difficulties and obstacles, but it is late. For more than a month, no one remembers the second place, everyone only knows the first place.

But this story is not so simple, you don't just have to go to the South Pole, you have to go back alive. After the Amundsen team first arrived at the South Pole, they returned to the original base smoothly.

The Scott team was late and they did not receive honor. What's worse, because they are late, the weather on the way back is very bad. They are constantly falling behind on the way back, and finally they don't have any life. This team of seventeen people, not only did not complete the goal of first reaching the Antarctic point, but the whole army was annihilated, this is the difference between life and death.

Therefore, the adventures carried out by these predecessors are more difficult, more exciting and more bet than us. So what makes such a big difference, not only the difference between success and failure, but also the difference between life and death? Studying this matter may be helpful and inspiring to what we are doing.

First of all, going to the Antarctic expedition not only needs people, but also needs materials. Afterwards, some people sum up and analyze the strategy of the two teams and the preparation of the two teams, you can see very important differences. Although the Amundsen team is small, the materials are very well prepared. They are three tons of materials. The Scott team has a lot of people, but there are few things to prepare, they only have one ton of supplies.

Is one ton of material enough? If you don’t make any mistakes in the process, don’t make any mistakes at all, just enough. This is a terrible thing, theoretically feasible, but in reality, when you encounter a lot of pressure and encounter a lot of unknown difficulties, you will inevitably move out and make a lot of mistakes. So, when your plan is set too tight, it is very, very dangerous. The Amundsen team did a very good job. They only had five people to go, but they prepared three tons of supplies, which had a huge surplus. They fully predict the difficulties of the environment, make adequate preparations, and leave room for mistakes. This is a very, very big difference, how much resources are enough, is there room?

In fact, the environment they encountered was similar, and the last two teams had very different results. This is worth studying. The success of the Amundsen team can be summed up in one sentence: Regardless of the weather, stick to the daily advance of about 30 kilometers. In an extreme environment, you have to do the best, but, more importantly, you have to be sustainable.

On the contrary, the Scott team, from their log, is a more casual team. The weather is very good and it is very fierce, maybe forty or fifty kilometers or even sixty kilometers. But when the weather is bad, they sleep in the tent, eat something, curse the bad weather, curse bad luck, hope to turn fine as soon as possible, and move forward as soon as possible.

After the fact, these two approaches are likely to be their biggest biggest difference. Regardless of the environment, whether it is easy or not, insist on advancing 30 kilometers every day. Whether it is to reach the South Pole or return from the South Pole. This is a very important difference.

So why do I talk about this? Because I think it has many similarities with the environment we are in today and what we are doing.

In the first half of XX, group purchases were very prosperous. Everyone invested in madness and spent money at all costs. Later, in the second half of the year, as we expected, winter is coming, it may not only be the winter of group purchase, not only the winter of e-commerce, but also the winter of the entire Internet and the entire investment.

Many people think that the market environment is not good. All of this is actually like the weather change when they go to the Antarctic. Sometimes it is sunny, sometimes it is rainy and rainy, and it is within the control range on a large scale. .

We only have enough cash reserves and a group of like-minded people who are very passionate. We must be like the successful Amundsen team, regardless of the weather, insist on advancing 30 kilometers every day, and make a little progress every day. As long as we can do this, I believe that by the end of XX, and by the time we look back next year, we will find that we have moved forward to a very, very big step, even if we seem to move forward very little every day.
