High school inspirational

There is only one failure, and that is to give up efforts.

In 1927, the embankment of the Mississippi River in Arkansas was washed away by water. The home of a 9-year-old black boy was washed away. At the moment the flood was about to swallow him, the mother forced him to the embankment.

In 1932, the boy graduated in the eighth grade, because the middle school in Arkansas did not recruit black people, he could only go to Chicago to go to middle school, and the family did not have so much money. At that time, the mother made an amazing decision - let the boy re-read for a year. She then washed, ironed and cooked for a full 50 workers, saving money for school.

In the summer of 1933, the family made up the hard-earned money, and the mother took the boy on the train and ran to the strange Chicago. In Chicago, the mother earned a living by being a servant. The boy graduated with high grades and then successfully finished reading. In 1942, he started to create a magazine, but the last obstacle was the lack of $500 in postage, which could not be sent to subscribers. A credit company is willing to borrow, but there is a condition that a property must be mortgaged. My mother had bought a lot of new furniture in installments, which was the most beloved thing in her life. But she finally agreed to mortgage the furniture. In 1943, the magazine was huge. The boy can finally do his own thing for years: to include his mother in his salary roster and tell her that she is a retired worker and that she has no work. That day, the mother cried and the boy cried.

Later, in an abnormal day, the boy’s everything seemed to fall into the bottom. In the face of enormous difficulties and obstacles, the boy was unable to return to heaven. He told his mother melancholy: "Mom, it seems that I really have to be defeated this time."

"Son," she said. "Have you tried it?"

"Try it."

"Very?"

"Yes."

“Very good.” The mother ended the conversation decisively. “Whenever you try, you won’t.”

Sure enough, the boy survived the storm and climbed to a new peak. The boy is the founder of the world-renowned American Black Digest magazine, Johansson Publishing Company, and John H. Johnson, who has three radio stations.

The experience of Johansen shows us that all fighting is hope. There is only one, that is.
