College student internship diary

Saturday, June 3

Since the summer social practice activities, several of us have been preparing for the preparatory work in addition to reviewing the exams.

After the exam was finished yesterday, we were preparing intensively. This morning, Li Xiangyang checked the relevant information in front of the computer. Liu Can kept the internship funds and worked hard to make the last contact with the chief engineer of the Shijin Irrigation District Administration Guo Zongxin. The chief engineer was really not in contact, the phone was shut down, and it was hard to get in touch. Guo Zong still I am very enthusiastic and apologetic, because the leaders of the Ministry of Water Resources have been inspecting and guiding work.

In the afternoon, the three people who are going to set off tonight will go to Zhiliang, Liu Can and Li Xiangyang to stamp our questionnaire. The purpose is still to save money. I am afraid that the offset price of Shijiazhuang is expensive, and I am afraid that I will be in Shijiazhuang. Delay time to offset printing. We also bought the train ticket from Jane, 2232 Hankou to Taiyuan without air conditioning, half price is only 30.5 yuan. After handling all matters, the three people got on the train at 16:36 and headed to Shijiazhuang one day in advance.

Sunday, June 4th

One night train can be said to be tortured overnight. The car is hot like a steamer. It seems to be sending steamed bread from Hankou to Shijiazhuang. The passengers squeezed in and out, but fortunately we still have seats. All the way to the train, we also saw the social situation, Hubei people are really not afraid of hardship, they usually go out to work outside the husband and wife, and the children are temporarily brought by uncles or grandparents, this summer, the children have to take the train to the distance and Parents reunited. A middle-aged man in the car took 16 children to Shijiazhuang and was questioned by the police for a long time.

When we arrived in Shijiazhuang in the morning, we rushed to the bathroom and washed our face. The body was full of coal. It was black like Kaifeng Fubao. The first time I felt that the tap water in the north was so cool, Li Xiangyang sighed: "He also went to a provincial capital. I feel more excited than going abroad." Because he is from Hebei, he will go to Shijiazhuang from the future.

Shijiazhuang, which has been developed for more than 50 years, is much better than we expected. We took a few photos in front of the train station. Because today is Sunday, the staff of the bureau does not go to work, we will go to the city separately, inquire about the specific location of each park to pave the way for the next step, and live in classmates at night.

Monday, June 5th

At five o'clock this morning, three of us gathered at the train station. The second batch of experimental team members Huang Defa and Liu Xin came to Shijiazhuang with our rubberized questionnaire and made a short stay at the train station. We came to the Shijin Irrigation District Administration, which is located in the new hutong of Shuiyuan Street in Shijiazhuang. Beside the Xinhua District Government, this facade looks so inconspicuous, but this is the bureau of the famous irrigation district in China.

Pushing the door of Guo’s office, Guo expressed great enthusiasm and welcomed our arrival. In the morning, we introduced the basic situation of Shijin Irrigation District in the conference room, and elaborated on the characteristic signs of the WUZ Irrigation District, which is the real entry point of our practice.

The head of the Department of Science and Education, Bai Ke, also accompanied us to introduce us to answer our questions one by one. The WUA is unheard of for us in textbooks. At noon, our practice team members met to discuss the next work plan. Under the leadership of the Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Education Zhang Yongkun, we drove more than 100 kilometers to the Bridge Management Office and the Wangjiajing Management Office to conduct a simple inquiry and investigation of the management personnel.

Tuesday, June 6th, sunny

In the morning, we got up early. After breakfast, Zhang Kechang took us to the Zhaojia Irrigation Station of Wangjiajing Management Office.

Through the window, we saw that the cotton in the farmland on the roadside was growing, and the corn seedlings in the wheat field after harvesting grew up. We stopped at the irrigation station like a small farmhouse and greeted our eleven whites at the door. The old man who was born in the sky, Zhang Kechang introduced the stationmaster and said that the stationmaster was the old farmer with experienced leaders. This kind of enthusiasm made us flattered, but we didn’t have time to chat. The practice team divided into two groups with pens and The questionnaire went to the field to investigate.

The peasants who are working in the field are very enthusiastic after listening to our explanations. They answer our questions one by one, and sometimes they ponder for a while, and count the number of water meters in our questionnaire, such as this year’s water fee. The problem is "the money." The weather is very hot, but they don't want to sweat. An old farmer said: "Premier Wen is really a caring person for farmers. The policy of reducing agricultural taxes has made farmers more enthusiasm for farming!"

Through understanding, the old farmer has planted more than 20 acres of land. He only works in the fields and does not go out to work. The annual agricultural income is more than 20,000. Although the water fee has increased, the income of the farmers has increased. A big deal. When it comes to WUAs, they are full of praise, saying that this management method that has already been implemented abroad is still effective in China.

We were exhausted in the day's investigation, but the peasant's heartfelt smile and impassioned words made us motivated.

Wednesday, June 6th

Yesterday was our first time to go deep into the field survey, but today's freshness has not dissipated. Simple to eat early, we took the questionnaire and camera into two groups of bicycles and crossed the Shide Railway to the farmer's land.

The roadside crops swayed in the breeze, seemingly welcoming our guests who came from afar. The farmers in the field were busy working with straw hats. On a piece of cotton, a senior in their 60s took us He has opened up his family, from small things to the country. He seems to know everything. In her speech, she expressed her interest in party and state policies, but at the same time she was very disappointed with the measures of grassroots officials. The lives of ordinary people are completely in control. In their hands, they do not understand the peasants' hardships, just their own money bags. The old peasants regard us as the object that can be confided, and swear by the words of the heart.

We are also deeply pondered: China has indeed made major breakthroughs in anti-corruption efforts, but it is not enough, because it is related to the fate of our party’s life and death, so we must persist in anti-corruption and talk about the image of our party’s integrity and integrity. Party members reflected it and did not let the people down.

The summary topic at night was a bit heavy, but the team members expressed their opinions and made their own constructive opinions. It lasted for more than three hours.

Thursday, June 8th

I heard that the stationmasters of the various irrigation stations and the key personnel of the WUA are coming to the Wangjiajing Management Office this morning. We are very excited because we have dealt with farmers in the past few days. Today means that we can get in touch with the grassroots managers. . We expressed our thoughts to Director Meng Jianfa and asked him to give us about an hour. He agreed.

After breakfast, we still took the "tools" to the office, where there are already several old comrades. Going directly to the topic, we ask questions about what we want to know and understand. They are tired of explaining to us that although we are college students majoring in water conservancy engineering, we have only heard of many terms in practice, but we don’t know which one. The meaning.

They introduced us to the problems brought about by the emergence of new things in the WUA. Through their confession, we also learned the difficulties in their work. The key is that among Chinese farmers, the awareness of small farmers is still deeply rooted. We put forward constructive opinions. They said that they will work hard to improve in the future. The hour is very short. We can't delay their working hours. After simply packing up, we left Wangjiajing by car. We investigated the water use of the Ministry of Water Resources along the way. The pilot of the household association----Cuicun Irrigation Station. It is a pilot, their work is well organized, and no one does not clap their hands.

At noon, after a simple stop at the bridge and a communication with the stationmaster, we rushed back to Shijiazhuang in the afternoon, because we have another job, that is, the investigation of Minxin River. We have to undergo physical and mental adjustment for the next day. The work is prepared to provide plenty of energy.

Friday, June 9th

In the morning, we went to Guo’s office to exchange a few days of practical experience with him. In a few days, we really experienced what is called a social survey. No matter whether the respondents cooperate or not, we must maintain a good attitude, not arrogant, peaceful. Treating anything that is going to happen, Guo always smiled and said that this is a tempering that we must graduate after we are graduating. We have nodded and agreed, and Guo is still more experienced than us.

Next, Mr. Guo showed us the development process of Shijin Irrigation District for decades. It has condensed the blood and sweat of several generations, and the Shijin Irrigation District, which has been exhausted by countless winds and rains, is just a canal built by the Japanese to occupy China. It has developed into a large-scale irrigation district in the country and a major grain-producing area in the North China Plain. We deeply feel the hardship.

For the next work survey, Guo gave us a lot of human and material support, and gave us very creative suggestions.

In the afternoon, we completed our next project in the room provided by Mr. Guo, and improved our questionnaire for the change, in order to get more results when using.

Saturday, June 10th

Because the scores of the questionnaires in Wuhan offset printing are not enough, Liu Can went to find cheaper places for offset printing, and several of us are still perfecting our questionnaire. Because of the second anniversary of the new water law on August 29 this year, we are planning to jointly organize a water conservation and publicity water law campaign with the Hebei Provincial Water Resources Society Shijin Irrigation Division. The promotional materials are also designed by us.

Originally, I thought that things that could be done yesterday had a new change. Fortunately, we took a few moments and finally got it all at four in the afternoon.

At five o'clock, we took the benches, banners, and flags to the Xiqing Park along the Minxin River. We also went to several comrades of the Water Conservancy Society. When I arrived there, it was not very dark, and there were not many people. We opened the battlefield and opened flyers and promotional materials. By the time of 8:00, people came out for a walk, and we became very busy. While introducing, we called on the people to fill out the form, and several people were very busy.

Enthusiastic people asked us this question, and parents asked us about the enrollment situation of Wuhan University. We all answered one by one. We are not happy to have lost the flyers as we imagined.

At about 9:30, there were fewer people walking, and we packed up and went back. Everyone had only instant noodles for dinner, but they were very happy.

Sunday, June 11th

We have already prepared to start the investigation this weekend, because there will be more people visiting the park on weekends. The better place in Shijiazhuang is that there is no charge for all the parks in the city, which is quite different from Wuhan.

In the morning, we went to Century Park by the Minxin River. This park has a large passenger flow and many amusement facilities on the water. We started the investigation of urban water landscape projects such as Minxin River, which involved many problems, prospects and so on. Although many people are playing, but do not hesitate to fill out the questionnaire for our time, let us feel very relieved.

At noon, we ate a simple lunch in a small restaurant and slept on the stone bench in the park. It was a nap that couldn't be called a nap. Everyone didn't care what they saw, they slept very well because everyone was tired. . In the afternoon, I continued to investigate until eight o'clock. I don't have to say that I have a thrift at dinner.

At the conclusion of the evening, everyone was speechless, and the workload during the day was too great. Nearly 800 questionnaires were sent each day.

Monday, June 12th

This morning, we finished our work and went to work. The task was to sort out the questionnaire yesterday. Things that seem simple are actually not simple, the data is amazing, and the tedious is terrible. However, we still sorted the data by statistical classification and prepared for the data analysis after returning to school. In the afternoon, we began to organize the purchase and purchase the return ticket. In the evening, we successfully completed the task. A group of five people happily enjoyed the night view of Shijiazhuang. At this point, the practice link finally came to a successful conclusion.
