The turnover of machinery and equipment was US$21.48 million, accounting for 3.5%, which was 2.2 percentage points higher than that of the Spring Fair last year. Office stationery sales reached 20.28 million US dollars, accounting for 3.3%, down 0.1 percentage points from last spring's fair. The turnover of agricultural products was 19.35 million US dollars, accounting for 3.2%, which was 1.1 percentage points lower than that of the Spring Fair last year. The turnover of computer and communication products was 11.46 million US dollars, accounting for 1.9%, which was 0.3 percentage points lower than that of the Spring Fair last year.

Commodities with a turnover of more than 10 million US dollars include: textiles of $29.27 million, electric refrigerators of 51.12 million US dollars, clothing of 46.4 million US dollars, washing machines of 26.12 million US dollars, televisions of 25.25 million US dollars, air conditioners of 21.25 million US dollars, automobile parts of 17.05 million US dollars, toys $16.60 million, $14.09 million in footwear, $13.96 million in carpets, $13.3 million in lamps, $12.28 million in office supplies, $11.68 million in down products, and $11.53 million in bags.

The brand product sales effect is obviously better

The fair has 3,360 brand booths, accounting for 12% of the total number of booths in the conference. Among them, Anhui has 126 booths of various brands, accounting for 16.6% of the total number of booths in the province. The turnover of brand booths in Anhui Province reached US$15,195.3 million, accounting for 25% of the total turnover of the province; the average turnover of each brand booth was US$1.206 million, which was US$462,000 more than the average turnover of the general booth. Brand booth The result of the transaction was significantly better than the general booth. The enterprises with large turnover of brand booths include: US$60.5 million for Meiling Electric Freezer, US$12 million for TECHOME Appliances booth of Provincial Technology Import and Export Corporation, US$10.5 million for Rongshida Washing Machine, and “Midnight Red Sun” for Provincial Garment Import and Export Corporation. US$ 9.72 million, Tongcheng Hongrun's “Hongrun” down products sold for US$9.48 million, provincial silk import and export company “Leccaro” sold for US$4.1 million, and Andy Fitness Products’ “Andy” sold for US$4.1 million. Provincial Lime Import and Export Corporation's "Lily of the Valley" is $2.3 million.

The transaction price rose slightly

Due to the increase in raw material prices, the transaction price of most commodities at this fair was slightly higher than that of the previous session. Among them: the price of mechanical and electrical products increased by about 10% compared with the previous session, the price of hardware products rose by 15%, the price of building materials and chemical products increased by 10%, and the price of luggage and footwear increased by 3-5%. The price increase of clothing and textile products is not large. The main reason is that textile quotas have been abolished this year, and export competition has further intensified. Relatively speaking, EU and US customers have high requirements for product quality, and are interested in new products. The price increase is easy to accept. Customers in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa do not have high quality requirements. They are interested in low-end products, but the transaction price increases. High difficulty.

Third, the main export commodity market analysis and forecast

The Canton Fair is not only a platform for export transactions, but also an important place for us to understand the international market conditions and analyze and forecast the prospects of export commodities. During the Canton Fair, the members of the delegation of the trading group went deep into the booth to investigate and understand the transaction of major export commodities in Anhui Province, and analyzed and predicted the future market prospects. The main commodity situation is analyzed as follows:

1, household appliances. At present, the production technology of China's household appliances is mature, the quality level is stable, and the varieties and specifications are complete, the performance is superior, and the price is competitive. Freezers, air conditioners, water dispensers, etc. not only have advantages in the developing country market, but also enter the developed countries market. At the fair, Anhui's household appliances and consumer electronics products accounted for 33.3% of the developed countries, of which 55.2% were for electric freezers and 40.2% for developed countries. The biggest problem with the current home appliance export is that the production cost of home appliances has increased by about 10% due to the sharp increase in prices of plastics, steel and other raw materials. Although the export transaction price has increased correspondingly, the profit level has still declined.

2, textile and clothing. Compared with developed countries such as Africa, China's textile and garment industry has unique advantages compared with developed countries such as Europe and the United States. In particular, the market prospects for home textiles and bedding products are promising, coupled with the cancellation of export quotas. Clothing exports increased significantly in the first quarter. Recently, however, Europe and the United States have attempted to impose restrictions on China's textile and apparel exports. At this session of the Canton Fair, many companies are worried that the United States and the European Union will take action in the second half of this year, and they will not dare to sign contracts for the 10 kinds of textiles listed in the United States. The turnover of textiles was US$59.27 million, down 13.5% from the Spring Fair last year; the clothing turnover was US$46.4 million, which was only 2.1% higher than the Spring Fair last year. Moreover, due to the vicious competition between domestic textile and apparel products exporting enterprises, buyers have taken the opportunity to suppress prices, and the prices of apparel and textile products have remained roughly the same.

3, footwear. China is the world's largest footwear producer and exporter, but most of the exports are medium and low-end products, and the export price is lower. Since 1995, the EU has imposed quantitative restrictions on imports of Chinese footwear products and imposed high anti-dumping duties. This year, the EU has liberalized the number of shoes imported, which has increased opportunities for China to further expand footwear exports. There are many merchants in the footwear fair of this year's Canton Fair. However, due to the increase in the price of natural rubber and plastic raw materials, the cost of manufacturing shoes has increased by more than 5%. The export shoes of Anhui Province are all foreign trade companies. The supply of goods mainly comes from Wenzhou, Jinjiang, Quanzhou and other places. The room for maneuvering for rising digestive costs is small. There are many exporters of shoes, and the competition is fierce. Therefore, the selling price is difficult to increase or even decline. In the current Canton Fair, the turnover of footwear in Anhui Province was 14.09 million US dollars, which was only 1.6% higher than that of the Spring Fair last year.

4, tires. At present, China's exports are mainly bias tires, which are in great demand in the international market. Due to the rapid development of the automobile industry in China, the demand for bias tires is also large. However, since 2004, the price of natural rubber has been rising, and it continues to be at a high level; and due to the sharp rise in oil prices, the price of cord fabric has doubled over the same period last year. Many domestic bias tire manufacturers have been unable to bear the burden of sharply rising raw materials and expanding capital demand. They have stopped production or even closed down, resulting in a decline in domestic production, large domestic demand, and better domestic sales. The annual tires of the Canton Fair in Anhui Province only sold for USD 640,000.

5. Citric acid. In recent years, due to the rapid growth of the European and American economies, the demand for citric acid in the international market has increased. The Fengyuan Group of the Canton Fair has sold more than 13 million US dollars, which is 85.4% higher than that of the Spring Festival last year. Among them, 45% of transactions in Europe and 25% in the United States. At present, the company's first-water citric acid export delivery date has been scheduled for July, and the anhydrous citric acid export delivery date has been scheduled for September. The export price of citric acid has been removed from the trough at the end of 2004. It is 20 dollars higher than the price per ton of spring exchange last year. It is expected that there will be no major changes in the supply and demand of citric acid in the international market this year, the prices will remain basically stable, and due to the production of raw materials - As the price of corn declines, the profits of enterprises will increase.

6, luggage. Luggage is a labor-intensive product. Most of China's labor-intensive products have certain advantages in the international market. However, due to the large gap between the production technology and technology of leather products in China and Europe and the United States, leather-made bags and bags are exported less, and mainly It is a market in the Middle East, Africa and South America. Anhui Province exports mostly medium and low-grade plastic-spun surface bags, and the mid-range exports are mainly exported to the United States and the European Union for one-time consumption such as outing travel. The low-end products are mainly exported to the Middle East, Africa and South American markets. After the United States canceled the management of import quotas from China in 2003, China’s exports of American bags and bags continued to expand. However, due to the rising price of plastic raw materials and non-woven fabrics, the cost of luggage has increased by about 10%. Although the export transaction price has barely increased by about 5%, the profit margin of enterprises is still getting smaller and smaller. In the current Canton Fair, the turnover of luggage in Anhui Province was 11.53 million US dollars, which was 7.5% higher than that of the Spring Fair last year.

7, down products. Anhui's down has always enjoyed a good reputation both at home and abroad. In recent years, due to global warming, the demand for down products in the international market has grown slowly. Especially in the second half of 2004 to the first half of 2005, the prices of textile fabrics and down products continued to rise, and exporting companies had to raise the export price of down products. Foreign investors could not accept this for a while, resulting in the export of Anhui down products in the Spring Festival last year. To $1.3 million. Last autumn, the foreign trade began to agree with the price increase, and the down products began to pick up. The export of down products in Anhui Province at the Canton Fair was about 10 million US dollars, which is 8 times of the turnover of the Spring Fair last year.

8, cars, car chassis and auto parts. At the Spring Fair, the turnover of automobiles and automobile chassis was 5.57 million US dollars, which was 7.4% higher than that of last spring. The main reason was that Jianghuai's automobile chassis had more than 3 million US dollars in transactions in the Middle East; Changhe small trucks sold 2.07 million US dollars in Syria; The company sold small vehicles worth $500,000 under the TOPDRIVE brand. The international demand for auto parts was strong, with a turnover of US$17.05 million, double the number of spring fairs last year.

Fourth, the trading group's work

Leaders attach great importance to the preparation of the exhibition

According to the guiding ideology of “expanding the scale of import and export and improving the quality of trade” determined by the provincial business work conference at the beginning of the year, we have always focused on “optimizing the structure of exhibitors, improving quality and standards, expanding the scale of import and export, and accelerating the transformation of foreign trade. The central idea of the "growth mode" carries out various tasks. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the work of the Canton Fair and achieve good results, Deputy Director Zhang Daning held several special meetings before the meeting to deploy the preparatory work for the exhibition, and emphasized: First, optimize the structure of exhibitors and improve The proportion of exhibitors of production enterprises and famous new special enterprises; the second is to carefully select samples of exhibitions, highlighting brands and new products; the third is to actively prepare the bills of goods and draw up the target of the transaction; the fourth is to carefully spread the exhibition and strengthen the effect of booth display; Open up the on-site transaction class and guide the demonstration of new business transactions.

Director Wang Fuhong paid great attention to this Spring Fair and placed great hopes on it. He visited the Canton Fair to express his condolences to the exhibitors, inspected the pavilion, communicated with some enterprises, listened to the work report of the trading group, and conducted business research during the Canton Fair. A clear guiding opinion was put forward. On April 26, Deputy Director Wang Yafei also visited the Canton Fair to inspect and guide. The care and attention of the leaders of the hall made the participants of the trading group very encouraged and motivated.

Good organization and management, and publicity services are in place

Since the Canton Fair was held in two phases in the new and old museums, the number of official and temporary representatives of the exhibition was more than 4,000, and they were divided into six hotels, which brought great difficulty to the organization and logistics support of the trading group. The personnel of the Youth League are divided into two roads. The logistics support must take into account all six residences and the staff is very nervous. However, under the leadership of Zhang Danning and Jin Haiping, the staff of the Youth League Department organized comprehensive operations, carefully organized and unified dispatching, so as to clarify duties and division of labor, so that the organization, management and logistics support during the entire exhibition. Orderly and smooth operation.

All the staff of the Youth League have worked hard and rushed to the exhibition hall during the day, went deep into the booths to understand the dynamics of the exhibitors, exchanged and analyzed the commodity transactions, market trends, customer arrivals, etc.; timely summed up the analysis at night, looked for countermeasures, and adjusted the work plan. During the exhibition, the trading group also focused on strengthening the inspection of booths, exhibit samples, safety and security, guiding enterprises to protect their rights and interests, and ensuring that there were no safety incidents such as safety accidents and resale booths during the entire trade fair. At the same time, the Anhui Provincial Trading Group also actively carried out publicity work, and submitted 8 articles to the conference special issue "Canton Fair Newsletter", which comprehensively displayed the overall image of the participating enterprises in Anhui Province, publicized the effectiveness of Anhui's export brand construction work, and highlighted the company's transaction. The highlights of the publicity work were received by the General Assembly. The whole group worked together to work hard with a high sense of responsibility and successfully completed the various tasks of the fair.

V. Existing problems and suggestions

Main issues of concern to enterprises

1. About the appreciation of the renminbi

Judging from the current situation, the appreciation of the renminbi is under greater pressure. The appreciation of the renminbi will have an adverse impact on exports in the short term. While most of the raw material prices have kept rising, export prices have increased, but the average price is lower than the price increase of materials, and the export profit margin has been squeezed. Once the renminbi appreciates, the economic benefits of the enterprise will be significantly affected. If the appreciation rate exceeds 5%, many products will suffer losses.

2. About textile restrictions

The restrictions on the export of textiles in Europe and the United States have a great impact on the export of Anhui Province. Many customers, including business personnel, are not very clear about the categories of restrictions, and export orders are difficult. Especially after June 30, the European and American regions will adopt “special protection” measures for textiles. Many salesmen are afraid to take orders, especially long-term orders, which undoubtedly weaken the effect of the exhibition and also complete the year-round work for the company. The task has added new difficulties.

In addition, the EU's implementation of the “pre-import license monitoring” system for my footwear products exported to Europe from February 1 is also worthy of attention.

3. About the price increase of raw materials

Compared with last spring's fair, most raw materials prices have increased by at least 10%, some have doubled, the cost of export goods has risen, and the increase in selling prices is far below the increase in costs. small. If the price of raw materials continues to rise, the contract signed by this fair will not be able to place orders.

Suggest

1. Countermeasures against RMB appreciation

In the face of the appreciation of the renminbi, our export enterprises should raise their awareness of prevention. The methods that can be adopted are as follows: First, do not sign forward delivery contracts, and do “short, flat, fast” transactions; second, carefully choose payment methods. Do not accept forward payment, try to settle by T/T as soon as possible, you can take the two methods of forward settlement and sale of foreign exchange and bills; Third, add additional clauses in the contract to avoid risks, such as the words in the clauses The influence of uncontrollable factors such as exchange rate changes, the two sides negotiated to share the losses caused by unilaterally; and the fourth is to rationally evade through financial means such as foreign exchange buyouts.

2. In-depth optimization of product structure to cope with increased costs

New products attract customers, fewer competitors, and prices can be controlled; old products have many competitors, and the selling price is difficult to raise. Judging from the situation of this fair, the export prices of new series, new style and high technology content are better, and there is room for proper price adjustment, which can overcome the negative impact caused by rising raw material prices. Therefore, exporting enterprises should raise their awareness of innovation, accelerate the serialization, individualization and humanized development of products, and aim at target customers through market research, so as to achieve the goal of expanding export earnings.

3. Strengthen brand building to cope with market changes

The selling price of new products and brand booths in this year's fair is obviously better than that of general booths. The phenomenon of non-brand booth customers' price reduction is more serious and can only be guaranteed. However, there are still a small number of corporate brand awareness, brand booth products are placed at random, and the arrangement is sloppy, failing to give full play to the role of the brand exhibition area. Therefore, it is recommended that export enterprises should change their business philosophy, strengthen their own brand building, and strive for market with product quality and quality service. At the same time, they should make full use of the Canton Fair brand exhibition area to expand their display effect and obtain higher profits.

4. Some suggestions for the conference

First, compared with the new museum, there are many problems such as unreasonable layout structure, and it is recommended to displace the old museum booth to the new building as soon as possible.

Second, I hope that the Guangzhou Municipal Government will fully consider the economic standards of all parts of the country, effectively control the business costs during the Canton Fair, and reduce housing costs.

Third, I hope that the conference will shorten the time, increase the booths, and lean more toward the central region. And increase the crackdown on the resale stalls to ensure orderly and reasonable use.
