In particular, the men's wear industry and the women's wear industry started late but developed rapidly, surpassing other provinces with strong clothing, but the children's wear industry in Guangdong. Development is relatively backward, and there are only a handful of children's wear brands. In the face of China's potential 40 billion yuan children's wear consumer market opportunities, the relevant industries in Guangdong are raising their whip and speeding up their pace to strive for the largest share.
Guangdong children's wear production accounts for one-third of the country's total
A few days ago, Liu Xiansheng, vice president of the Guangdong Garment and Apparel Industry Association and executive director of the Children's Wear Professional Committee, said in an interview with this reporter that the children's wear industry in Guangdong started relatively late compared to the men's and women's wear industry, but it has developed rapidly and has grown stronger.
In recent years, relying on a good industrial environment and location advantages, Guangdong's children's wear industry has been greatly developed, regardless of production level, output and sales are among the best in the same industry in China. According to conservative estimates, the output of children's wear in Guangdong has exceeded 300 million pieces for two consecutive years, accounting for more than 30% of China's total output. There are leading brands such as Mickey, frog prince, jingle cat, and piglet.
From the perspective of the distribution of industrial clusters, Foshan currently has more than 2,300 children's wear industry chains, built children's wear city, children's wear design research center, testing center, trading center, etc., and has become a Chinese children's wear production base; Shenzhen is also born more than 60 times. Children's wear brands; Dongguan, Shantou, Zhongshan and other places also have children's clothing groups of varying sizes. At present, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, together with Shanghai and Beijing, have become the most concentrated cities for Chinese children's wear brands. In addition, Guangdong's children's wear professional market is relatively mature, some of which are well-known throughout the country, as well as children's wear independent brands have successfully entered the international market, opening a store abroad, such as the "Liguo" brand is a precedent.
Children's wear faces bottlenecks in development

The consumption of various types of children's clothing by domestic urban residents has been on the rise in recent years, with an annual growth rate of 26.5%. Yuan Renminbi children's wear market. With the improvement of living standards in China, the consumption of the Chinese children's wear market needs to shift from a practical type to a fashionable one. In some economically developed cities, the demand for children's wear has become trend-oriented and brand-oriented.
The reporter learned that at present, the children's wear industry in Guangdong is also facing many bottlenecks and restricting industrial development. One of the keys is that fabrics cannot meet the needs of children's wear enterprises. According to the sample survey conducted by enterprises, there are very few enterprises specializing in the development of children's clothing and accessories in Guangdong. At the same time, professional children's wear design talents are currently very scarce in Guangdong. There are not many talents who are really engaged in children's wear design. High-level and professional children's wear marketing talents are rare.
Experts pointed out that the development of children's wear brand in Guangdong is relatively lagging behind, and it is still in its infancy. There are not many well-known brands, the scale of enterprises and market share are small, the status is not stable, and the competition of clusters of children's wear enterprises in other provinces is also intensifying. In addition, from the international environment, the green barriers to children's wear exports also limit their marketing channels.
Strengthening industrial chain docking and cooperation
The Guangdong Garment and Apparel Industry Association decided to rename the Children's Wear and Maternity Products Committee to the Children's Wear Professional Committee and separate the children's wear as a key project this year. And innovate the organization of the professional committee. The children's wear professional committee is the children's wear entrepreneur. In addition to the children's wear business, it also absorbs outstanding designers, fabrics, shopping mall representatives, children's wear associations, and professional committees. Better understand the actual situation and needs of the company, and have the ability to lead the development of peers. In the next step, the committee will promote the industrial chain docking and cooperation, hold professional children's clothing fabric accessories procurement meeting, do a good job in brand-name cultivation, and hold the 2006 China Children's Wear Design Competition and other activities.
