I remember that in ancient China there was a story of a general who threw coins. Once, a general said to all the soldiers before the war, we will throw a handful of coins to see if we can win today. If the coins are facing up, we can win. The general raised the coins and let all the soldiers watch them. As a result, all the coins were facing up. The soldiers were violent, and they thundered and defeated all the enemies in one fell swoop. When the soldiers were in the carnival, the generals re-extracted the coins, and found that the two sides of the coins were printed on the front side, and they were all positive. By the same token, if we are confident in our lives, then no matter how we throw, the coins of our destiny are facing up. Of course, this is not to say that we must be blindly confident. Therefore, we have to do the following things.
First, do things that you are sure of, or that can bring good results. You have to have a good judgment. If you are in a position that is not suitable for you, the final result will destroy yourself, because you are doing something you are not sure about.
Second, we must use common sense and wisdom to stay away from danger and misfortune. Many of the misfortunes in our lives are caused by their own judgments, their own recklessness or their own thoughts. As long as you think hard, you will stay away from this danger and misfortune. Let me give an example. In the winter four years ago, a student from New Oriental attended class 47 and went out to eat at night. When he came back, he found that the school gate had been closed. When he turned halfway, he accidentally slipped down and the whole hand was penetrated by the red hammer of the iron fence. This is called no common sense. When you find that the iron fence is slippery, when you find that you have more than 50% risk in turning over, the only thing you have to do is to knock on the door and call the person on duty, even if you are beaten by him. But you can go in safely instead of going over the iron fence. The man stayed in the hospital for a week and will always spend the rest of his life with a broken hand. In fact, many dangers can be avoided, but you have not avoided it. This is because your judgment is wrong.
At the same time, don't become a coward to avoid danger. Be sure to do something with certainty, but it is a little risky. This is the best way to achieve your career. When you find that there is a 50% chance of success, you can do it. In addition, there must be a premise. If you fail, you can withstand it, and you will not become a neuropathy and will not commit suicide. For example, when I came out from Peking University, it was actually risky, because coming out of Peking University in 1990 meant losing the iron rice bowl, meaning that it was a lifetime that I didn’t know where to drop my account, which means my own The file does not know where to put it, not to mention that there is a record of the first-level record in my file. I don't expect any unit to dare to ask me, but I am sure, because I know that I can go to class every night after I come out. I am qualified as a teacher. I earn 20 yuan a night to qualify. If I can earn 20 yuan a night, I can earn 600 yuan a month, and the salary that Peking University gave me was 120 yuan. I earned four times more money in class than in Northern Canada. Even if I rent a house, I can afford my family. I came out from Peking University under such preconditions. Later, the new East is also a prerequisite. I think that if I put all the tens of thousands of dollars I earned in the previous two years, even if the money is lost, I will not commit suicide. Because this only shows that I have no economic gains in the past two years, but I am still a teacher and can still start from 20 yuan a night. Because of this premise, in 1993 I dared to invest the money I made in New Oriental. Because I know that this failure can afford it for me. When you find that a failure can be affordable for you, you have to take risks, you have to try boldly, otherwise your life will lose color because of your caution and care. You will shrink like anything like a snail, so you lose the chance to swim in the sea like a fish. A snail may have traveled a lot in his life, but it will always be in that shell, always around there, never leaving the beach around him. But a fish can swim through the sea because it gets rid of the timidity of the snail. Therefore, a person's excessive protection of himself will also cause him to lose his chance. If you want to be able to swim the sea like a fish, you must have the courage.
