Life is like climbing a mountain. If you walk on the ground, you don't have to work hard for a lifetime, but the scenery you see is the same. From the first day of birth to death, the days passed every day are the same. Because you have not worked hard, there is no unexpected gain. We may say that GRE and GMAT students who have obtained high scores may have high IQ, but what is more important is their efforts. They have the spirit of dedication and dedication, and continue to work hard until they scored their satisfaction.
I saw my own shadow from them. I am not a very high IQ person. If the IQ is very high, I will not be admitted to Peking University after three years of examination. I will not learn more than other students before each exam. I felt this way when I was a child. I have a very good natural environment. I have a unique advantage on the Yangtze River. I can see the boats in the river on the riverside. When a person has a heart that is longing for the distance, his feet will definitely go to the distance, so there is a story of a poor child like me who is studying Peking University one year. Although I graduated from Peking University with the fifth place in the class, I worked hard to make New Oriental the largest English training school in China.
I always believe that people's dreams and passions will lead you to the distance. When I went to the US Embassy to be refused once and for all, I was also discouraged. I feel that there may be no other countries in the world to give me a visa other than Afghanistan. However, I have more than a dozen countries in my current passport. The United States has given me a business visa valid for ten years. Complaints in life are useless. You may have a lot of gaps with others when you are born. It doesn't matter from a lifetime perspective. For example, it doesn't matter if you are born in a farmer's family or a minister's family. From the time you were born, you are an independent life. As long as you have a seed, you can bear the rain and dew to grow. Whether you can grow up depends on the care of your parents and the cultivation of your teachers. What's more important is to see what kind of seeds you are.
Whether the students in the future can succeed in the future is not in your current state, but in whether you have the mentality or not, and turn your complaints into a mentality of active struggle. You have to believe that all the successes in this world, whether you are happy or not, and whether you are harvesting or not are from yourself and from the seeds of your heart. It never lies in what kind of teacher, parent or social environment you encounter. In any social environment, people can find out the experience and spirit that motivates themselves to struggle. The external environment we face is the same. A great person is to create a world of survival and expand it. Rather than saying that you will complain after entering a ready-made living world.
In the face of future development, studying abroad is undoubtedly a good way to expand. Of course, we can't say that we can't do things without studying in China, otherwise I would not be qualified to speak here. Ma Yun, Shi Yuzhu, Liu Chuanzhi and I have not stayed in school, but have done a lot of success. There are always successful people and great people in this world who are constantly growing, no matter what kind of soil can grow beautiful plants. In general, if our life can be expanded, the most important thing to expand is to know the world at a young age.
If family conditions permit, you can study abroad in high school. In order to save money, you can study in the postgraduate stage, that is, when you are undergraduate, GRE or GMAT is finished. Graduate students do not study abroad, and they still have to constantly seek opportunities to broaden their horizons after work. In the future, the weight of China on the world stage will surely become heavier and heavier. In this case, you will find that the most needed talents in the world are talents who understand Chinese and Western cultural integration, language, technology, and tradition. Everyone has lived in China for so many years and has a good understanding of China's cultural traditions and the way Chinese people do things. It has naturally responded to Chinese culture. But now even if your English ability is very good, even if you have a perfect score on GRE, there is still a gap in the Western world. The biggest problem for Chinese students, especially graduate students, is that they only engage in research and their own profession but do not integrate into American society after going abroad. For example, do not deal with Americans, or even deal with American students, just do experiments and research. In the end, the English level did not improve too much. On the surface, I got a degree from the United States. From the perspective of thinking, it is still a bandit. Studying abroad from the postgraduate level is not only a course of study, but also the use of this time to truly become a person who is fully compatible with Chinese and Western cultures and languages ​​and other technological aspects. Because only such people have a stage in the future, no matter whether it is on the Western stage or on the Chinese stage, great achievements can be made. The people I have met now have the saying that as long as China gives me a platform, I will not hesitate to return to China. China's current platform is very large, and China's national strength shows that China's future investment in science and technology will be more and more. The environment and treatment of scientists who return to China for intensive research will not be lower than that of the United States, so that a large number of scientific and technological people will return to China.
Why do I encourage study abroad? This is not just about changing the structure of knowledge and living conditions, but that you shoulder the responsibility of changing the living and spiritual state of the Chinese nation. Therefore, I think studying abroad is very important for the Chinese.
