Social Practice Report on the Winter Holidays in 2019

From January 22nd to February 27th, I came to Zhoujia Village for social practice with the team of the three engineering colleges. For me who lived in the city from a young age, it was a rare experience. In just five days, I felt a strong sense of rural life and also produced many feelings.
Zhoujiacun is a well-known civilized village. The whole village has an area of 1,550 mu of arable land, 200 mu of households, 230 households and 800 people, including 19 party members. The village has 1.2 million fixed assets, and the average annual income of the village is about 3,800 yuan. Living in a nearby village is a affluent level. Since he took office in 1974, Mr. Zhou has exhausted his efforts for the work in the village and brought a lot of benefits to the village. The village has undergone earth-shaking changes. When I mentioned Mr. Zhou, the young and old in the village all gave thumbs up.
After entering the village, the first thing that caught my attention was the orderly roads and neat houses, as well as the persimmon trees on both sides of the road that were both economically beneficial and beautiful, which was quite different from the countryside I imagined. After being integrated into the village, I can deeply feel that the security situation in the village is quite good. The economic abundance and the tranquility of life made it my exaggeration to use the peace and happiness as the first impression that Zhou Jiacun gave me.
Listening to the leaders of the village, the main income of the village comes from the planting industry. The income of 200 mu of orchard can reach 4,000 yuan per mu, and the pepper reaches 10,000 yuan per mu. But when we asked if there were any enterprises and projects in the village, the village leaders told us that there was a wooden factory that was put into production in the village a few years ago, but in less than three years, the wood factory was losing money. And disappeared in the village, and the idea of several projects on the following days was aborted due to lack of funds and less technology.
Talents and education have left a deep imprint on my heart. In the process of giving classes to children in the next few days, this brand has become deeper and deeper.
The school is not too big, it is a bright classroom and a desk that is not yet broken, compared with the remote mountains to satisfy the children. But it is a far cry from the small country in the city where I lived from a young age. It is only from the day when the children have to move their stools home. This learning environment cannot be described by a good word. But the children's passion and seriousness in learning have deeply touched me. They almost want us to teach them all the knowledge they know within five days.
In the communication with the children, I learned that they all want to become college students and become scientists, full of curiosity and embarrassment to the unknown world outside. But when I asked them not to come back later, almost all the children were silent. Perhaps they are still primary school students. They have not understood the meaning of my question. Maybe it is the university that has been accompanying them all the time. If you go to a big city, it will affect them. No child said that he would return to his hometown.
Talent and education are once again echoing in my mind.
A friend once told me a real story. A provincial key middle school has a student from a poor mountain village. It is very hard to learn. There is only nine words on his bedside to motivate himself to learn. Don't forget! You are a rural hukou!!!
When I heard this, my heart was heavy. The huge difference between urban and rural areas in China has caused an extremely extreme mistake in the concept of education. Rural children are forced by their own rural hukou and living environment pressure to use almost all their energy to study and test university, in order to get rid of the backward environment and realize their dream of a better life. But when the pride of these villages has been tested and become college students? How many of them have returned to their unprosperous hometowns and devoted themselves to the construction? People are yearning for a better life, this is understandable, but the village left What is it? The names of several college students, an illusory honor. Talent is still lacking and life is still poor.
This kind of talent flow does not exist only between rural areas and cities, but also between small cities and big cities, between backward areas and developed areas, between the western and eastern parts of China and between China and abroad. .
The children's thoughts and practices are not from their own thinking, and most of them come from the words and deeds of parents and teachers. In a chat with a grandfather, the old man told us that he had two sons and two daughters who both went to the city. When talking about the grandson, the old man was very proud to tell us that his grandson was just in a province. The key high school exams the top ten, after taking the university, taking the famous university, going to the big city! The smile of the old man made me feel the eagerness of the parents to look like a child and become a woman. I asked the old man if he didn't think about letting his grandson go home to support his hometown. The old man said: The village is too bitter, can go outside, why come back. Who doesn't want to have a good day for their children!
In terms of the living standards of Zhoujia Village, the village should be rich. The villagers in Zhoujia Village do not want to let the children come back, but they can imagine the situation of other poor villages.
The key to the prosperity of Zhoujiacun lies in the 200-mu high-efficiency field that cooperates with South Korea. In fact, this is both an objective income and a use of labor. The Koreans out of the seeds, the technology, the labor in the village, the land, and after the harvest, the Koreans recycle all the fruits and seeds, and the compensation paid to the village is only a small part of the income. Moreover, it is stipulated that the village should not leave fruit for seeding, otherwise it will be severely punished. This is completely a kind of deception of the labor force, but our knowledge is the key to the technical skills that cannot be mastered. And for this considerable income, we must also be deceived by Koreans for this kind of technology. The reason is why there are not enough talents!! Imagine if there are such a large number of talents with rich agricultural knowledge in the village, we can fully grasp the technology of Koreans. And thus for our own use, then all the proceeds will be owned by ourselves. The village will be richer than it is now!
Children are eager for knowledge, and the village also needs talent and technology. However, some objective reality has changed our educational concept, resulting in the loss of talent. In the past 20 years of reform and opening up, people's thinking has made great progress, and more and more people have realized the importance of education. In the course of the interview with Zhou Jiacun, we learned that 80% of families use their children's education expenses as their most important expenditure in the next few years. After the funds have been guaranteed in the past, we support rural education not only with financial help, but also with the help of educational talents and educational concepts. Children need more than just knowledge. They also need to be human, adapt to the concept of the times and the overall situation. As a new era of college students, we have the responsibility and obligation to do our best to support the rural education!
I saw a lot in the process of going to the countryside, but I think the most important thing is education. Science and technology is the primary productive force! The education in rural areas in the new era still faces many problems. Solving these problems will greatly promote the development of rural areas.
