Recently, Shandong Talent Network conducted an online survey of female college students seeking employment and opt-in intentions. A total of 7311 female college students participated in the survey in 4 days.
According to the survey, the problem of female college students' gender discrimination in employment is still outstanding. Among the respondents, 52.8% are considered “seriously serious”, and 44.4% and 2.8 respectively are considered “not too serious” and “non-existent”. %. For the problem of why female college students are difficult to work, 42.4% of the girls think that “there are fewer jobs and more job seekers” is the main reason. Others are “employer-discriminating female college students” accounting for 24.8%, and “self-quality is not strong” accounting for 24.6%. "Not much social relations" accounted for 8.2%.
Liu Qian, a human resources teacher at Shandong Talent Network, believes that in recent years, there have been fewer and fewer units and posts that “do not want women”, and gender discrimination is more implicit.
On March 30th, Shandong Talent Network and the local urban women's newspaper held a women's special online video recruitment fair. A total of 152 units participated in the recruitment day, providing more than 2,800 jobs for female college students. The top three hot industries are information technology and internet, electronic technology, and trade. The hot jobs are mainly sales, production/operation/engineering, computer/internet/communication, personnel/administration/logistics, PR / advertising, etc.
Bai Xuefeng, a journalism major, graduated this year. She said that women accounted for two-thirds of the 90 students in their class. More than 20 students from the class ran from Lanzhou to Xi'an a few days ago to participate in the talent recruitment fair, but "a lot of science and engineering jobs." Clearly do not recruit girls, there is a secret post also noted as long as men, "may feel that girls are more trouble." It is understood that one-third of the girls in their class have already found a job, but most of them rely on family relationships.
Regarding gender discrimination, Wang Bao, who graduated last year, has different opinions. She said that she did not feel that she was discriminated against during the application process. When she applied for the new employee training, she found that more than 200 new employees had more girls than boys. “Leaders also said that they did not want girls when they recruited. But after several rounds of examinations, many girls are very good." Wang Bao believes that there are fewer gender discrimination problems in large unit companies, and that boys and girls compete on the same stage. She said that when college students are employed, they must always consider the issue of discrimination, and they will bring an invisible spell to themselves, which is not conducive to finding a job.
In addition, the survey also showed that “stable, no risk” is still a factor that women's job seekers are more valued. 72.2% of the girls surveyed agree that “doing well is better than marrying well”, among which “choose very agree” and “compare” The agreement was 19.4% and 52.8% respectively. From the survey and recruitment site, female college students' attention to pay has been reduced. Among the six issues that are most concerned about job hunting, this factor ranks only fourth in the proportion of 12.3%, and the “promotion of further education opportunities” ranks the first. Liu Qian believes that this shows that female college students pay more attention to their long-term career planning, indicating that they are more rational in their employment.
