Our society is in the process of modernization, and the education sector is gradually completing its own modernization. The new era needs new mechanisms for cultivating people. What characteristics do new talents need? What are the current adverse effects of schools and families on secondary school students? These issues have naturally become the focus of our attention. Therefore, in the “Social Survey Practice Class” in 1999, we selected the “Sampling Survey of Middle School Students' Family and School Education Status in 26 Large and Medium Cities”. After investigation and analysis, and referring to various literatures, the social personality characteristics of contemporary middle school students are selected for research purposes. There are two reasons for this: 1 By investigating the current situation of contemporary middle school students' social personality, we can find that our family and school are in the character development of students. The shortcomings are the factors that lead to positive social personality and which lead to negative personality. 2 For the middle school students who are currently in a transitional society, their social personality has the same transitional characteristics as the nature of their society. In the current stage of the transformation of traditional and modern personality types, the perspectives of contemporary middle school students' personality characteristics are reflected. The characteristics, and which also reflect the shackles of history. The former point is mainly for the purpose of thinking, while the latter is more focused on the theoretical thinking of social and cultural changes, all of which constitute the research purpose and significance of our investigation.

research method

For the basic definition of social personality, we grasp this: “that is, the psychological characteristics of the group that are recognized and accepted by each member of the group in the process of interaction in a certain historical stage. It is both social and at the same time accompanied by the process of value judgment. "Social personality arises from social action, which means that "the individual who acts gives his actions a subjective meaning, and the behavior takes into account others and targets others in the course of their actions." A psychological feature.

The theoretical hypothesis in the study mainly adopts the typology method. Just as the following is the division of Spencer's "Shangwu society" and "industrial society", we divide the social personality into two typical models of tradition and modernity. The social personality of middle school students in social transformation also has the characteristics of transition. Some social personalities and new social forms in the old social form are also reflected in the performance of certain social personalities, and are transformed into the latter.

In the study, we used a sample survey method to divide all cities in the country into large, medium and small, and then randomly selected 26 cities in large and medium-sized cities for multi-stage stratified sampling. The middle school students answered 275 copies. After examination, the results were objective and effective, the quality of the questionnaire was high, and the statistical software of spss statistical software was used for statistical analysis. According to the indicators established in the survey work plan, the test analysis was carried out separately, and the demographic data in the library was combined. , made a preliminary thinking. In the following, it is intended to elaborate on the attitudes and feelings of contemporary middle school students on their environment, idolatry, personality orientation, and transformational social personality structure.

Second, the feelings and attitudes of middle school students to their families and school environment during the social transition period

Family is one of the main social environments that affects and acts on individual ideas, psychological characteristics and behaviors. China is known as the "three-year-old", that is, from one aspect, it illustrates the behavior of early parent education for a person's life. The important role of norms, psychological characteristics, values, lifestyles, personality temperament, and moral character shaping, according to the "New Introduction to Sociology" edited by Mr. Zheng Hangsheng, the influence of family on the socialization of individuals is roughly three: 1 parent education and The influence of the family environment is a social beginning. The family environment factors have a profound impact on the individual's concept, psychology and behavioral habits. 2 Another important significance of family environment to personal socialization lies in the cultivation of children's feelings and love. The family environment is undoubtedly much more important for individuals to communicate and experience love than other social environments. The emotional exchange plays a vital role in the normal development of a person's feelings and psychology, and the socialization of this relationship depends to a large extent on the extent of the family's emotional exchange. 3 The authority of parents in the family has a great impact on the socialization of children. The authoritative image in the family environment and the emotional exchange between parents and children make the family socialization have a strong penetration and shaping power for the individual's psychology and concept. Based on this, in our survey, we focused on designing related topics. After preliminary statistical analysis and theoretical thinking, we believe that the following aspects are worthy of our consideration.

1. The moral influence of some parents and teachers is difficult to coordinate with the children themselves. Among the middle school students surveyed, 70.2% of the parents pay more attention to their children's moral education, and they can play a role in preaching and teaching. They have a model role, which is very beneficial to the education of their children, but we should also see 29.8% of parents do not pay much attention to the education of moral education. This is not a low proportion. In fact, the moral, image and moral connotation embodied by the various behaviors of parents in the family are largely children. Model, especially in pre-pubertal children and young children whose outlook on life is not yet fully defined. There are certain differences in the roles and status of parents and children in the family. Specifically, “parents are educators, children are educated, and dependents. He has a right to control. Parents will find themselves. Role, and children in this role will follow and imitate their parents, in the hope that they will become parents in the future. "Of course, the role of this mechanism is sometimes completely subconscious. From the results of the survey, I asked the students, “When the teacher teaches you how to behave inconsistent with parenting, what do you choose?” 4.7% of the middle school students chose “listening to the father’s” rather than “listening to the mother’s”. The selected ratio is slightly higher at 4.3%, but it can be seen that the status of the mother in the modern Chinese family moral education has been greatly improved compared with the status of the mother in the ancient "father and mother" family. It can be seen that the dependence of modern middle school students on their parents' teaching has dropped enough to attract attention, because 11.9% of students choose to “listen to the teacher”. It can be seen that among the practitioners of moral education, the teacher is undoubtedly the parent. The more ethical and persuasive characters, the words they have said will bring tremendous shaping influence to the middle school students who are still at the foundation stage of the world outlook and outlook on life. Of course, when “parents teach and teachers are inconsistent”, most middle school students rationally choose “whoever listens to whom”, which is 50.2%, instead of simply selecting “father” 4.7 like the above three. %, "mother" 4.3% or "teacher" 11.9%, "who is listening to who" indicates that they have the ability to judge, not blindly obedient, not superstitious authority, which is a distinctive feature of contemporary adolescents. However, we still have to see the other side. Actually, 24.3% of the middle school students choose "whoever is in agreement with me, and whoever listens to it" is a high proportion that we can’t expect. We can at least see contemporary The performance of “self-centered” tendencies of middle school students, contemporary middle school students, due to the large proportion of only children, has a higher status in the family, which has led to the strengthening of self-centered personality traits of some students. On the one hand, this personality trait will cause some students to hold excessive “self-esteem”, and it is a potential obstacle to the good development of interpersonal relationships they face in their future life. This part of the students is more difficult to get along with others than the students who "who listened to whom". They often judge everything by their own value standards. It is difficult to be objective, fair and consider others. This is our future. A question that should be taken seriously in the work of education. Finally, we focus on the part of the student group that selects “Who doesn’t listen”, which accounts for 4.7% of the total. Their responses clearly show the rebelliousness of adolescents close to puberty and adolescence, but their responses are even more extreme. Rebellious, this psychological character with resistance color is itself one of the social personalities of this age group. Middle school students "when they pay special attention to observe and recognize the meaning of various social roles in this period, learn to play different roles and realize roles. Self is different, and if the individual's social interaction activities during this period lack initiative and self-confidence, they will not be able to correctly understand the meaning of various social roles, and the roles in the activities will be confused." Since young people pay special attention to the behavior of others Conducive to their role-playing, but at the same time the parent's teaching in the family and the teacher's teaching in the school, if there is a value-oriented inconsistency, this inconsistency increases the confusion of young people, sometimes makes them feel at a loss, and in the process of modernization, The development of human self-awareness and independent consciousness is accelerating, and the rapid exchange of knowledge and science and technology breaks the obedience to the past authorities and elders. Therefore, some teenagers may not pay attention to traditional moral education, and they may Don't listen."

Then, in school, what about the "German" who is the first in the education of "Traditional Intelligence, Morality and Art"? It can be seen that the current ideological and moral education in the middle school classroom has lags behind the situation. The empty space of moral education has no practical content. The role models are lacking in the times and lack of persuasiveness. The requirement of not being able to face the psychological development of young people in the new era has become One of the main reasons why middle school students do not evaluate moral education is high. In fact, according to the results of the survey on “satisfaction with courses offered in various subjects of the school”, the average satisfaction degree of middle school political courses is 2.60, which is close to the value “3”. "--"Attitude is general", even if the average is still between "general" and "satisfactory", nearly 40% of students have low evaluations, which indicates that the reform of middle school moral education is imperative.

2. Students lack emotional communication with parents and teachers in the family and in the school. In terms of the “communication status” in the questionnaire, “talking with students or discussing problems” is the most frequent and most important among middle school students in interpersonal communication. 3. Satisfaction with the various conditions of the family and the school: On the questionnaire, we asked the middle school students about the satisfaction of the seven basic conditions of their families. The average value of each item obtained was 2”. Between the value of 3" and the "normal", but not exceeding the "satisfactory" level, according to the satisfaction from high to low: "Parents never punish themselves; "to the parents' occupation"; "to the family "The housing situation"; "the pocket money for the family", "the income for the family", "the understanding of the family's interest in oneself", the lowest is "listen to their own opinions", from the two lowest averages At present, the middle school students are less satisfied with the family. The main reason is that the exchanges and understanding between parents and children are not enough. In particular, they lack a kind of "adult treatment" and can give them a democratic attitude with certain decision-making power and voice in the home. This is a disadvantage for the middle school students in adolescence, which lacks recognition and affirmation. Therefore, when we ask in the question of “self-evaluation”, “Do you feel that you are independent? The average value of the answer is 1.88, very close to the value ② "normal" level, shows that young students face more family environment is difficult to develop self-sense of independence and accomplishment.

Similarly, we also conducted a satisfaction survey on the school's various situations. In the results of the inquiry about the 12 school options involved, the most dissatisfied students reported were “too many homework”, followed by “monotonous textbook content, Boring, and secondly, middle school students are not satisfied with the lack of understanding and communication between teachers and students. On the other hand, it may deprive some students of the free development of personality, such as social aspects. Under the education system, most of the schools are going to study and light quality education. It’s right, but in the future society, good social communication ability is one of the necessary conditions for a person to succeed, and other spiritual characteristics, such as the “following spirit” that modern people must have, are also reflected in our middle school students. Unsatisfactory, this will be described in detail below.

4. Issues in family and school neutral sex education: According to the survey, 69.8% of middle school students have been exposed to the physical health education provided by the school, while 30.1% have never attended this class, not to mention It is said that there is a scientific and comprehensive understanding of sexual knowledge. 80.2% of people with sexual physiology claim to “know a little”, while 9.2% do not understand it at all, and only 10.6% of middle school students claim to have “complete understanding”. It can be seen from these figures that the teaching of sex education in the sex education or physical health classes currently offered in the majority of secondary schools does have the phenomenon of “swinging and going through the field”. Scientifically explaining the knowledge of sex in schools and families is by no means a manifestation of the crisis of "the wolf is coming". Instead, it is concealed or avoided, and it is often a very serious result, such as homosexuality. Psychological completion, in which the gender education in childhood and the lack of adolescent psychological education are all important determinants or contributing factors.

Adolescents are in a period of conscious self-development of sexual consciousness, and there is not much understanding of this aspect. This is the key period in which we need to strengthen education to cultivate their healthy personality. If there is no scientific sex in the early stage of puberty. The study of knowledge will bring them the distress of life and the bad development tendency of personality. As far as the current investigation is concerned, a large part of the acquisition of sexual knowledge of young students is obtained through informal “underground channels”. . In the “Yellow Communication Channel” survey, in the three main channels of general pornography communication, oral communication among classmates or peer groups among contemporary middle school students is the most important way to understand sexual knowledge, with 46.0% Middle school students have heard their classmates talk about unhealthy yellow stories or jokes. The above-mentioned ethical coordination status; interpersonal communication status; satisfaction with the school family environment; and sexual physiology education are all very important environmental factors in the process of personal socialization, so look for contemporary middle school students for their families and schools. Environmental awareness and feelings are helpful in explaining their social personality traits, which is why we list the above survey data.

III. Idol worship and personality tendency--From the perspective of occupational stratification

Idols are the types of people who have a high degree of recognition in life. People are willing to accept the behavior patterns, thinking habits, and values ​​of this type of person. And gradually developed into a strong and emotional social action--worship, what kind of idols in a society can explain the distribution of dominant values ​​and real-life status in the society; traditional values ​​and external values, local How do external social factors such as culture and exotic culture, realistic social environment and ideal life goals take root in individual consciousness and accept collisions with other ideas? Idol worship is a realistic example of this "internalization", but it shows that the feelings are more intense, what kind of society will have what kind of rational social personality, "John Lennon in the 1960s The headed 'Beetle' rock band" became the world-class icon of the generation. In our survey, I asked “What type of people do you most admire?” and got the following results: Among the 13 idol types listed, the number of “sports stars” as the idol worship was the highest, accounting for 15.2% of the total. This shows that the weight of "Star" in the hearts of middle school students, 29% of the students worship the stars, which to a certain extent shows that a large number of middle school students are eager to be independent and eager to show themselves. I hope that I will become the center of social attention. This is in line with the findings of the above survey. At the same time, 13.8% chose not to worship anyone. Here, the sense of autonomy chose a form of rebellious spirit. Such teenagers are not satisfied with admiring others. They become dare to dare to do, they may worship It’s their own! Whether we agree or disagree, this social personality is what our society and our times require. China needs a group of young people who are self-sufficient and dare to dare to do it! The third choice is “military”, accounting for 11.6%. Today’s military status is favored by middle school students and is related to their higher social status and treatment. In recent years, the international political environment that China faces is not peaceful. The strength has increased, and in the future it will improve the image of college students or middle school students who join the army. Next is the "scientist", accounting for 10.7%. The traditional idols are not dominant. Instead, they are worshipping "business celebrities", accounting for 8.9%. It can be seen that young people in today's society have bid farewell to the past. By contrast, choosing "famous politicians" as the idols only accounted for 4.9%, choosing "excellent teachers" for idols. Only 2.2%, so we can imagine that although the normal colleges are also popular in the college entrance examination, but how many people in the candidates for the exam is the ideal of life as a teacher? Traditional idols have become increasingly uncharacteristic in the minds of contemporary middle school students. Among them, the proportion of “production model workers” is the lowest, at 0.9%. Only a very small number of middle school students expect to be a “good worker” in the future.

Judging from the above arrangement of several idolatry, in the social personality structure of middle school students today, there are some new features, they are willing to express themselves, pay attention to their independence, dare to speak out of interests, pay attention to occupational economic income and social status. There is little interest in occupational types that emphasize dedication and low returns. Perhaps we can say that this is a utilitarian generation, but in fact, this is the social personality that the commodity economy calls. They are adaptors of history and culture, but they are the pioneers of the future.

The social personality in the transitional society also has a transition from tradition to modernity. In this transitional phase, there are two distinct types of social personality changes. In the division of "Shangwu society" and "industrial society", American sociological thinkers summarized the spiritual characteristics of the members of the "Shangwu society" as: "consistent, obedient, loyal, obedient, non-innovative, dependent on authority, and The status quo is both natural and the only possible belief. Of course, the division of the above two types of society is only the division of two ideal types. As far as the current stage of China is concerned, in the middle stage of the two, it also clearly has the transitional characteristics of social personality, during the transition period of society. Undoubtedly, it will also have some negative effects under the market economic system. People's development will also have some new changes, such as personality separation, psychological impetuousness, anxiety and volatility, values ​​embarrassment, behavioral loss and so on. However, from the perspective of historical orientation, the shaping of economic relations and the consciousness of independent individuals are the requirements of the market economy. The market requires individuals to have the same subject status as enterprises, to dilute dependence; and to require people’s equal consciousness, which refers not only to people. The legal status is equal, and more emphasis is on equal competition. Of course, the equality of such competition can only be equal opportunity, but not complete equality... and at the same time encourage individuals to be risk-aware. The view of high-yield returns has been deeply rooted in people's hearts; the social interaction between people has the characteristics of the “wide and not deep” era of the information society, which is more utilitarian and time-sensitive; attaches great importance to contractual interpersonal relationships; Sexuality and self-esteem are greatly enhanced. Therefore, respecting others and working together with others has become a consensus of the society. Emphasizing opportunities and sometimes even having a chance to gain social value, such as expecting to make a fortune by lottery The realistic portrayal of the hot scene of the award; for the evolution of such a social mentality and the changes in social personality, we believe that Both will profoundly affect the formation of social personality of contemporary middle school students. The market economy has made demands on the personality of the new era. So, do contemporary middle school students adapt to this challenge?

Analysis of the status quo of contemporary middle school students' social personality structure

The structure of social personality, we refer here to the hierarchical distribution of various social personality characteristics in the group consciousness. As one of the characteristics of the structure, the level has a high and low score, and the criteria for judging the high and low, here we adopt "[vertical The grade]--the priority order of the acquisition of energy" is the division of the hierarchy of social personality, which is mainly based on the importance of the subject to various social personality characteristics or the effort to improve it. a form of energy. Specifically, among the social personality traits of contemporary middle school students, which have high approval, which have medium approval, and which only have low approval, this is their social personality structure. In our questionnaire, the relevant topic is “What do you think is the most important quality of a person?” The options for answering include a total of 14 contemporary personality characteristics, the lowest of which is the 10th item. "Save", and the highest proportion of the selection is the first "self-esteem" and the fourth item "good, tolerant spirit", so I will divide the distance between 1.4% and 14.2% into three equal parts. The range of the three ratios of 1.4% to 5.7%, 5.7% to 10%, and 10% to 14.2% is obtained, and the length of each interval is about %4.3%. This leads to a hierarchy of three levels of low approval, medium approval, and high approval. I think this method is an attempt, but it is still scientific. Low approval level: There are 6 social personalities belonging to this level: 5 “independent thinking”; 6 “generous generosity”; 8 “cooperative spirit”; 9 “respecting old and loving children”; These social personalities are among the types that are not valued in the minds of contemporary middle school students. Only a few of them consider it the "most important quality." Although “diligence and thrift” is an excellent tradition of the Chinese nation, young people in today’s social environment no longer believe in the economic views of their fathers. More people reflect a new concept of financial management. Quality, but will not despise every penny, the flower will not be pity, not should not spend the flowers, so only 1.9% of people agree that "generous generosity" is the most important quality. The low proportion of "respecting the old and loving the young" is probably due to the fact that the status of children in modern families is abnormally high, and middle school students generally have a "little emperor" mentality. They lack a deep understanding of such traditional virtues. In the life, he is pampered and can't bear hardships. Therefore, he does not agree with the practical attitude of “working diligently”. Due to some reasons of the above-mentioned families and schools, the independence of modern middle school students is not strong enough. At the same time, the current education system encourages students to think about the spirit. There are very few factors, so middle school students are generally not aware of the importance of "independent thinking." Finally, the attitude of “lack of cooperation spirit” among middle school students is the most worrying for us. With the increasing specialization of social division of labor and the fact that people’s social interactions have become “large and shallow”, individuals want to be in the future. The success of the society and the lack of a cooperative spirit are tantamount to the Arabian Nights. The contemporary middle school students fail to recognize this and over-emphasize the individual's ability to be personally centered. This is extremely harmful.

Medium approval level: There are four in this level. 2 “Sense of justice”; “competition of competition”; “sincere people to be sincere”; “strong will”. Two or two of them are closer to the requirements of traditional morality for Chinese people.
