For a long time, due to the constraints of traditional concepts, teachers, equipment and other conditions, Chinese small English teaching has always emphasized the written practice of basic knowledge, and has not given substantive attention to the students' listening and speaking skills and the cultivation of English communication skills. Many students have never received scientific and standardized listening and speaking training in their previous studies. Most of them are exposed to written text information rather than verbal information, which leads to serious imbalances in the overall development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Since the establishment of the school, ### has always attached importance to English teaching and adhered to the road of “characteristics, quality, and harmonious development”. After years of exploration efforts, the school has created a good English learning environment for students. First, strive to create and create an environment and atmosphere for learning English. Schools are the garden of culture. The most fundamental aspect of creating English-specific education is to create a strong English campus culture. English campus culture is the soul of English-specific education. 1. There are English everywhere. In the early reading class, the teacher reads the English together with the students; in the spare time, the teachers and students use English to communicate briefly; in every corner of the campus, teachers and students meet in English, and the campus broadcast "voice of English" is also scheduled to start.

3. Everything is in English. The school regularly conducts a variety of English learning activities in a variety of forms, including large-scale events, regular activities and research-based learning activities. 4. The school guarantees the quality of English classroom teaching by strictly selecting excellent teaching materials and 7 English lessons per week. At the same time, it attaches importance to the construction of hidden curriculum, creates a good language and culture environment for students, and selectively conducts bilingual teaching in other disciplines. For example, using the Chinese-English mutual annotation on the Shanghai version of the "Physics" textbook, the physics teacher requires students to add phonetic symbols to English words, and the English teacher is required to standardize the pronunciation, further improving students' interest in learning physics and English learning ability.

Second, strengthen teacher equipment and training, and try to try new teaching methods.

Our school has a very good team of English teachers. Under the leadership of the district's outstanding teachers, excellent class teachers, district-level English subject leaders, and senior teacher Wan Zhenzhen, our school's English-speaking teaching is undertaken by more than a dozen young and middle-aged teachers.
