Summer Social Practice Report of College Students in 2019

Every era will have its own imprint. Every nation has her glory. Every revival will have a glorious testimony. For the rising China, the Olympics is such a witness. Beijing successfully hosted the 29th Summer Olympic Games, which better introduced Beijing and China to the people of the world, and let the world see the great potential of China, so that Chinese culture can better blend with world culture and open up Chinese people. The vision of this Olympic Games will surely leave a precious wealth to the Chinese people. I have the privilege of becoming an Olympic volunteer, taking advantage of the summer practice to participate in the Olympics and get close to the Olympics.

My volunteer service location is the Security Park No. 5 security checkpoint, also known as the Cadillac security checkpoint. The name of the job on our work permit is the audience attendant in the public area. The actual specific work content is the security inspection. Security inspection is the first level of security for the entire venue. The task of the security inspection team is to maintain the order of the security check, reduce the waiting time of the audience, and ensure that the audience quickly pass the security checkpoint to ensure the implementation of the rules.

Let me talk about the overall situation of our security checkpoint. The entrance to the audience in the Olympic Park Central District has No. 8 mouth, No. 5 mouth, No. 25 mouth and No. 2 mouth. Among them, the No. 8 port at Datun intersection is the largest security checkpoint. There are eight sheds and forty planes. The scale is spectacular, the specifications are luxurious, and the innocent is the leading brother in the security checkpoint! Exit 5 is located at the southeast corner of the central area. It is the closest security checkpoint to the Bird's Nest. There are two sheds and ten machines. At the same time, due to the proximity to the Cadillac Hotel, also known as the Cadillac security checkpoint. The No. 25 port is located in the southwest corner of the central area. There are three sheds and twenty planes. It is also the nearest security checkpoint from the South Olympic Center of the Olympic Park, which is the canteen where our volunteers eat. It is adjacent to the Pangu Grand View Seven-Star Hotel and the Olympic West Bus. station. The No. 3 port is located at the southernmost end of the central axis of the central area, and its scale is similar to that of the No. 25 port. In fact, when the design was originally designed, the original intention was to let the No. 8 port bear the most important audience, otherwise the Olympic Park East Bus Station would not be located at the No. 8 port. The 25th and 3rd ports are auxiliary functions. The 5th port is probably the closest to the bird's nest. It may be considered for safety. The design is very small. Maybe the designer has no plan to put pressure on the No. 5 port. However, in actual operation, it was found that this was not the case at all. Most of the pressure on our No. 5 and No. 25 ports, especially our No. 5 port, was so small that it assumed such a large audience pressure. It is conceivable that when thousands of spectators are concentrated in the security checkpoints of only two security sheds, how much pressure will our work be! The No. 3 port is basically no audience, because the design is too unreasonable, it is very difficult to find, let alone the audience, even our volunteers from the outside feel that it is difficult to find the No. 3 mouth. The No. 8 port did not play the role of the original main force, four times the size of ours. Many times the audience was not as good as the No. 5 port, and sometimes the pressure on other security checkpoints was too large. The shuttle bus was used to transport the audience. Go to the 8th. This shows how much pressure we have on the 5th port! The data shows everything, when the opening rehearsal, more than 25,000 viewers chose the 5th. Then as long as there is a match in the Bird's Nest, our traffic is very large, and we will receive two or three thousand viewers only at noon. Although the pressure is very heavy and very tired, we will still strive to provide the best service, so that everyone who enters the Olympic Park can feel the enthusiasm of volunteers.

The security inspection team is the first batch of volunteers who came to the venue to watch. We are the first image and the first business card in Beijing. We know that we have a lot of responsibilities. Therefore, during the training and drills before the competition, we all attached great importance to it and meticulously conducted various common events and unexpected events to ensure the best service during the game. With a heartbeat and full of expectation, we are waiting for the opening of the Olympic Games.

On the afternoon of August 9th, the Olympic Park ushered in the first day of the official start of the competition. At 4:30 in the morning, everyone was dressed neatly and ready to go. Our mood at this time is very complicated, because here we have to face a severe test. The August sun in Beijing is like a fire, especially in the airtight security inspection shed. There is no air conditioner and no electric fan. We have to stay here for nearly ten hours.

The gate opened and thousands of spectators flocked from the buffer zone to the greenhouse. Due to our special geographical environment, the buffer zone was only about seven or eight meters long and could not accommodate too many viewers. This also aggravated the security inspection team. The workload must control the team flow rate and ease the pressure on security and ticket inspection volunteers.

Just as our work was carried out in an orderly manner, there was a conflict between the audience and our volunteers. The audience hoped that the self-contained kettle with hot water could be brought into the public area of the venue, but this was obviously not allowed in the venue. With any container" provisions. Perhaps the weather is too hot, the audience is very excited, no matter how the volunteers smile, patiently explain to the audience why they can not bring the kettle, the audience does not listen. Seeing this scene, I was a bit stunned at first. After a few seconds, I realized my responsibility. I bravely stepped forward and used a set of standardized language to signal the audience and me to solve problems in order to let the audience pass. I patiently explained with a smile, although the audience did not understand the "can not bring their own containers" rule, but under my persuasion, he understood our work and put the kettle in the storage box. In the first battle, I was quite proud of my heart.

Security checkers are the most mundane, but they are extraordinarily great. Don't look at this is a small post, but there are a lot of details to pay attention to: remind the elderly to pay attention to the steps under the feet, let everyone wait in line with pleasure and patience... Sometimes, facing the waiting audience, even the incomprehensible Complaining, we patiently explained that we always put a smile on our face. We serve, we give, we are very tired and very happy.
