In order to resound the call of the Party Central Committee for advocating college students to carry out social practice, our school strongly supports the college students to go out of the campus, go deep into the society, and practice in person. Our youth volunteer service station, with the strong support of the school, formed a 10-member squad. Under the leadership of Director Bu Yuanyue, he walked into Dagangzi Village, Xiyang Town, Yongji County, Jilin City, and successfully completed the practical tasks.
In order to make this practice full and meaningful, before the departure, everyone started a heated discussion on the daily activities of the group in the office. Everyone expressed their opinions and finally summarized the opinions of everyone and almost listed all the things that we can do and benefit the local people. Out, it is roughly divided into two parts: practice and propaganda. Practice includes going to the nursing home to visit and return to some of the elderly people we have visited before, to go to school to connect with middle school students, etc.; publicity includes issues such as Olympic knowledge, children's education and support for the elderly. And the theme of “the city is thinking about rural areas and rural areas going to cities” has been identified. In response to the current situation of rising prices this year and the characteristics of our school's electricity, we have identified an investigation report on the theme “Impact of rising prices on farmers' lives” and “Power surveys”. This discussion not only clarified the goals of our activities, but also made us all yearning for this social practice. When everything is ready, we set the starting date on July 19.
Our practice started with the materials we raised in the large-scale fundraising activities. The day before the departure, we spent a day sorting out the materials collected. Although some students still have exams, they still have no complaints. It reflects our volunteer spirit. At 8:30 am on July 19th, everyone gathered at the office. We 10 people carried 75 bags of finished materials and put them in the car. Although it was morning, the weather was very hot, everyone was tired of sweat, but looking at the neatly packed goods in the car, I thought that we made a contribution to the poor families, everyone showed a happy smile!
With the materials, everyone set foot on the road to Dagangzi Village with an expectation. After an hour or so, we finally reached the destination. We received the two principals of the Dagangzi Nine-year Compulsory Education School. The two principals personally arranged meals and accommodation for us, and expressed their support to us after understanding the tasks and objectives of our activities, and provided us with Very good suggestions, their enthusiasm let us experience the simple folk customs and kind heart of the local people.
After we settled down, we immediately acted according to the plan. First of all, we came to the Xiyang Town Welfare Service Center, which was visited by our volunteers last year. This old people's home was built in XX years and is divided into living and production areas. The fitness facilities are complete and the entertainment projects are abundant. It can guarantee the elderly to spend their old age here. When we went to the nursing home, we were hitting the staff to cut vegetables. After we tried it, we all actively helped to cut the vegetables and transport the cut vegetables to the cellar. Everyone disregarded the clothes and got stuck. The dishes are delivered and the remaining leaves are transported to the pig pens to feed the pigs. Then, under the guidance of the staff, we came to the residence of the old man. We talked, chatted and played cards with the old people. We talked about a retired 83-year-old soldier who sang a war song for everyone. Although the old soldiers are old, But singing the songs is full of enthusiasm, quite a year of style. The three old people in the nursing home recalled the hardships of marching in the same year. They participated in the liberation of Nanjing and Tianjin in 1949. They talked about the deeds of the year. The old soldiers were vividly in sight and pointed to the mountains. It was really a sword, and it was old and strong! Finally, we helped the staff clean the sanitation of the nursing home, watching everyone's busy figure, and the staff gave us a thumbs up. On the second day of the arrival, we donated 75 bags of clothes we brought to the local school students and their families. With the help of the principal, we held a donation. The ceremony, seeing the children's vitality, I hope that they can successfully complete their studies and become the pillars of the country. Every student takes what they want. Although there are not many things, it is not a valuable thing, but we can satisfy the children a little bit and we are satisfied.
One morning, I passed by the laughter of the child. After eating lunch, according to the original plan, we took out the Olympic knowledge leaflet that we printed in advance to carry out the Olympic knowledge publicity. Everyone sent it to the scorching sun. Every passing pedestrian will give them a detailed introduction. I hope that we can make a small contribution to the Olympics as soon as the Olympics are coming. After the completion of the leaflet, we returned to the school, exchanged Olympic knowledge with the students of the school, and held a simple Olympic knowledge contest. Through this competition, each of us has a better understanding of the Olympic knowledge.
On the third day, according to our plan, we conducted a questionnaire survey. We divided the two groups into one group. One group investigated the impact of rising prices on farmers' lives. Another group investigated the situation of rural electricity use. We conducted a survey on every pedestrian in the past. The investigation even went into the home of the local residents to talk to them. Everyone is busy asking every person who can investigate until the information is convincing enough. At night, everyone dragged the tired body to analyze and analyze the data. Looking at the things we personally investigated, everyone has a sense of accomplishment! Everyone soon fell into a dream after the analysis. Although everyone is insisting, after a few days of busy people, everyone is really tired.
Unknowingly, we only have the last day of our activities. We walked into the classroom of the school, met with the students, asked about their study and life, and answered their best efforts to answer their usual doubts. The students were all right. The future is full of hope and full of embarrassment for university life. One of the students expressed the hope that they can get a better education in the middle school of Northeast Normal University and lay a solid foundation for a good university in the future. Seeing their passionate passion, we are a little self-defeating. After a nearly one-hour conversation, we established a good friendship. Our Northeastern Electric Power University youth volunteers are also preparing to establish a long-term cooperative relationship with this school. I hope we can make a contribution to the school and students.
Our activities are close to the end of everyone's busy and sweaty. In the past few days, everyone has insisted, even if it is hard and no complaints, when we went, the only local hotel was renovated, so we can only live in the school kindergarten. In the bedroom, because they have been on holiday for many days, the bed is very wet, but everyone put away the kind of squeaky at home, and did not say anything. It is four days to live. In these four days, we eat in the local canteen and mingle with the students. A good friendship. Even some volunteers are not satisfied with high fever, but they still persist. This kind of volunteer spirit touches everyone around us, makes us work harder, and strives to make our activities more successful. Everyone's pay.
After lunch, everyone set foot on the journey home. We visited the mayor of Xiyang Town by the way. The mayor showed great enthusiasm for us and expressed the hope that we often go to Xiyang Town to engage in activities or play. After a cordial conversation with the mayor, we returned to the Northeast Electric Power University, and the four days seemed to make us mature.
In the past few days, everyone has had a strong feeling for the local area. I hope that we will have the opportunity to come back and see the local people, honest and lovely students. After a few days of joint efforts, everyone’s friendship is stronger and the relationship is closer. I believe that in the future volunteer work, it will be more tacit!
