Radio Station News Channel Summer Internship Report

This year, I was assigned to go to the Xinhua News Agency Hubei Branch for an internship this year. However, for various reasons, I gave up the opportunity to go to Xinhua News Agency. I went to the People’s Broadcasting Station’s comprehensive news channel “Focus Time” column group.

"Focus of Time" is an old-fashioned program of Hubei Radio. It has been awarded the "Young Civilization" by the Central Propaganda Department and the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television every year. Journalists often receive various awards, and many news works have also won national awards. Therefore, although I did not go to Xinhua News Agency, I was quite fortunate to be able to practice in such a program.

As early as the last semester of junior year, the deputy director of the Broadcasting and Broadcasting Department of Hubei Radio News Channel, the old supervisor of the focus, and the Liu Zheng brother of the 96th grade of our school gave us a lesson. During the class, Mr. Liu was consciously invited some reporters and leaders of the radio to give lectures, and most of the reporters in the "Focus on Time" column also met with us. Because several of us have experience in media internships, we have all done it in the school media, and we have just learned the software of broadcast editing, so it is still very fast. We reported to Taili on June 2, and immediately began to find the topic and contacted the interview. Soon, I was a person who had never been exposed to the radio before, and I was familiar with the focus of interviewing, writing, recording, editing, and the various processes on the show. During the one-and-a-half-month period of focus internship, several of us did not rely on teachers, and we independently searched for topics, contacted interviews, wrote drafts, edited, and went online. Basically, we had a preliminary understanding and mastery of the radio production process. After a one-and-a-half-month internship, I made five topics, including plastic limit order, e-waste, selection fee, creation of civilized city, and electronic prescription. There were 9 manuscripts and more than 20,000 words. During the period, he experienced many unannounced visits and was discovered several times. He interviewed famous scholars such as Ye Qing, Li Rongjian and Xiang Bosong. Through the operation of many investigative reports, he greatly improved his journalism business and the ability to independently report in-depth reports. I learned about the production process of broadcast programs, learned to use professional broadcast editing software, and learned to connect with the phone. However, the most important thing is to experience the internship of such a good program in the focus. I have the privilege of working with the teachers of the focus to learn from them.

In mid-July, I happened to see the news of Tencent* Dachu.com recruiting interns. Tencent* Dachu.com is a comprehensive portal of Hubei Province founded by Hubei Daily Newspaper Group and Tencent. I took my first resume with a try. After a rigorous interview, I was fortunate enough to be recruited to Dachu.com. After finishing the radio program and saying goodbye to the teachers and friends of the radio station, I started an internship at Dachu.com and transferred to the online media to "combat." In the one and a half months of Dachu.com, most of the time was spent with the footsteps of the Olympics. I am very grateful to Dachu.com for giving the intern a good exercise opportunity. I can safely put the interns on the front line of the Olympic report, so that we can understand the operation, operation and competition of online media. With the closing of the Olympic Games, our Olympic channel has officially kicked off. Many interns have left the Department of Public Information. There are a lot of familiar faces in the office. The few remaining interns have become The main force of various news updates and special productions in Dachu. In the two months of Dachu.com, I participated in the update of the news channels, Olympic channels, and entertainment channels of Dachu. Through my internship at Dachu.com, my understanding of online media and my ability to journalistic services have been greatly improved. This internship has benefited me a lot.

This summer, from May 28th to today, more than three months, I went from Hubei Radio to Dachu.com, from traditional broadcast media to emerging online media. Although it was not suitable at first, it With the in-depth study, I still learned a lot of things, and I have some experience with all kinds of media. During the period, I miraculously passed the legendary summer of Wuhan. I traveled back and forth between Wuchang and Hankou every day. I met many excellent journalists and online editors and exercised my practical ability. It can be said that This summer's internship is the most outstanding during my college years.
