This time, under the leadership of our mentor, we went to the Xinxiang Valley of Changzhou Changzhou for social practice in the summer vacation. There, we worked hard to improve the body and mind, and helped the butterfly to learn about the life habits of the butterfly. It was very fulfilling. In the beginning of the period, due to the typhoon weather from time to time, our work was relatively easy. Our work is to move seedlings, watering, weeding, loosening, etc. Most of these plants are host plants or honey plants of butterflies. Therefore, the survival and development of these plants directly determines the survival and development of butterflies. Doing these things makes me understand that things are connected. There are quite a few things to pay attention to in these jobs. For example, watering, watering should be poured, not just half water. Most of the seedlings are not placed in the square, or placed in a sultry greenhouse. The evaporation of water is faster, so the control of the amount of water is very important. Due to the typhoon, the sky sometimes rains and is sunny, so the weather factor should also be considered.
In addition, we take turns cleaning the office hygiene and the cleaning of the table every day. The overall sanitation of the room we stayed in was cleaned by one person per week to ensure that the environment was clean and tidy so that it did not pose a threat to the survival of the butterfly larvae in the room.
Due to the peak of butterfly breeding, the larvae collected in the wild survive better in the larvae and petri dishes. As the number of butterflies and larvae increased, the school sister moved the center of the field collection to indoor breeding. In this way, we began to help raise these larvae. These larvae grow very fast and last one or two days in about two or three days. As the age of the worm increases, the body length of the larvae continues to increase and the food intake increases significantly.
Therefore, we go to pick a large bag of leaves to feed them almost every day, and feed them sooner or later. Before feeding, we must pour out the cages and petri dishes of the insects and clean them up before we can put them back into the larvae and put in fresh leaves. Often the larva's stool is still wrapped around the silk it spits on. When it's hard to clean it, we'll change it to a clean cage or petri dish. Those larvae eat a lot and feed 2 or 3 times a day.
Since those larvae are sensitive to the environment, we should always look at the temperature hygrometer to see if it is in the right range. Also pay attention to the ventilation of the room to avoid the invasion of bacterial viruses. These things require us to be highly attentive and patient, and these can exercise us well.

They often tell us about the precautions of butterfly cultivation and some of the habits of butterflies, as well as some knowledge about artificial breeding and artificial mating of butterflies. We listened very carefully and learned very carefully.
When we are free, we often go to the mountains to catch butterflies. The butterfly often flies on the back side of the mountain, and most of them fly very fast. Every time I catch a butterfly, everyone is very happy. After catching the butterfly, I will do the specimen. This has greatly improved our ability to capture butterflies and the ability to produce specimens. We still have to help pull out the peanuts and peel off the sunflower seeds.
