National and English core team leader report
In the spirit of serving the Chinese and English teachers and improving the teaching and research level of Chinese and English teachers, I have completed the following tasks under the guidance of the teachers of the Central Group of Chinese and English teachers, Mr. Tian Xiaoqun.
I. Investigating new forms of teaching and research activities
During the semester, various discussions were conducted on teaching and research activities, and solid and effective teaching and research activities were carried out, creating a rich and innovative teaching and research model.
1. Conducted a discussion of the review class. The review class at the third grade accounts for a large proportion. The regular review class is taught by the teacher, the students listen, and then practice, the classroom atmosphere is rather dull. “How to get a good review class?” This is a question that all English teachers in the third year are concerned about. This semester, we have made bold explorations in this regard. In Tianhe Middle School, a unique teaching review of “Student Subject Independent Review” was held. Teacher Li Jinghua used "noun" as the special theme content, let the students act as "little teachers", and promoted the class to review and summarize the grammatical rules in a cooperative and exchange manner, which greatly exerted the students' potential, and the interaction between the "little teacher" and the students. Very full, so that the teachers from Huadu, Panyu and the brother schools in the district opened their eyes and were amazed.
2. Use the way of coming in and out, strengthen communication with teachers in other districts, and expand the horizons of teachers. Under the leadership of Teacher Tian, the English teachers of the second grade were organized to attend classes, study and exchanges in Huadu District. At the same time, the English Central Group members and key teachers of Huadu and Panyu participated in the teaching and research activities in our district.
3. Conduct layered teaching and research activities. In the past, the teaching and research activities were basically one-size-fits-all. No matter what kind of school listened to the same content, the same requirements were not very effective. For students, we are teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. So, should we carry out different levels of teaching and research activities for teachers from different categories? I reached a consensus with Teacher Tian. In the second semester, I conducted a layered teaching and research activity. The teachers of Tianhe Middle School, who were selected at the provincial level, and the teachers of Tai’an School, who were representatives from ordinary schools, gave lectures on instructional design. After that, they were divided into two groups according to the grade school and the ordinary school. They were hosted by me and Teacher Chen. Explore effective teaching methods. Because the teaching objects are similar, everyone feels that there is a common topic, so they all speak freely and the atmosphere is very warm. After the meeting, the teachers generally reflected that such teaching and research activities are effective and worth participating.
Second, the study of the subject type
The implementation of the new "Course Standards" requires teachers to have new teaching concepts and methods, but this transformation requires a process of "understanding-implementation-mastery". The Institute of Research and Research will study English-based teaching as a breakthrough, through English. I heard that class teaching "reading class teaching" "consolidating class teaching" "expanding class teaching" research and practice, "Lingnan topic research", "district teaching open class" and "upper level demonstration class" The activities constantly infiltrate and practice new teaching concepts and highlight the characteristics of English class teaching. The teachers gradually have a clear understanding of the new teaching concepts and class teaching, and the understanding and grasp of the four types of classes have been achieved. In the teaching of listening and speaking classes and reading classes, teachers can combine the basic requirements of language teaching with the cultivation of students' language skills. When they insist on the training of language skills, they can appropriately and appropriately expand students. language skills.
Third, the "third grade English Sunday improvement class" was launched.
In order to improve the learning interest and learning level of English “learning students”, Mr. He Tian organized the key teachers of the Teaching and Research Association and the English Center Group to use the Sunday time to carry out the remedial work. The members of the teaching and research committee attach great importance to the work of the remedial classes, actively organize the collective discussion of key teachers, prepare lessons together, and select experienced and enthusiastic teachers for teaching. I am responsible for the preparation and teaching of part of the counseling materials. The orientation of the remedial classes is clear, and it is conducted on a voluntary basis for students at the middle and lower levels. The instructors provide counseling in the form of special training according to the students' situation. They have made sufficient preparations before the class, and through the counseling, they have solidified the student foundation and promoted the improvement of the overall level;
4. Organized the China-English Proficiency Competition
In this semester, the National Chinese and English subjects aim to improve students' interest in learning and develop reading ability, and an English competency competition was conducted at the basic level. Before the competition, I worked with Teacher Tian on the staffing arrangements and venue arrangements to make the competition go smoothly. A total of 13,000 students participated in the preliminary round, and nearly 600 people participated in the finals. A total of 184 people won the prize. The competition greatly stimulated the students' enthusiasm for learning and promoted the teaching of Chinese and English to a certain extent.
Fifth, to build a backbone team of discipline resources.
The Institute of Education and Research has established a resource construction team for the three grades of the country. The construction of the topics such as the teaching of knowledge points and classroom teaching materials in the subjects and textbooks has been put into the “Tianhe tribe”, which has served the majority of frontline teachers and deepened. The construction team members conducted in-depth research on teaching and textbooks, improved their ability to control textbooks and organize teaching materials, and trained and trained a number of business backbones. I participated in the establishment of the question bank of the second grade English resource library, and provided high-quality supporting exercises, which were welcomed by the majority of teachers.
Since the beginning of the semester, the work and achievements of the Institute have been obvious to all. I am only one of them. There are still many shortcomings to be improved. I will continue to improve my work in the future work.
