In 2019, under the correct leadership of the District Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Suzhou Book Association, the Xiangcheng Book Association thoroughly implemented the important thinking of the "Three Represents" and the spirit of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and adhered to the party's literary and artistic policy of "a hundred flowers blossoming and a hundred schools of thought contending" and " Three close to the work requirements, sincere unity, seek common development, prosperous creation, and wholeheartedly serve the society, and achieved remarkable results in organization management, artistic creation, and service society, and won good praise from the society. First, the organization and management work has reached a new level.

The soundness and perfection of the organization is the key to the smooth development of the work. Since the establishment of the Xiangcheng District Book Association, special attention has been paid to the organization and team building. Last year, a general meeting and a council meeting were held, and opportunities for various events and competitions were used to strengthen mutual communication. At the end of the year, the website of the Xiangcheng Book Association was opened on Sina.com as a bridge and link for members to keep members informed about the movements and related information of the District Book Association. During the year, the District Book Association also added two directors and six members, and recommended one outstanding member to join the Suzhou Book Association and two members to join the Provincial Book Association.

Second, members made new breakthroughs in artistic creation.

Calligraphy creation and exhibition are the main lines of the association's work. In 2019, there was a new breakthrough in the level of calligraphy creation in our district. Over the past year, more than 20 works have been selected to participate in various national, provincial and municipal exhibitions. More than 100 works have been published and incorporated into the professional newspapers, magazines, collections and calligraphy mainstream networks.

In June 2019, Wang Shaohui won the first prize and He Yuqing won the second prize, Shen Cailin, Shi Zhijie, Hou Jinting, Cheng Bonan, Jin Jianguo, Sheng Jianming, in the Suzhou City’s “Integrity is Fu” painting and calligraphy competition held by the Suzhou Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection. Zhou Yi won the third prize.

In June 2019, Sheng Jianming won the third prize in the “Welcome to the Olympics” enterprise staff painting and calligraphy competition in Jiangsu Province, and Shen Cailin won the Excellence Award;

In July 2019, "The Exhibition of the Paintings and Paintings of Xiangcheng" was published in the "Calligraphy";

In the second half of 2019, Cao Houling, Zhou Xuegeng, Fang Jianming, and Shi Zhijie were selected as “Wumen Book Road – Suzhou Calligraphy Jinjing Exhibition” and exhibited at the National Art Museum on March 21, 2019.

Third, service members and society show new highlights.

In 2019, the Book Association launched a series of activities around serving members and serving the public, further improving the artistic level of its members, and at the same time playing an active role in liaising and coordinating the promotion of cultural development in the region.

On July 6, the Book Association held the first half of the working meeting. The meeting has three agendas: one is to arrange the next stage of work; the second is to comment on the work of the members of the book association; the third is to arrange the work of the Chinese Calligraphy History Forum. More than 30 members have brought their own works to observe and exchange on the spot. The book association invited Mr. Lin Zaicheng to comment. Mr. Lin has made in-depth and meticulous comments on each piece of work. He does not talk about it and does not keep it. He has been standing and commenting for nearly two hours. In the afternoon, he continued to carry out individual exchanges, which benefited everyone. Also deeply touched.

On the morning of July 18th, the "First Chinese Calligraphy History Forum" was grandly opened in Xiangcheng District. This is the first high-end academic forum of calligraphy jointly launched by Suzhou City and the Chinese Calligraphers Association. Fushen, Bai Qianshen, Huang Wei, Cong Wenjun, Zhang Pengchuan and other five calligraphy research experts and masters and doctoral students of more than 50 key universities. More than 100 calligraphy lovers from all over the country gathered together. Zhao Changqing, the party secretary of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and other leaders attended the opening ceremony. In order to run the event well, many comrades such as Wang Shaohui, Zhou Xuegeng, Fang Jianming, Shen Cailin, Shi Zhijie, Sheng Jianming and Wang Yifeng gave up their rest for a few days, and took the time to participate in the conference work, contributing to the success of the event. . At the same time, the "Cosmopolitan Association of Paintings and Calligraphy Exhibitions" organized by the Book Association and the American Association was also launched, showing the style of painting and calligraphy of Xiangcheng to experts and peers.

In order to improve the enthusiasm of the majority of members, the members of the District Federation of Literature and Art and the Association of the Book Association participated in the 6th National New Talent Exhibition, organized and sent 11 works of 11 people, and uniformly paid the entry fee of more than 500 yuan.

At the end of the year, the exhibition of paintings and calligraphy for the 30th anniversary of the reform and opening up of Xiangcheng District was successfully held. The Book Association and the American Association have collected a total of 44 paintings and calligraphy works. Due to limited space, 26 paintings and calligraphy works were exhibited in the conference hall on the first floor of the water side, which was highly praised by the representatives of the two associations.

On January 21, 2019, some key members of the District Book Association actively participated in the "three rural areas" activities organized by Xiangcheng City Federation of Literature and Art. Despite the light rain, eight comrades such as Shen Cailin, Sheng Jianming, Tan Liangen, Tang Jianliang, Zhou Yi, Wang Yifeng, Huang Xiang, and Zhi Zhijie were enthusiastic. In an hour, more than 300 Spring Festival couplets were written. The Spring Festival couplet, full of blessings, was sent to the public and was warmly welcomed by everyone.

In addition, the majority of the book association members are also enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings. After the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake, the members of the book association were in the disaster area. They expressed their love for the suffering compatriots through their pens. They created 20 works, together with the "Flower City Spring". Part of the works of the calligraphy and painting exhibition is divided into 18 groups, each group is 3,000 yuan, and the charity sale is 54,000 yuan. All donations are donated to the district charity association.

2019 work concept

This year, the District People's Activities Painting and Calligraphy Activity Room will be opened. We will serve as a base for the Book Association to build a good service platform for members to learn, communicate and improve.

First, creation and improvement

1. Guide members to create. Member creation is still the main task of this year, and member works strive to be selected for breakthroughs in national, provincial and municipal professional exhibitions.

2. Strengthen observation and exchanges. Each quarter, a member's post work will be held in the activity center to advocate more posts, more ancient ideas, and improve the artistic level of members.

3. Hold lectures and pen meetings. Organize pen meetings and lectures in a timely manner, and members will submit one work per quarter. The association organizes invitations to comment on the works.

Second, exhibitions and events

1. Organize a calligraphy exhibition celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

2. Hold a personal exhibition of directors every month.

3. Organize the “Book Xiang into the community” for the people's service activities in a timely manner.

4. Prepare the second national youth calligraphy and engraving exhibition.

Third, organization and management

1. Hold one or two member exchange meetings, organize public welfare activities, and make key contacts with key members. Do a good job of collecting membership fees.

2. Relying on the Internet to increase the propaganda and reporting of the work of the book association, run the blog of the Xiangcheng Book Association, upload the activities of the book association in time, and invite the members to actively participate in the posting.

3. Gradually establish a membership book archive, and fill out the membership creation activity table by December 20th each year.
