Dear students,
good morning everyone! The topic of my speech is "Never give up."
As a high school student who is about to take the college entrance examination, we are marching on the journey of life struggle, the long march, we have just started. At this initial stage, we got applause and suffered setbacks.
A few proofs of the few months after the monthly exam and the competition are the best proof. In the face of achievements, we must undoubtedly win without arrogance and make persistent efforts. In the face of failure, we must firmly say that we must give up.
Mr. Abraham Lincoln, a 24-year-old businessman who failed, a 26-year-old lover died, a 27-year-old mental breakdown, and many years of running for the Senate and Vice President in the middle ages failed. Perhaps only these can be regarded as real setbacks in life.
Faced with so many setbacks, Lincoln did not give up his pursuit, but still worked tirelessly. In the end, he became the 16th president of the United States. It was precisely because he never gave up in the face of setbacks that Lincoln finally realized his own ideals.
