Interview Intel: technical ability is above everything else
Interviews from multinational companies are usually not "once and for all", and they all require five levels of leadership. Intel is no exception. Applying for the position of software engineer, Godix participated in 4 rounds of interviews. The first 3 rounds were technical interviews, which were hosted by the technical department. The last round was the interview of HR. The intention of such an arrangement is obvious: for this position, technical ability—that is, “hard” skills—is more important than “soft” skills such as emotional intelligence, and only those with excellent technical skills can pass the technology. Strict screening of the department is eligible to enter the HR interview room. The technical interview involves a wide range of content, software, hardware, programming, network systems and other aspects of the questions will be asked, there are some intellectual problems. The time for each interview is about half an hour. The most impressive round of interviews took a whole day, and received a “wheel battle” from eight technical department interviewers until they were too tired to speak. The final HR interview focuses on the internal qualities of communication skills, expression skills, and emotional intelligence. Applicant Experience The “wheel war” style technical interview is a double test of intelligence and physical strength. This kind of interview is very hard, it requires high-speed scanning of technical knowledge stored in the brain, and immediately integrates accurate and fluent answers. If the technical knowledge is not prepared well, it will not escape the "eyes of the eyes" of many technical engineers. Fortunately, Intel's interviewers are very nice. Here is a little trick. In the environment of the Intel Software R&D Center, where technical research is intense, technical engineers are more willing to work with people who can work hard to develop. The interview should try to convey this information, and the relatively casual, clean and tidy dress can win the approval of the interviewer.
